Depends. Of course the ones who believe its Israel in 1948 will have to make it longer and longer... My guess is they will cease teach this after 120 years.

You are equating the Rapture with the Second Coming. A common enough mistake, but which can lead to a lot of confusion.

That does not prove anything. The same word is used in 1 Thess 4:15, and that is definitely not about the second coming of Christ. Also the word erchomai is used in John 14:3. I do not think I will be alive in the body when the rapture happens. I will have lived out my years before then. As far as having to endure any Seal or Bowl Judgments before the rapture? Don't know.

Why don't you know? We all should know that all the judgments described in the book of Revelation are for the unbelieving, the ungodly, and the enemies of Christ. They express the wrath of God against sinners who have rejected God and Christ.

My bad, I should have said 'Seal or Trumpet Judgments', not 'Seal or Bowl Judgments'. I do not think there are any remaining gentile believers alive on earth during the Bowl Judgments.

The Latin raptura means sieze or snatch away

The Greek parousis means take up or snatch away.

Pretty similar if not identical.

I agree though that the rapture and second coming are separate events

I'm excited at the possible return of Jesus for His church "in" my life time. I'm one of those who believes that Jesus is coming for His Bride the church ,,,catching away called (rapture) before the tribulation. like it says in 1 Thess.4:13-18

It is a great comfort and excitement to read this and look forward to Jesus coming to get us in the clouds. To think of getting caught up together and given new bodies all in a quick moment. All the dead in Christ who died before will go first and wow what a fellowship what a joy and time of celebration and surprise and elation!!!!

Even all the joy we have ever experienced here in this life can't be compared to how we will feel when this occurs. Seeing Him face to face and finding out what was fully known on our behalf about us and Him. No more guess work! Wow! 1 Cor.13:12

This I do not know if it is backed up by a scholar so nothing new under the sun so in other word do not take my word for it (my personal belief) it will happen during the feast of trumpets. Y-shua's return. Riding on the clouds with the trumpet sound! All of the Spring feast fell right on cue with G-'ds appointed times, crucifixion, resurrection, Pentecost.

No the Jewish people as a whole will not be saying this.. I believe the Jews shall prodiminatly reject the Messiah Jesus till the end.. But 144,000 of their innocent little ones at the time of the return of Jesus will be saved by God to keep his promise to Abraham..

Truth is issued and backed up by Gods Holy Spirit... relying on human ""scholars" is like playing russian roulette with ones salvation.. In whom do we trust?

Ok. Just wondering how many people think we will either really be here for the rapture or Jacobs trouble/ the tribulation (I think that is what they call it post trib not sure…feel free to correct me… ) then the rapture?

Personally, I think this generation will see neither. No, I did not say if I was per or post trib. Is this just a fun topic or do you really believe you will be here for it either way?

Just to let you know I do not think any of us will see it either way...

The so called "great tribulation" of Mat 24 dealt with the events of 66-70 AD Israel and the destruction of Jerusalem as is clear from the context and as was understood by many of that day, including the Essenes Jews who wrote the Dead Sea scrolls.
