The proper understanding of the righteousness of God in Christ which is given to us as a gift when we hear the message of Christ is vital to growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

If we hold onto our identity as the righteousness of God in Christ no matter what happens in our life - especially if you sin . ( No, this is not a license to sin all we want as some falsely accuse others of saying )

Then that confession of this truth in Christ's finished work on the cross and resurrection for us will change our behavior because it is all based on Christ alone. In Him we have righteousness. 1 Cor. 1:30. 2 Cor. 4:18

Grace will show up in our righteousness to bring outward transformation of what already is in our new creation in Christ.

Romans 5:21 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Righteousness will cause you to rule and reign in every situation. This is why we worship Him. He has done it all!

A righteousness identity will attract the grace of God to bring about all that is already ours in Christ.

Awake to righteousness and sin not. Awake in Greek means "to come to one's true self, to sober up to be who you are".

For those that like to feed themselves. Here is an excellent teaching on "Awake to righteousness".

These are only 25 minute episodes and I think there are 11 in total if any one is interested.

This is going through the book of Romans.

Listen to them with your spirit as the Holy Spirit will bear witness of the truths of Christ on the inside of us.

It is a tough one I do not see the problem with that. I have heard many explanations some more convincing than others, hard to say. It says what it says, but lucky for me I do not have any decisions to make as a pastor or anything, so does not matter to me. I let them worry about those pastoral letters.

I know how neither is to have authority over the other. ;)

Plus notice 'woman" is singular Paul was speaking about one problematic woman that was trying to steal the show.

No problem. I understand. All is well.... :)..

Give a listen to the teaching and let me know what you think. I love how she relates ( not sure if it is in this first one or not ) our union and communion with God. We don't have any relationships with a "doctrine" - it is with the Father and our Lord.

I'm off for the day. Beautiful here in NB today.

There are people who call themselves prophecy preachers. All they preach on is prophecy.

The truth is there's no such thing, for God wouldn't limit them to that, especially with all the diverse needs in the church.

So, why should we believe then in the grace preachers?!?

Because Jesus gave "grace teachers" like paul His gospel for us.

Yes...that is what Paul did for sure.

Acts 20:24 (NASB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] "But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

The teaching in the OP is excellent for anyone that has the time to view it. The Spirit will speak life to us as we see Christ and all that He has done.

Let's not let others derail the OP and leave the OP open for those that have had the chance to view the teaching on righteousness.

I agree.

What I find useful is the teaching she does on how to live out this relationship we have with the Lord because of the gospel of the grace of God in Christ.

How do we live this out when the storms of life come screaming at our door? We don't have a relationship with a doctrine - either grace, righteousness or faith. We have "Him" and in Him are all things.

You GOT TO know Bruce about Christians like me who grew up in the church and were taught to notice and judge everything about everyone. It takes a long time to UNLEARN the things so ingrained in our human personalities. It takes the Holy Spirit to deal with people like me as He re-educates us to see things as they are and not the way we were taught to see life for so many years.

The teacher in your video first off is a pretty woman. She is especially feminine and petite and has a very sweet gentle voice. Everything about her says "woman who should be submitting not teaching". This is how many of us older Christians were taught to see this lovely Christian lady and how we respond to what she and others like her say. Many a Christian is unable to even stand to listen to her because they can't get past the image.

We really were taught to believe she is in some blatant way usurping the authority of her husband and or the pastor and those at the church she goes to and is preaching at. AND we also judge those who allow her to take this position. We declare them also as weak and unable to uphold the Scriptures about woman being the weaker vessel who should not be allowed to speak in church and to teach men. And that even the woman's femininity is a slap in the face to the man and how God meant Christians to be taught and see the different roles of men and women. Oh., and the little bit of animal print on her blouse is also a tell tale sign that she is rebellious., another slap in the face of God and man.... "animal prints" for woman is a sign of rebellion don't you know.... That is how we were taught.

The reason I posted this on your thread is to show that I must make a conscience effort to see with the eyes of the Holy Spirit and not with my.... "old time religion teachings that were good enough for grandpa and grandma"

When so many of us Christians have been raised in a belief system that has distorted different teachings in the Bible to fit our societal underpinnings., it takes an active participation with the Holy Spirit to be WILLING to see the Bible teachings differently. EVEN when we know this from the Holy Spirit for a fact., we still have to keep on "repenting" (changing our minds) and allow the continual process of the renewing of our minds in the truth to keep on working.,and washing., as if water is being used as a rinse off agent.

To take part and dare to stand up to years of teachings that has intertwined and woven itself into the fabric of our own thoughts having made us see life as we know it today. And daring to face that we were actually taught to judge and assess wrongly. And daring to face the truth that if we were incorrectly taught in this matter., how many other matters will we need to reassess and redo?

It at first seems like an IMPOSSIBLE task and that we will be lost in the confusion. But because the truth of God is bigger and higher than our minds and our ideas., He can show us the truth without depleting us. And what really happens is He can actually and WILL actually strengthen us in the process of the renewing. That the truth coming in and the Holy Spirit showing us we can trust and believe Him., the truth WILL for sure lead us out of our own mind's "bondage" and set us free.

I agree Joanie - our church backgrounds seem to be a mixture of good things and some not so good things and a religious stronghold in our minds is a very strong one.

Only the renewing of our minds to the truths of Christ by the Holy Spirit can break this off our lives.

The understanding of righteousness is vital for grace to have it's way in our lives and it is all based on Christ Himself.

I must say that "animal prints" being a sign of rebellion is a new one for me....lol

This teacher has a great series called :Living loved" - where she talks about living the true Christian live based on God's good opinion of us and knowing and experiencing His great love and grace towards us.

The Lord has given us gifts in the body of Christ and each of us are anointed in a certain area and this is why we need each other in the body of Christ. Each part supplying to the other.

1Co_15:34 Awake to righteousness, AND sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Do you see how this generation is blind to the second part of that statement. Oh this generation sees and understands the first part which says "Awake to Righteousness" but altogether fail to see and understand the conjunction word "AND" and the couple of words that follow. "SIN NOT"

So it is NOT Awake to Righteousness. What it says is "Awake to Righteousness, and sin not" That is the TRUTH. The "AND" puts them together, not one without the other. Which other verses confirms this by teaching. Those who do unrighteousness are unrighteous, those who do righteousness are Righteous. Therefore i teach also, to awake to righteousness and stop sinning, which is nothing different that what the Word of God teaches also. Shall we continue in sin? God forbid.

Rom_6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Yet Christians of the last day generation think they CAN live in sin, and still be OK with God. Jesus also told a man and a woman to "Go and Sin NO more" now this generation can easily explain away and make void the statement Jesus made to the Woman, saying He Meant for her to stop doing adultery NOT SINNING. But how do they explain away His statement to the man "Go and Sin No More" what sin did that man commit to make His statement void and not mean what He said. What if Jesus meant exactly what He said to the Man and to the Women. What if Jesus knew that what He said would be written down exactly how He intended to say it. What If He meant what He said to them? Well that would line up with all of the Scriptures which teaches AGAINST SINNING. Sinning is evil, sinning is darkness, sinning is obey the enemy of Jesus. Your master is to whom you choose to obey, if unto sinning, then according to the Word of God who is your master? Woe to this generation who will not hear the TRUTH when they read it, blind and deaf to the TRUTH.

Besides I do understand how she would have authority over any man that watched it, you are right this is not the place or is it even the situation. I don't see how listening/watching to a Bible study in a youtube video is a women having authority over a man.

By understanding that awaking to righteousness includes following and obeying the instructions of the apostles, who themselves were taught by Christ and the Holy Spirit. One of those instructions was that within the local church or assembly, women are forbidden to preach, teach, or take authority over men, since that would be usurping authority. But when a woman "teaches" on radio or television, the listener has the option of shutting off the broadcast.
