Is wisdom something we automatically acquire with age, or is wisdom something we earn by walking with the Lord? Or neither?

I believe wisdom is 'spiritual knowledge' while knowledge (things you have learned over time) is 'earthly'.. (?) Wisdom comes from God, he gives as He pleases, even to those who ask for it. The people I miss the most in my life are those that had great spiritual impact on my life or set a great example with their own walk with God. I always looked at them as 'wise'. They were spiritually mature.

In my opinion ONLY; I beleive that in the Song Of Moses where HE says HE will turn HIS back to us;And I am pretty sure we have ALL heard,as in the begginnig so shall it be at the END!
One of the most difficult times the people of GOD went through, was that 40 years in the wilderness with GOD.
In my opnion;I beleive that WE in this Fig Tree Generation have went through a 40 year spiritual wilderness(blindness) to the true WORD of GOD.
If you go to a Bible dictionary, and read the definition given of The Holy Spirit; to me it does not make sense. However if you go through it again changing the male conatation to female, to me it makes total sense!
The Entire Bible is about FAMILY and Nature: It would seem to me that eveything that is Created, is created for Her Intellectual Stimultion,eg: Education,Communcation,Music etc...And HIS Physical Pleasure,eg: Building,Creating,Sports,Amusement Parks,etc...And because WE are a part of each of them Children of Conciosness WE get to enjoy ALL OF IT!!!
I sure PRAY this is not weird or difficult to understand; Because if WE make The TRUTH anymore difficult then what a 13 year old Child is able to UNDERSTAND, AT THIS TIME! Then all WE are doing is adding to the confusion and Helping Nothing.
The TRUTH is easy to understand and easy to Entreat,Love & Wisdom not OUR Enemy The king of Babolyon,Confusion & Hatred!
Although i am sure not ALL will agree, I just hope this helps one more child of conciousness GOD(Get Over Death) so then they can help someone else GOD. Because this Death _____ 'S gotta GO!!! Love & Peace to ALL in CHRIST!!!

Old people can be very foolish, can’t they?

Just because we are old doesn't mean we are foolish, I don't think.

Certainly the Lord gives us wisdom. He gives it to us if do his will. We gain more as we grow older, if we stay on track. But many older people seem very, very foolish, while many younger people seem very wise. Does that seem accurate?

Yes, I agree with you. Perhaps it is because the older people have built a wall around themselves and refuse to open themselves up and think outside the box. Maybe through bad life experiences?

Pro 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

I think proverbs will answer your question :)

Everything down here that is Good is in a natural state,to understand on a More natuaral level.
When you study you will come to realize that every caring person that is younger is stronger, meaning that they did a better job at standing against satan at the original overthrow attempt; That is why you are in a land blessed of GOD, in a time that has more eduction opinions and comforts than any generation before in the History of mankind.
It would have taken a VERY Major Deception to have Deceived an Obviosley Highly Intelligent Universe. The T-Rex and ALL those vicoius carnivour creatures would have done a pretty good job.Especially in an Herbivour Garden(Museum)of LIFE.
Realizing that the further back you go in time, the more guilty the people are in that Deception that took place, helps you to understand why the further back in time you go,the more brutal the times were to live in.
The proof of Wisdom is irrefutable; It is the Key of David; The Key to the TRUE Christianity; This Proof is in Understanding that the Coalitoin of Armies that prevented the 7 Major Attempted World Take Overs;Had this to SAY!!! WE have the KNOWLEDGE of the Spirit of WISDOM!!!
Don't be frightened by this little child;as you are also the Generatoin of the children of GRACE!!!
Being a Child of Common Sense, You Know I have to stop this next WAR! Why? well look at weapons, do you really think there would be anything left to save it I didn't Stop it!!!
So yes the younger are smarter and stronger but just as those armies ,I state only that I have the knowledge of the spirit of WISDOM!
OUR Father is Very Fair and Even handed, that is why the curse HE placed upon the Earth is the carnivour consuming situation were in,So WE do not ask HIM a Question that HE WILL Never answer,Christ wiil answer that Question on The Lord's Day! to those who don't get it now in the Flesh!
Never forget OUR FATHERS MAIN WISH!!! That ALL would come to Repentace; That WE are THEIRS & THEY are OUR's LOVE & WISDOM!!!
Love & Peace Forever in CHRIST!!!

I have always viewed knowledge as informational and wisdom as relational.

I believe wisdom is to know how to react to situations, and to do the thing that has the best outcome. IE if your having a problem with someone, you want to use wisdom to resolve it and not react on our emotions.

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

How does one know if one lacks in wisdom?

There is Wisdom and then there is Knowledge.
Knowledge is what you gain in the process of learning...via a variety of methods.
WISDOM is what you do with that knowledge, using the knowledge in ways that will result in positive outcome.

and STUPIDITY....is having the knowledge and NOT using it.

I don't know if I can define how you know, but when someone lacks wisdom it seems to be apparent to everyone except them.

I was once told that wisdom is the abuility to live in faith what one has learned.
That it is not the knowladge, but living the knowladge that is the mesure.
