There is a bread you can buy in many stores, called Ezekiel bread, or something like that.... here it is... supposedly made from what is said in the book of Ezekiel...

I've tried it. It's not too bad at all, but I'm pretty sure you should refrigerate it. It's made from sprouted grains, IIRC.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]“But as for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt, put them in one vessel and make them into bread for yourself; you shall eat it according to the number of the days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days. [SUP]10 [/SUP]Your food which you eat shall be twenty shekels a day by weight; you shall eat it from time to time. [SUP]11 [/SUP]The water you drink shall be the sixth part of a hin by measure; you shall drink it from time to time. [SUP]12 [/SUP]You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human dung.” [SUP]13 [/SUP]Then the Lord said, “Thus will the sons of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations where I will banish them.” [SUP]14 [/SUP]But I said, “Ah, Lord [SUP][b][/SUP]God! Behold, I have never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth.” [SUP]15 [/SUP]Then He said to me, “See, I will give you cow’s dung in place of human dung over which you will prepare your bread.” [SUP]16 [/SUP]Moreover, He said to me, “Son of man, behold, I am going to break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and drink water by measure and in horror, [SUP]17 [/SUP]because bread and water will be scarce; and they will be appalled with one another and waste away in their iniquity.
not sure I want to eat it anymore, after reading that.....

Raw Milk ?
Honey?
Fish?
Fermented Foods?
Not depleting the soil of vital nutrients ?

Deuteronomy 5:16 (BBE) Give honour to your father and your mother, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God; so that your life may be long and all may be well for you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

Matthew 15:17
Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

1 Corinthians 8:8
But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

Romans 14:17

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

1 Timothy 4:8
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

I am a vegetarian, and other than a few genetic illnesses, I am reasonably healthy. In fact, I can't digest meat, so not eating it is no loss. Although Willie, I do eat fresh seafood, on occasion. So, pescatarian?

Tonight, I made fresh borscht, (beet soup) with almost everything picked straight out of the garden. I had these huge beets, and they were just begging to be made into soup.

Turns out, (and my husband agrees) it is the sweetest, least bitter borscht I have ever made. I guess the extra warmth and sun here makes the veggies sweeter.

And beets are very good for cleansing, especially the liver. I will make more, I have quite a few beets left. And salad, carrots and celery from the garden for lunch. And lots of fruit, some from my son's fruit trees. I love living in a fruit growing area! And with a long growing season for vegetables.

Wait, why is this in the BDF? Isn't there a different forum for discussing food preferences.

I guess I really call my diet my "God diet!" My goal is to eat food in forms as close to the way God created it. So, although cooking is ok, processed foods and meat, things that come out of cardboard boxes, that you can heat in the microwave, and so forth, those are NOT on the "God diet!"

It's laid out pretty clearly in Genesis 1:29.
