YOU ARE PERFECT IN GOD’S EYES

God sees you with no flaw, spot or imperfection, so honor His Word and the finished work of His Son by saying, “Amen!” Don’t doubt your perfection in Christ.

To see yourself as far from being perfect is not modesty, but a failure to understand the perfect sacrifice that Jesus has made for you.

The Bible tells us, “For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified”. Did you get that? You have not only been sanctified, that is, made holy, but by the same offering of His body, you have been perfected. You are both holy and perfect in God’s eyes!

Your sins have been purged perfectly. Today, Jesus is seated at His Father’s right hand not because He is the Son of God (although that is true), but because His work of purging your sins is completely finished and perfect!

So instead of being conscious of your sins, which is to have an evil conscience (Hebrews 10:22), you can have a perfect conscience, a conscience that is free from the guilt and condemnation of sins.

When you find yourself conscious of your sins, just say, “Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your wonderful work at the cross. It is a perfect work that has removed all my sins completely.

“Holy Spirit, thank You for convicting me of righteousness, not my own, but God’s righteousness given to me as a gift. Keep on convicting me in the days to come, reminding me especially when I fail that I am still the righteousness of God in Christ.”

My friend, God sees you perfect without any spot of sin. He sees you covered in the beautiful white robes of His own righteousness. He treats you like a righteous man because that is what He has made you. So expect good things to happen to you because blessings are on the head of the righteous! (Proverbs 10:6)

You are citing an excellent source in these posts. The only problem with this one is that it invites misunderstanding.

I'm sure Pastor Prince is not preaching the heresy of sinless perfection but this could be mistaken for it; if one didn't know better.

It's a relief to know that in God's sight, I am righteous and without blame before Him in Love. That is how He sees us believers. And because He sees us according to the Spirit and not according to our flesh., we can always go to Him and find grace and help in time of need. We are ALWAYS worthy and able to go to Him because of Jesus.

No matter what sin our flesh is struggling with., we are and always will be righteous in the sight of God because of His Son Jesus. That is our standing now today as we live and move here on earth. It is not what will be., it is what IS today because of Jesus. In order to have good success in our earthly lives we have to recognize this truth as real and not something that is to come. It is done and finished 100% we are righteous IN Christ and that is our standing now.

We use the grace God has given to walk this out. And He reward us for using the grace of God to walk this out! He is amazing to deal with us according to Jesus. So many believers don't understand this truth and spend their lives trying to earn it just as I used to. And the failure to be good enough slaps us down every time because in and of ourselves we are not able to do anything. And the devil knows we are limited in our faith-sight so he accuses us day and night if we allow him to.

In order to resist the devil so he will flee we must recon ourselves dead to that sin nature and alive unto God IN Christ. It is not our work that causes this but the work Jesus finished on the cross and reconning HIM in our lives as our High Priest who does the standing. I have to always go back to Jesus and that is when I have good success in the walk of faith.

The Messiah gave Testimony in Revelation to encourage us to work and be perfect as He did during His Ministry. I know it is nice to think that we can not defile our garment but it is written that some had. Now the power of GOD leads us on the path of Righteousness following the Good Shepherd. If the Lord says sin no more believe Him.. and the power of GOD will Keep you.. but without belief you accept you are dead in your trespasses.. a New seed which is the Holy Spirit is given and you are alive to walk in the Spirit which is subject to GOD's Law. Christ within gives us the power to love and serve GOD in Spirit and Truth.

Romans 6

15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Obey from the heart the doctrine of the Lord's Testament.... let no theology come between you and the pure Truth..

Hi Marc., I appreciate your giving me the benefit of the doubt. No., it's not about sinless perfection but yes., you are right., many people can take part of a truth and go off in a huff as many do when the grace of God in Christ is discussed.

We believers have been made perfect in Christ in our new man. Our new man IS our new manner of life. Our old man has been crucified with Christ. It is gone. We are actually learning how to walk in newness of life and it's done in a totally different way than we used to live. We we do life now by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. That is how we do it. Not by our striving to change the old manner of living. We have to enter into who we are IN Christ and learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and NOT our old way of life that used to do the directing and send us caution signals against the truth of God.

We used to live by our wits. We used to have to fight to get what we need and want in life. We used to be alone in the world without God. But now IN Christ we have all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places which are in fact., in us because Christ dwells in you. We are learning to work out our own salvation in all seriousness of mind and devotion to who we are today and not who we were yesterday. We are learning how to work out what Christ has put in us.

How many believers walk in newness of life today? Have we been told and has it been stressed to us that we are no longer that old man but a new man? I was not taught this for many years. I was taught there is a civil war going on in me.

How many Christians still believe we carry that old dead man carcus around? There used to be a practice of punishment where a murderer had the dead victim on their backs and the death would be on them as they tried to live and maneuver in their lives.

That is how many Christians believe and live their lives. But the old man is dead. We have only the echo of our old man that we learned how to live by in times past. Now we are called to put away that old manner of living and walk in newness of life.

Thank God for Jesus and the paid for grace that allows us to walk without condemnation and guilt. There is no more condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. We are righteous in His sight. Our standing is righteousness. We received it as a gift when we received Jesus as our Savior.

Many things will we hear about the Bible will take us to do a double take while we are learning to put down our old manner of living. How we read the Bible and how we were taught to walk as Christians. It takes time to really hear what is being said in the Bible before we jump to conclusions. I know this can be hard to do but we were called to "hard" We have the Holy Spirit to show us the truth. I've also discovered that the truth will set me free but the lies will keep me in chains. Jesus has set us free and who the Son sets free is free in deed.

Yes., we learn about this new heart we have been given. Apply the truth that the old man is dead and we are no longer bound to follow in that manner of life. We are now bound to Jesus and to follow the Spirit in the new man. Our old manner of living is how we used to live and we did it habitually. We learned how to breath and think and walk according to our old man and that manner of life. But now we are called out from among the dead and to walk in the Spirit who is in us.

We can't do this by trying to bend the old manner of life. We have to actually RECON it dead. And now see how in Christ we are a new creation old things are passed away behold all things have become new. If we don't see ourselves IN Christ we won't have good success. We will be fighting a memory that used to hold us captive.

Our old man now is just like the sound and constant ringing of a bell that rang on for years. When we get saved and out from under it., we still hear the echos of the bonging of the bell. But the bell has stopped and been taken down. (old man dead and gone) Recon it to be true and walk in newness of life regardless of the echo and old man and it's manner of living. Amen!

The closer we come to Christ the faultier we will see ourselves, we can't have a deep view of the perfect, pure and loving character of Jesus and not see room for improvement in our character.
There are two errors that need to be mentioned, and guarded against. The first is that of looking to our own works, trusting in what we can do to bring ourselves to salvation or in harmony with God. It is impossible because it is the grace of God alone that can transform us, and make us holy.
The second error is the belief that Christ releases us from keeping the law of God, through grace alone our works have nothing to do with our redemption. The law of love is an expression of Gods character, and when the principle of love is implanted in the heart, when we are renewed after the image of Him that created us, the new covenant promise is fulfilled. (i will put my law in their hearts and their minds will i write them.) Heb 10:16. If the law is written on the heart will it not shape the life? This is the love of God that we keep His commandments 1 John 5:3, 2:4
We do not earn Salvation but thanks to faith in His grace we are changed to become partakers in obedience.

Hi Innerfire., As a believer I am already righteous in Christ and am daily reconning that truth and standing in that truth of His forgiveness continually. When I sin I repent which I have learned to mean "change my mind" to what I used to think and believe what God's Word says. Our minds are renewed and we are able to believe instead what God says in His Word and by His Spirit. We should be daily having our minds renewed.

Jesus blood is always cleansing us believers continually. I am now able to boldly go to the throne of grace and find help in time of need. 1 John 2:1 We have that Advocate now as believers.

1 John is written to a mixture of different people in the crowd and some were people who did not believe in the reality of sin. Many were still yet to hear the Gospel and also to "my little children" those who have already heard it and now could boldly come to the throne of grace. Before that boldness came, we needed to confess our sins and only then could He forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.

In Christ we ARE righteous. We do not have to get righteous again and again. We received Jesus righteousness as a gift and now we walk IN that newness of life. I was taught that 1 John 1:9 was for the Christian. But now I know it is to the one who is yet to be saved. When John uses the word "we" he uses it like most speakers do in a room full of different people. Speakers use the "editorial" we when they are speaking. That is how I see this verse now. Why? Because we do not get righteous again. We remain righteous because it is our standing IN Christ.

But that is another subject too. There have been some really good threads on 1 John 1:9 and I can site some posts in regards to this subject. But for now., I'm explaining when we read the book of 1 John., we have to do it with our righteousness in mind and how we have it and how we are kept righteous. Not by our good works but because it was a gift we received from Christ at the time of our salvation. Our standing is in Christ, not in our works or our confession of daily sins.

Hi TMS., Our works are done via the obedience of faith in the finished work of Christ. We once walked according to our old manner of living and we needed the law to show us right from wrong. Now Jesus has come and as you posted., we have a new law written upon our hearts., that is the law of Faith. The just shall live by faith. We walk in the obedience of faith. It's always now about walking in Spirit and in Truth via faith in the finished work and on behalf of Christ in us the hope of glory. We are also His ambassadors and we don't walk in our own righteousness but His.

It is no longer us but Christ living His life through us. He doesn't follow the law., He doesn't need the law., He fulfilled the law for us so we follow Him and count His works as ours. We look to His righteousness not about obtaining our own righteousness. This is the key to good success for the Christian life while we are still here on earth.

I've been learning how it must always be about Jesus. It's not about how much work we do or how much obedience in good works we do. Those things are not what pleases God. Many people do good works for God and they count for nothing in righteousness and purity. Why? Because the works they do are according to their abilities in themselves.

How do we allow the life of Christ to flow in and through us so that we don't fail? That is the real question that got me to re think this whole Christian walk i was in and failing at for many years. I had the willingness to do it but failed all the time.

Today by applying Jesus righteousness on my life., I am able to do according to the power that works in me and not by my own abilities. And it's a daily observation to learn how to see the difference. Its been a daily learning about who Jesus is and what He has done in salvation. How the standing in this resurrection life we have is NOT in our ability to stand in our own righteousness. We can only stand in Jesus righteousness and the power of His resurrection working out of our lives.

For me it was about being "estranged" from Christ. We can fall from grace by justifying ourselves in and by our obedience to the law and not the obedience of faith in Christ's finished work. Galatians 5:4

I don't want that kind of Christian life anymore where I lived by my wits and own abilities to obey and do well and then wonder why God was not leading me. I've since learned Jesus will be the answer for all the problems and the answer to all the questions for direction when I allow Him. He won't force me to step aside. Also, the Holy Spirit plays a major role in this whole journey of faith. He gives the joy of salvation and He gives the rivers of living water that Jesus told us about in John 7:38

We need that in filling to do the obedience of faith and to have true success in our Christian life. Without the fruit of the Spirit our works are just work and not fruit.

It is all about Christ and Christ in us, i agree, it is no longer us. But i can't agree with the law aspect (we have a new law written upon our hearts., that is the law of Faith). It is faith alone that saves but it has been the same standard of salvation for every person. That standard is perfection, one sin is enough to separate us from God, it was one sin in the day of Adam that caused to whole world to fall. Sin will not enter Heaven.
By faith we are seen as sinless, and if we believe this by faith we will we will act like. (thanks to Jesus in us). The law that explained sin in the beginning explains sin today.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Gal_2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

We can't attain to the law, it is too high for us, but do we just throw it away.

Php_3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Christ righteousness not ours.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

If you throw away the law that points out sin we have nothing to direct our path, and if you say Jesus is the path, Jesus perfectly kept the law.
Psa 119:97 MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

Jesus is our example. our salvation and everything.
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1Jn 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

This so-called faith in Jesus that releases us from obedience to God, is not faith, but presumption. James 2:17.

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
1Jn 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
"We look to His righteousness not about obtaining our own righteousness. This is the key to good success for the Christian life while we are still here on earth." I agree and love Him so much that i want to be like Him.
Faith and obedience can not be separated, or faith and works can't be separated.
It is 100% Jesus that saves us and we have no hope in our own actions but if it is true faith that loves God it will naturally change us into His image.

Ok, you believe our sins of the past, present, and future and forgiven and we obey Christ out of love. That faith produces fruit. Correct?

Now with Joseph Prince it seems he's trying to push perfectionism or he's trying to say sinning is not a problem, sinnng is a problem, because it's still wrong and we need to acknowledge that so we can do as Christ wants us to do.

You're right, but I'm not so sure about Joseph Prince.

Be sure to use discernment with those TBN preachers.

Destined To Reign Devotional by Pastor Joseph Prince
I have full, complete confidence in the power of Christ's blood to wash away any and every sin it comes in contact with. However it only applies to those who are in Christ, and only those who obey God are in Christ.

Not true. Salvation is by grace not by obedience. We are saved and sealed unto redemption in Christ by God through the Holy Spirit. We are obedient because we are saved not obedient to stay saved.

JP is an apostate. Everything he says is corrupted and serves him not God. He is teaching prosperity and not teaching a submission to Gods will.

Salvation is by grace (Christ's blood), correct! But God does not give it to everyone. He chooses to give it to those who are trying to obey Him. Our obedience does not earn it, He just chooses to give it to those who are obedient.

Hi Roger., I agree with the first part of your post 100% because the first part is Biblically sound., we are saved by Jesus "unto" good works., not because of them but because of Him. Eph.2:8-9

But the last part or your post is way off base because it's based on opinion and limited understanding of another Christian and not the reality. Just goes to show we humans don't know it all. We can be correct on one truth but miss another one altogether.

Hi OneFaith.,, How do you know if you have been obedient enough to please Him enough to choose you because you were obedient enough to get that salvation ? That is a slippery slope of leaning on your own sincerity and goodness for obedience and hoping in 'that' to get God to see you in a good light. Do you really see that as looking to Jesus instead of you? Only you can answer that.

Grace is not about us doing anything good or right. Grace gives the best to the worst of us. Those who don't deserve Jesus and need Him the most and come to that realization and go running to Him will find Him faithful and just to forgive them their sins and to cleanse them from alllll unrighteousness .

What you sound like you're saying is "we should go take a shower and get cleaned before we go to Jesus who can clean us." No., this is what really happens.... we go to Jesus and confess our sins., He then is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from alllll unrighteousness. And we receive it and have it forever because "He ever maketh intercession for the saints." AMEN!

A re-cap on part of the devotional shared;

The Bible tells us, “For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified”. Did you get that? You have not only been sanctified, that is, made holy, but by the same offering of His body, you have been perfected. You are both holy and perfect in God’s eyes!

He treats you like a righteous man because that is what He has made you. So expect good things to happen to you because blessings are on the head of the righteous! (Proverbs 10:6)

Jesus is our great High Priest who is unlike the OT Jewish high priests who could never sit down. Jesus sat down because the work is completely perfectly finished. Now we have faith in HIS finished work by faith and count it as our own because He gifted it to us. Just as the Jewish high priests went before God on behalf of the people, Jesus goes before His Father on behalf of all of us.

Back in those times if the sacrifices that the Jewish high priests offered were not perfect and if that Jewish priest had any sin or didn't do the ceremony right., that guy would be zapped even while in the sanctuary. They even had a rope around his ankle in case he got zapped so they could pull him out of the tabernacle.

Today we have a perfect High Priest who has NO sin and went before God in perfection offering the perfect holy sacrifice for us. And He forever makes intercession for us because He lives after the power of an endless life. He will carry the scars on His hands and feet and side forever as a testimony of what He did for us.

Only the obedient are granted grace. Some people say "Well that's earning it." But it's not. Nothing we can do can earn it. Let me give you an example...

I go to the bank and say "I washed my dishes and swept my floor, so please give me a penny toward the price of a mansion, and I will keep going back to my house to do things to earn more pennies." And they say "I'm sorry, that just does not earn anything, and even if it could, pennies are not even in the ballpark of enough for a mansion."

Was it effort? Yes. Did my efforts earn anything? No.

So I go back to the bank, and discover there is a whole group of people doing what I did. And another group shows up, who put forth no effort. Because they heard on the radio that a rich man was coming to this bank to give away a million dollars. When the rich man arrives, he has his assistant interview people. He asked one guy "Did you clean your house today." He said "No, that's woman's work, I just sit down and have my wife bring me a beer while she does that stuff." The assistant then gave him a black shirt. "Thanks man." he said.

After all the interviews, the rich man said for all those wearing white shirts to step to the right, and those wearing black shirts to step toward the left. Then he spoke to the white shirt crowd and said "All that I have I choose to share with each of you wearing a white shirt. They cheered, as the other crowd complained it wasn't fair. But the rich man said to them "My money, my choice, I can give it to whomever I choose- and I choose them."

In no way did they earn it, it was a gift.
