You know Jesus Christ walked on the water.

Do you believe His gospel?

If you say yes, you too walk on the water, as long as you do not lose faith and sink into the water.

The water or waters are humanity, the world, this age.

Believing Jesus Christ we walk on the water, and we will never sink unless we lose faith. Yet even if we do lost faith for a brief moment, Jesus is there to take our hand and lift us back. He may chide saying you of little faith, but that is only truth.

Pray for my faith and yours so we may continue in the way. When the waters are rough, we will ramain above it all. It seems the waters are already very disturbed....

God bless all in Jesus Christ, amen.

You know several times I have attempted to walk on water not for any particular reason I just wanted to see if I could, I didn't think about if I had enough faith to do it or not i just did it believing in his power and ability not my own. I didn't walk on water but I was glad that I at least had the faith to try and to try not relying on myself.
But now that you mention Peter walking on the water I was having a talk with God last night when I was trying to go sleep how if I could I would absolutely love to go through Peters trial and even imagined how I would do it.

I imagined me in this wooden boat and looking around in awe at the massive storm the loud thunder the bright and scary lightning the wind so strong that you can barely keep your eyes open the rain down pouring and the waves crashing and rocking the boat and I look ahead and can faintly see a man standing in the middle of the water with an open outreached hand. I have always told God that I don't need my physical eyes to see and I have always given the advice to look at Jesus in the midst of your harshest storm not the storm itself and so in my minds eye I imagined me closing my eyes and taking my step out of the boat. Imagining this with my eyes closed I just kept walking not opening my eyes lest i see the storm and become scared and the sounds of the storm and the crashing of waves would surely make me nervous or scared and so in this day dream of mine I just kept talking to Jesus in my thoughts to keep my focus on him and to keep me calm until I reached him.

Even now I truly wish I could do this I want to see if I can make it

What is the spiritual representation of walking on water? I see the waves and water as the ways and chaos of the world. I see Peter and Jesus ( before Peter sunk) as being together, giving Peter the experience of what it feels like to be transformed into the image of Christ. Romans 12:2.

A couple of things, first, you can't just start out walking on water, you have to first learn to sit on the water. Rookie mistake ;)

You know, you gotta learn to crawl before you walk. In Matthew 13, one can see where Jesus leaves the house and sat by the sea, and when the multitude approached him he went and sat on the sea, and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

The other thing is being bidden. In Matthew 14:28, And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And thus in Matthew 14:29, it is written "And he said, Come." While it is written that Peter walked to go to Jesus, the bid isn't 'come'. The avouched would say it was a rookie mistake.

While I have no reason to doubt that Peter walked on water since the longest journey begins with one step as written in 2 Kings 5:13. As far as myself, I really hadn't thought about trying to walk on water since if not bidded then the principle of buoyancy would sink me every time, but after seeing Him walk on water the entrance and departure kinda outshines the walking on water part.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:
for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
1 John 5:9

As far as this guy, pretty interesting except the first step gives it away.

The guy in the video seems to need just a little bit more faith...he can't quite get his feet all the way on top of the water.

What movie is this from? I mean besides bruce almighty this man doing this is in a movie or something right? And ya even though I had the faith I was not called to walk on water, it's great to have the faith the be able to do something but until the holy spirit leads you to do it you shouldn't do it

That might be due to the fact that only one is given the Spirit without measure, thus the scripture is fulfilled.

As far as I know he is a professional illusionist and it was probably videoed for a possible use on a television show.

As written in the scriptures, without faith it is impossible to please the LORD and thus, he greatly rejoices to find his children walking in truth.

If we ever have the need to actually be above the water...we will be. :)

I was lifted out of the water to my waist by ? I believe an angel. Was only about 7 and small for my age and I got caught in a river current that was taking me down stream. And I saw my Dad about to dive into the river...but I was lifted up and swam on top of the water to the edge and caught a branch. Then my dad was there to pull me out of the river.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a spiritual event.

i also thought it was interesting that Peter, who was no different than any of us, also walked on water.
