Here is a page discussing this issue. It gives various possibilities due to the language it was written in. One suggested translation is "having a rope pass through the eye of a needle. It's a fun and educational page to read. Translating from one language to another is difficult and having a possible misspelling makes it even more difficult.

Had to laugh at OneFaith's description. But I think it is just a metaphor for something impossible, like saying, "It's as hard as making pigs fly".

Wealthy people might soon trust in their money more than the Lord to provide (a form of worship). It, therefore, becomes their security.
Not when you use a 5 gallon bucket of Tannerite surrounded by corn and a hot round to set it off when they come to eat...... :)

i like what James says about it:

James 5:1-6
[h=3]Warning to the Rich[/h]5 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. [SUP]5 [/SUP]You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. [SUP]6 [/SUP]You have condemned and murdered the righteous person. He does not resist you.
