The woman with the hemorrhage of so many years, eighteen I believe, said to herself, "If I could touch just the hem of His garment, I will be healed."

Jesus Christ was born with pure white garments, given Him in heaven before He was born.

Our garments are filthy rages.

What? What does this mean?

Christ's deeds, His works, were perfect from before birth until His crucifixion. Ours, without God, are filthy rages.

If we but touch the hem of His garment we are healed. That is to say, if we but follow His example just a bit, we too are healed of our sin.

Imagine how wonderful were we all to touch His garment daily doing His works as best given us to do!

If we but touch the hem of His garment we are healed, amazing and true.

I love how people knew that even touching would heal them.. and the man who did not even require He come to His house to heal his son.. Faith that the Messiah could heal by His Word... Glory to Heavenly Father and our Lord Yahshua.

Thinking on this event brings to mind how it is written our blood is our life.

This poor woman was losing her life daily until she touched the hem of Christ's garment.

So we lose life daily without faith in the Blood of Christ. The Blood is His life, given to us.

Praise Jesus Christ, and may we always strive to do as He did, as best we are given to do.

God bless all who are in Jesus Christ, amen.

That is because Messiah is a Jew, and followed Torah... That is how they knew...

We of that other flock of the Good Shepherd are now joined with the Original Flock making us fellow heirs with them, making us also Israel.

Keep in mind the teachings of Yeshua, how He teaches us how to understand Torah in the light of mercy, faith and justice, for without those three Torah is a very hard master.

That is because Messiah is a Jew, and followed Torah... That is how they knew...

Do you realize how bad filthy rags are? Before pads and tampons it was said a woman was "on the rag." Because she had to use rags literally, and clean and reuse them. So I would imagine in the Bible days they had a place to keep them, and called them filthy rags.

A woman's menstrual period was so 'unclean' that husbands were ordered not to have relations with their wife during that time of the month. (Guys don't being going all 'ooooo gross' on me, we all have substances that come out of our bodies that are 'unclean' or containing germs).

Now imagine a bloody pile of those, before they are cleaned, compared to a pile of cloths used to wipe up Jesus's blood- like seen on "The Passion of the Christ" movie. But that's just a physical example. What He really means is His blood is pure and sinless, and ours is tainted with sin. And since the Bible says the life is in the blood, we had nothing but death and every vile thing in ours.

This is quite an illustation, but then how do we relate the filthy rags of a man...

this woman, Christ calls "daughter"

who else did He say that of?

and she was healed when she touched the hem of His garment - the hem that had tassels sewn on it with a blue cord, according to the command given in Numbers 15:38, after a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath. these tassels were to be sewn into the robes of every Israelite as a remembrance. what is being remembered?

compare what He said of the tassels on the robes of the Pharisees:

They do everything to be observed by others: They enlarge their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. They love the place of honor at banquets, the front seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by people.
(Matthew 23:6-7)

what is different about Christ's tassels and cord of blue?
that His healed?
why were the tassels of the Pharisees unable to heal?

immediately after this daughter was healed, Jesus went to the house of Jairus, the chief priest of the synagogue, whose daughter had died while this woman was reaching for the blue cord and tassel on the hem of His robe.
He touched her hand - the hand of an ((erstwhile)) corpse, which according to the Law should have defiled Him for 7 days ((Numbers 19:11))

was Christ defiled? ((Haggai 2:13))
by the woman He calls daughter? ((Leviticus 15:19))
by the dead body of the synagogue ruler's daughter?

the daughter of the ruler of the synagogue was raised from the dead.
the unclean ((Leviticus 15:25)) woman was healed.

why was the cord blue?
how did the woman know that if she "
could just touch the hem of His garment" she would be healed?

many were healed by the hem of His cloak! ((Matthew 14:36))
why?
how did they know to do this? the sick begged to be allowed to!
what does it mean?
what does the Law requiring the blue cord and the tassels mean, and why was did it carry so much power in the robe of the Son of God?

why didn't the tassels and the blue cord of the 'rich young ruler' ((Mark 10:17-31)) have power to heal diseases if the sick but touched it?
he kept the commandments!

or the hem of the garment of the Pharisees? they were great at keeping Torah! and their tassels were extra long!

lol

what was wrong with their tassels?
i wonder how fancy Jesus' were?

but it's not the length of the tassel, and it's not the strictness of the keeping of the Law, is it, that heals? because they sought to establish righteousness in themselves, and they "
did everything to be seen by others"
Jesus doesn't do what He does for the same reasons as they, i think :)
they didn't understand what it means, "
I desire mercy, not sacrifice" -- but Messiah knew this full well; He wrote it!

It is the same. Just because their blood does not flow out every month doesn't make a difference. Only Christ has pure blood both physically and spiritually. His blood was different than any other man or woman. When they pierced His side blood and water flowed. Now man may have sinned seconds later than woman, but their blood isn't any purer than women's.

amen

did you know that no blood passes between a child and its mother in the womb?

and through one man, sin entered the world. but The Seed Of The Woman is undefiled - born of a virgin, Son of God, the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world!
who is like Him in all the earth??

Oh my.. that is graphic...

Though we don't need the red tent we still have that issue while in the flesh.. but the High Priest can not be touched by any of our bodily issues like times of old..

You certainly took the sleep out of me this morning.

Maybe a bit of track, but I have a friend who had a picture/vision
about touching the hem of Jesus garment. She went on to write a song,
i can't remember it all but the first line was something like.

"Just to touch the hem of your garment Jesus, that's what we need".

It was a song about healing, cleansing etc.

Then in a few months later she got really ill, it started with a blood clot on the leg
which reached the lungs. Then she developed a very rare condition which usually only
effects children. I don't remember the name it was very long winded.

But basically her platelet levels kept falling so low that she kept bleeding. First she would
get larg bruises all over her body, then hemerrage and also even her finger nail beds would
bleed and nose bleeds.

It was a big problem as she was on waferin for the blood clots to keep the blood thin, but
the meds were making the bleeding worse.

It went on for several months, she needed regular platelet and whole blood transfusions.

At the time she wondered if the vision she had earlier was a prophetic warning and she often
sang that song over herself believing in healing. She got first hand experience of what the
woman in the bible must have felt like.

My friend felt trapped, she dare not go anywhere because of the bleeding, she was tired
and weak, she was desperate.

Then God healed her, it just stopped! The doctors had no idea why it started in the first
place and no idea why it just stopped!

The bible story is one of healing, faith, desperation enough to seek Jesus, cleansing, setting
free, being daring enough to approach the throne of grace. That Jesus is available
to ordinary people. :)

peter comes to mind on that, Peter at one point followed Jesus example insomuch that peter's own shadow could heal people, that's quite the leap from the boat.

acts 5:15
Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

I posted on walking on the water mentioning how when Peter went to walk on the water also, his faith dwindled for a moment, but Jesus took charge of him and pulled him up.

So just as Peter, if and when, more like when, we falter, Jesus is there to pull us up again, for He is our foundatioon, the soirce pf pir faotj-

Jesus is our all in all. God bless you..........j

I know....Imagine.....but touch the hem of his garment, just speak the word, remember me.........yet this same JESUS who is the God of heaven in flesh on earth cannot eternally save someone or keep them saved without human help or the works of men in the view of some........

SAVED to the UTTERMOST---->Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

You are so right and what is so sad Yeshua said she is a daughter of Abraham, telling all of them she could have been healed 18 years ago touching their tassels, but they missed it because they loved/followed oral torah instead of Torah.
