What Blain said is right.
Think about how you get to know someone. You learn about them,
their likes and dislikes, you talk to them, spend time with them.
You invite them to spend time with you (you can do that with God!)
The other week in church I was feeling rather sad and even though the service
was uplifting and about what God has done for us, I couldn't shake off the sadness.
My aunt is in hosp and it's been a difficult month.
I was praying and saying "sorry God but I don't feel like counting my blessings today".
There was an empty seat on one side and during one hymn I felt that Jesus was
sat in that seat and He was saying "just hold hands with me".
I realise it sounds crazy! I dropped my hand to one side as if offering my hand out discreetly
and something happened, it was as if the sadness just lifted like something changed.
I can't explain it but something definately changed.
Jesus is real and present even if you can't see Him.
