What is true love according to the Creator of the Heavens and Earth? Yahshua/Jesus gave Himself so that those who seek YHWH may have mercy and reconciliation, He is our Shepherd, He tells us;

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

His 2 greatest Commandments are as follows;

Mat 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

So how do we;

1. love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

2. love your neighbor as yourself.

According to His word and His acceptance? Not what I think love is, or what you think love is, or what any man thinks love is, but what does He say love is? and how do we actually perform this?

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 Jn 1:7-11 ESV)

hmm... "Love your neighbor as yourself." i might do this, with His help, but...

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. (Jn 13:34)

... i need more help for that. :eek:

John/Yahanan 15:5-16, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, produces much fruit; but without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and letting My words; abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it will be done for you. In this is My Father glorified: when you produce much fruit; and in this way you become My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you; continue in My love. If you keep My Commands, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's Commands, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be complete. This is My Command: Love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: that one would lay down his life on behalf of his brothers. You are My brothers, if you do whatever I command you."

If we look at the way God loves, it is sacrificial.

When I truly love someone, I will put their needs before my own - making a sacrifice of "my rights".

Wonderful, such a true statement, praiseYah may Yah bless you with joy and peace continually!

Ecclesiastes 8:1, "Who is like a wise man? Who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man's wisdom lights up his face, and changes its hard appearance."

Daniyl 12:2-3, "And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake; some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the heavens; and those who turn many to righteousness, as the stars forever and ever."

1JOHN 4:17.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in The Day of Judgment:
because as He is, so are we in this world.

1JOHN 5:3.
For this is The Love of God, that we keep His Commandments: and His Commandments
are not grievous.

11JOHN 1:6.
And this is Love, that we walk after His Commandments. This is the Commandment,
That, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

Under law,the ten commandments were grievous but under Grace all the law and the prophets are summed up In one word,love and those of us that have been justified by GOD and spirits made perfect are members of the body of CHRIST and have received grace and keep the two commandments establishing the law.

when The Holy Spirit gives us Spiritual and emotional understanding of the PRICE HE PAID',
then we have been given a 'boarding pass', ALL ABOARD', after 'we surrender ALL'...

1 John 2:3-7, “And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Yah has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.”
