I actually am legally diagnosed with a high functioning form of autism.

Whether or not I really have this issue, I dunno.

Oh but, I totally think I have the "I think faster than I type" thing. I dunno if thats a real thing but I definitely often lose track of everything I was thinking about while typing a post, due to taking too long to type it out : p
I think one of the advantages of growing up in the 60s was no one ever heard of autism, once more did doctors know to diagnose it. My brother may be autistic, however, he learned to live within himself, so it doesn't really matter. I wouldn't be surprised to learn Bob Dylan is too, however, he either never bothered to find out, or he did, but never made it public.

If it's a problem that needs to be dealt with, it's good to know to learn how to figure out neurotypicals. (Which, so you know, I don't think anyone truly figures out anyone else anyway. lol) But most people just accept each others quirks, or not. And if they don't, then that too is good. One less person to try and figure out.

I function fine with aphasia. I'm fine. Everyone else gets stuck trying to figure out what I really meant to say (or spell) for that word. Their problem, not mine, until they ask.

So if you're not sure, but it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it. We've never met, but you're my kind of good-weird. I like you for the good in you and the little bit of off-typical that you are. (Typical is overrated. lol)

On the surprised side though -- wow you don't have CRS or Memory Dumps? That's the stuff that drives me nuts. (The fun part of aphasia is I know what I mean, so I remembered the word AND remembered it long enough to say or write it, so Yay for me! lol)

Well, I definitely have bad OCD. I may have some other things going on too, but I'm just gonna say OCD for now.
I find it helpful to know that everyone obsesses over something at some point in their lives, (and more than just once, and sometimes more things at once.) I'm not dismissing how frustrating OCD is. My dad has had it all his life. But just knowing obsession isn't strictly just-you seems to give me comfort for the things that feel like just-me. You're not alone.

You're a hoot, Depleted!

You forgot to add: "I've got every physiological, psychological, emotional, and social disorder, and disease, known to mankind! and, a few, they haven't even come up with names yet!" But? Given time, they may figure it out! Yet, Depleted? The people around Noah's time were prolly thinking the same thing, when he told 'em it was gonna rain!

I look at it as Gods' way to "keep the suckers guessin'!"

But did you fess up to John. Lol
Didn't have to, he was watching and chuckling through out. He's used to me. Until I met him, I thought the 5-second-rule was the 3-second rule.

(I bet a lot less people want to eat with us now. lol)

Actually, I have a very good grasp on reality- that's why I'm so stressed out. I would rather live in a fantasy mindframe- where there are no physical or spiritual dangers- like Isis, school shootings, having to be self-controlled because temptation leads to spiritual death, bills, relationships, and on and on. Oh to be like a child again without responsibility or concern. But... "When I was a child I thought like a child, but now that I'm grown I must put childish ways behind me." (bummer). Ignorance truly is bliss.

Straight jacket for having a typical brain? I think straight jackets would be more common than jeans. lol

Nope. This is where I draw the line. I get remember 1960s and 1970s songs, but 1980s? Nope! Don't get that at all. lol

(Looking around and realizing, I'm in a room?"
)
My room doesn't have any doors or windows..... Is this a problem or am I the problem?

What's this padding for?

Just keep tapping the padding because I can hear you in my padded room too. (And, for me, there might not be true hearing. Just me thinking I am hearing.)

Of course, this is tongue-in-cheek. It's what I'm good at.

But, I'm also serious. I have never met the person with the perfect brain. And, I've never met the person with "mental illness" who wants to boast about it because someone wants to know, "What's wrong with you? I got to know!"

So, this is my poll to see if I'm right. (I could be wrong. There are problems with my brain too.) I really do think everyone has something wrong with their mental abilities.

If I remember, (another problem with my brain, so no guarantee I will), I'll try to make it anonymous, but it's also multiple choice, so you aren't stuck with just choosing one of the problems. BUT, if you remember, (because why should I assume you'd remember, if I already can't assume it for myself
), only click the last choice if you have clicked nothing else.

But, please! Do feel free to answer, "What's wrong with you?" regarding mental problems. Or don't. That's okay too.

(Oh, and give me time to set up the poll before complaining I gave no poll. Just sayin'.)
Well, that would require first and foremost a mind and I'm afraid I lost mine quite some time ago.

I checked that my brain is perfect. Obviously, I'm mentally deficient or at least in denial. I used to take ginkgo biloba as a supplement to improve memory and mental awareness but then I forgot to take them.

What would a normal person think if they came upon this thread mocking those with genuine mental disabilities?

Fruit of the Spirit thing again.

A wise president once said. "And this too shall pass...". Of course, it is well known also that this man suffered from chronic depression so perhaps these words should be taken with a grain of salt. Not literally of course 'cause that would be insane.

What's the likelihood of a normal person coming upon this thread? Just kidding. :)
