And it says that we only have to believe in Him and He gives us the right to become Gods' children, born again with a new birth, a spiritual birth.

Yes!! And I AM laughing because I remember how shocked I was when I first saw that in John! ;)
I have always been confused by that because people talk about God and then in midsentence say Jesus Christ so I wasn't sure if Jesus was God's son.

Do u have to be baptized to be born again?
It says you have to baptized with Gods' Spirit to be born again. And that in order to receive this Baptism and new birth, you only need to believe in Jesus, what He has said and done. And He says anyone who believes in Him will never die but will live forever.

And He also says that if you believe in Him, He will send this Spirit of God to you and that Spirit will explain the words to you when you read them. It is too confusing to try to read and understand the words without this Helper, this Spirit. It all just looks like gobbledygook without Him!

So, if you believe with all your heart that Jesus came in the flesh and died on the cross for the forgiveness and erasing of all your sins, and if you believe what He has said, there is nothing to prevent you from receiving the Holy Spirit. Do you believe that He will do all of this for you?

True. I have never been baptized, been afraid to. Been believing this by myself for awhile now so this is a step I take alone. I know it needs to be alone but it's hard when the environment u are in (ex: local churches) aren't who u feel u connect with. And when other environment (friends) dont have the same belief as u it's very hard.

So look how much you've seen already! He will show you many things like this!

I believe He could. I guess just deep down I know I need to know more about Him before giving my all to Him. Is that bad?

Yes, I know how hard it is. The world, and satan, do not want you to go to Him to be set free and to have eternal life and to have a relationship with Him. They will think you are very foolish. You may lose some friends. My own family thinks I'm crazy! But I love Him with all my heart and He is more important to me than they are.

That's where I get scared to agree. I love my family more than anything. I mean some of them have done things where I can get what u are saying...but then again I wouldn't want to ever turn my back on my family because they have always loved me unconditionally

No that is not bad. No one who makes a commitment to follow Him and give up the world, should do so without first being certain He is the way for them to go. You should read about Him and all He did and said and determine for yourself if His Kingdom sounds better than the world. You can always stay with the world if you decide to. He doesn't force anyone to follow Him.

That he doesn't do your right. But without him I am afraid to live within the world.

I didn't turn my back on my family. And they are still a part of my life. But...they are sort of lost to me because...they do not understand what (WHO) I have found.

That's a valid fear. The world and your life in it is temporary. He is forever. Considering that we have maybe 70 or 80 years here, one has to carefully weigh what is more important.

Just crazy when you don't know where to start. I want to go in different countries and help people. I want to meet the people that have the same beliefs as me. It is hard because around here.....there is VERY few. I keep to myself a lot because I feel the good things I have left, I don't want to lose. Then again I question when I am going to meet or even find a place where I am accepted or even believes in God the way I do. It's hard.

Faelynn, it has been so nice to meet you! I look forward to hearing what you think after you read all that Jesus did and said. Mathew through John is where you will find that. Stick to the New Testament at first. I'll definitely check back to hear what you have to say and what you think. I'm dying of curiosity actually, to hear! :)

I know He is wanting me to make the first move, by myself. when I did I was shot down by a small congregation bc they thought I came there for my grandmother. When really I came there because I thought it would be a good church for me. I was judged and felt horrible for even trying.
