Give it a time. Some sins are very strong habits or you can have some biological predispositions for some specific sins (like sexuality).

Do not be too worried if you are not perfect immediately. Just go forward, it can be small steps. But do not go back.

We are never going to be 100% perfect while in the flesh yet He can strengthen us to overcome a sinful lifestyle;

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]1 John/Yahanan 2:1-2, "My little children, I write these things to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father: Yahshua Messiah, the Righteous; and He is the sacrifice of atonement for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."[/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Psalm 119:9, “How would a young person cleanse his path? By living according to Your word.”[/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]John/Yahanan 15:5-16, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, produces much fruit; but without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and letting My words; abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it will be done for you. In this is My Father glorified: when you produce much fruit; and in this way you become My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you; continue in My love. If you keep My Commands, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's Commands, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be complete. This is My Command: Love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: that one would lay down his life on behalf of his brothers. You are My brothers, if you do whatever I command you."[/FONT]

Neither do I. I hope in His mercy all the time as I hope in Him alone to keep me from my sins. Just trust Him to do it.

Psalm 19:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.[SUP] 13 [/SUP]Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.[SUP]14 [/SUP]Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalm 33:[SUP]18 [/SUP]Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;[SUP] 19 [/SUP]To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.[SUP] 20 [/SUP]Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.[SUP] 21 [/SUP]For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.[SUP]22 [/SUP]Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

1 John 3:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Philippians 1:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:......[SUP]11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Psalm 37:[SUP]23 [/SUP]The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.[SUP] 24 [/SUP]Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

1 John 1:[SUP]9 [/SUP]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 Timothy 4:[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,[SUP]25 [/SUP]To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jesus does not want you to look at your sins to see how bad you are, but to look to Him and hope in Him for His mercy.

So hope in Him and rest in Him and all His promises to you. It is when saved believers stop asking Him for forgiveness and His help not to do it again is when it is scary as that saved believer needs others to pray for him or her for Jesus to help.

So the fact that you care about your relationship with the Lord and still going to Him for forgiveness and help not to do it again shows Him keeping you abiding in Him by your continually hoping in Him for His mercy and for help not to sin again.

Running that race is a daily walk with Him in laying aside every weight & sin until He brings us Home to live with Him forever.

Not all OCD compulsions are sin. Probably a good amount of them are not sins. I can think of a handful that I consider not to be sinful. It may help to get an outside opinion from someone who does not struggle with OCD as to whether a ritual is sinful or not. If you do this, ask only one person one time about it. Don't do what I have done that is asking repetitively if I sinned or not. And don't waste time trying to figure out if you sinned or not. I have also done that too. If you are taking longer than a minute dwelling on it, chances are, you are thinking too much about it. Whether the ritual is sinful or not, try not to beat yourself up about it. That is never helpful.

Exposure exercises may feel uncomfortable and sometimes sinful when they are not. Some people who feel like they have to greet everyone may feel wrong for not greeting most people. Not fighting off bad thoughts may feel like you are " giving in" to the thoughts or losing control.

One verse I like is from Psalm 139:

Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

The writer here is not desperately searching his heart for evil. He is inviting God to do that as well as lead him in the right way.

God has chosen to operate His work from the basis of faith. "The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:2) is God's prescribed order of victory for the Believer over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil. This means that the Believer must place and maintain proper Faith the size of a mustard seed exclusively in Christ and the Cross of Calvary, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus, where the victory was won so that His life would be lived through you. This gives the Holy Spirit the legal means to help and do what is needed to be done in the Believers life because the Believer is glorifying Christ, God's beloved Son in whom He is pleased. You are now operating in the spirit. No Believer can fix the flesh with the flesh. All fruits that are added to the leaves of the Believer most be done by the Holy Spirit or you enter the works of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21).

The Holy Spirit works strictly within the parameters of the "Finished Work" i.e., "The Cross of Christ", i.e., "The Blood of Jesus", which demands that our Faith be exclusively in the Cross of Christ. The reason is simple, that's were the price was paid, and the victory was forever won (Romans 6:1-14; 1 Cor. 2:2; Gal. 5; Gal. 6:14; Eph. 2:13-18; Col. 2:14-15).

For whatsoever is not of faith is sin. (Romans 14:23)

The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus gives the Believer victory over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil.

Victory over sin: Romans 8:2
Victory over the world: Galatians 6:14 ; 1 John 5:4
Victory over the flesh: Galatians 5:24
Victory over the Devil: Hebrews 2:14 ; Colossians 2:15

How does a Believer maintain Faith exclusively in Christ and the Cross? By just believing in Jesus (who He is) and what He accomplished at Calvary Cross where the victory was one. Romans 4:5 - Galatians 2:19-21 NKJV - 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 NKJV - Colossians 2:11-15 NKJV

Sanctification in your daily life is a process of growth and maturity.....with successes and failures......it is also a process of the transformation of the mind which also takes time.....let no one fool you....even the greatest men of the bible failed on occasion and sinned....any and all who at they are without sin are deceived with no truth in them!

Stop trying to not sin and start believing you are the righteousness of God in Christ. Henry Ford said "whether you think you can or you can not, you're right" but I prefer the way the bible puts it...

Proverbs 23:7 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

also remember this...

Proverbs 18:21
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

So instead of saying "I can't stop sinning" and speaking death say instead " Thank you God for making me righteous! My flesh may have won that skirmish but I believe you when you say that is no longer who I am!"

Speak life!!! And never forget Jesus loves you and is always with you!! His words not mine!!

Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The more you trust in God for your true identity the easier it will become to rest in Him. Praying for you!!

True...but when we get the revelation of operating out of the heavenly realms? We are more mindful of who and what we are.

Message of the Cross has a lot of truth...yet a religious hammer in his hand when he gives it. He will see one day as we keep our hammer of truth and love. :)
