That would be the humanistic solution to the problem. The simpler and spiritual solution would be that God gave every word to Moses, included the jot's and the tittles. Indeed this was the attitude and understanding of Hebrew scribes, who counted every letter in the Torah, since Hebrew is consonantal. Moreover, to this day there are Hebrew mathematicians who believe that there is a hidden Bible code within the Torah itself which has predictive value. Regardless, we should be clear that the Higher Critics were rationalists and humanists and rejected the supernatural solution. I trust you will not accept their ideas.
