What does any day in particular have above any other day?
If someone commemorates a Tuesday in reverence to the Lord, it is them a Sabbath to that individual.
Common sense reasoning folks; not dogma like the Pharisees.
In the eyes of God the Sabbath is the 7th day of the week. Yes, any day is an acceptable day for reverence to the Lord but it does explicitly state in the fourth commandment to 'remember to keep holy the Sabbath'. I believe that it's that word 'remember' that is troubling to a lot of well-meaning Christians, including myself. It is hard to say that a commandment of the Lord is obsolete if He says to remember to keep a certain commandment. I hope that this addresses your question in a way that you can understand.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with Sabbath observance if you feel led to practice it!

There are several things very wrong with telling someone other than your own family that Sabbath worship is required of them; and if told to your own family, it should be made clear that the requirement is yours not God's.

so, do you care to state again how you do not say that one must keep the Sabbath to be saved? because this post makes it pretty clear that you think so. ( not true, Sabbath is not part of salvation ).
Maybe reread it. That is not what it says.

They can't recognize it because if they do they need to leave the SDA and they're hooked.

Hello MarcR, nice to see you again my friend,

It is on the Word of God we stand or fall. If you build your house on the sand great shall be the fall thereof. All have a duty of LOVE to share the Gospel. SIN is the transgression of God's LAW and it is SIN that will keep ALL who KNOWINGLY practice it out of God's Kingdom.

How can you fullfill your DUTY of LOVE to your brother or SISTER when you see your brother not FOLLOWING GOD and not WARN him. If you do not you have failed in your duty of LOVE to both GOD and MAN. Will not God require the blood of your neigbor from your hand because you fail to warn him?

Ezekiel 3
17,
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18, When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19, Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20, Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21, Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it. Only on the Word of God we stand or fall. If you build your house on the sand great shall be the fall thereof.

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

yeah, many are called. few are chosen. like those who attempt to earn salvation by keeping the law. like you. God calls you to believe in the Son. you and others reject this, instead choosing to try to earn salvation by keeping the law. talking about Jesus , and then saying that keeping a day that only Israel was given is part of believing in Him is double speak at it's finest. ( and just plain wrong ).
We are ONLY saved by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of OURSELVES it is a GIFT OF GOD and not of WORKS Lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8)

It's never been about following the law its always been about following Christ by faith through love alone. Faith that works by love is what fulfills God's Law in those that walk in His Spirit (Romans 13:8-10).

Obedience is only the fruit of faith and a sign that someone is genuinely following God's Word (Matthew 7:17-27). If you seek obedience without faith you will never attain it because this is the gift of God written on the heart (Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 2:16; Hebrews 8:10-12).

But if you believe God's Word, your faith will be counted for righteousness in God's eyes (Romans 1:17; Philippians 3:9). If your faith does not have the fruit of obedience (God's work in you) than you are still in your sins and have not seen him or known him and your faith is dead (Philippians 2:13; Hebrews 10:26-27; 1 John 2:2-4; 1 John 3:3-9).

What we are talking about is SIN and how SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's Kingdom. If you profess to have saving FAITH but your faith does NOT have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE to God's Word then your faith is DEAD and you are still in your SINS and do not KNOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE all as he first LOVED us. LOVE is the fulfilling of the LAW in those who walk by FAITH in God's Spirit. (James 2:18; 20; 26; Romans 13:8-10; 1 John 3:3-10; James 2:8-12; Matthew 7:13-20)

There are only two classes of people spoken about in God's Word. These are those that follow God by Faith through LOVE and those that do not. Those that do NOT BELIEVE have rejected His Word. Those that have NOT Heard the WORD are ignorant and God winks at. Those that have heard the Word however and have rejected God's Word are UNBELIEVERS and unless they repent and confess their SINS they WILL NOT Enter into God's Kingdom (Hebrews 10:26-27)

It is on the Word of God we stand or fall. IF you build your house on the sand great shall be the fall thereof.

ANOTHER cut and paste job.

The commandments were given to Israel. They are part of the Old Covenant.

NOWHERE in the New Testament was the fourth commandment urged as part of the New Covenant.

When Jesus gave His commandments He never included the fourth.

i ain't going gnostic on y'all by a long shot ((as some are no doubt accusing me already in their hearts)), but..

Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
(Galatians 3:2-3)

why does Paul directly correlate "
works of the Law" with "the flesh"
?

please think. the epistle to the Galatians is not just about circumcision.

You bought into the same sales pitch as the customer on my mail route.

If you wish to remain under the law, then that would be your perspective.
Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

For sin shall no longer be your master,
because you are not under the Law,
but under grace.

(Romans 6:14)

no more condemnation. we have already died, and our life is hid in Christ.

Paul must have not been able to make His mind up then?

So what standard will ALL be judged by?

Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

judgment seat” is word #G968 - béma: a step, raised place, by impl. A tribunal, Original Word: βῆμα, ατος, τό, Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter, Transliteration: béma, Phonetic Spelling: (bay'-ma), Short Definition: the space covered by a step of the foot, a tribunal, Definition: an elevated place ascended by steps, a throne, tribunal.

Some ever changing, wispy, undefinable standard?

John/Yahanan 5:46-47, "For had you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, for he wrote about Me*. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

*Mosheh wrote:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it"

"listen" is word #8085 -

John/Yahanan 7:16-17, "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching, whether it comes from YHWH, or whether I am speaking of My own authority."

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Hello dear friend, well that is not true at all. Closing your eyes and ears to the Word of God does not make it go away.

Here are the scritprues you must have missed..........

The 4th commandment in the NEW Testament

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament……….

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

God’s Law in the NC is written on our hearts it is through love and it is love the fulfils God’s Law in us as we walk not after the flesh but after the spirit and is why Jesus says f you love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15; John 15:10). If we knowingly break one of God’s commandments we commit sin (1 John 3:4). This includes the 7th Day Sabbath which Jesus made for us and commands us to keep as a holy day.

.......................

God's 10 commandments repeated in the New Testament

1 You shall have no other gods before Me.
It is written: You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve. (Luke 4:8; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 14:7)

2 You must not make for yourself a carved image, a likeness of anything in heaven, on earth, or under the sea.
God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24; Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 5:5; 1 Peter 4:3; 1 John 5:21; Revelation 2:14)

3 You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain.
(1 Timothy 6:1, James 2:7)

4 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
The Sabbath [seventh day] was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, so the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. (Mark 2:27-28, Hebrews 4; Matthew 12:8; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56(Mark 2:28; Matthew 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Ephesians 5:1-21; 1 Peter 2:20-22; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelations 1:10 Is binding on all mankind today COL 2:14-17 THE REAL TRUTH THREAD (Linked)

5 Honour your father and mother.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:19)

6 You shall not murder.
I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45; Matt. 5:21-26; Romans 13:9; 1 Timothy 1:9; 1 John 3:15; James 2:11; Matthew 19:18)

7 You shall not commit adultery.
I say to you whoever even looks at another in lust has already committed adultery in their heart. (Matthew 5:28, 1 Cor. 5:11, 1 Cor. 6:18, Galatians 5:19, Hebrews 13:4, James 2:11, Matthew 19:19, Romans 13:9)

8 You shall not steal.
Neither thieves, the greedy, or drunkards and robbers will inherit the Kingdom. (1 Corinthians 6:10, Romans 2:21, Mark 7:21, Ephesians 4:28, Romans 13:9, Matthew 19:18)

9 You shall not bear false witness.
For by your words, you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 15:19, Ephesians 4:25, Col. 3:9; Matthew 19:18, Romans 13:9)

10 You shall not covet your neighbours possessions.
Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist of the things he possesses. (Luke 12:15, Romans 7:7, Ephesians 5:3, 1 Tim. 6:10, Hebrews 13:5, Romans 13:9)

There is a lot of scriptures here and we have not even looked at all the scriptures in the NT on the 10 commandments on which the 4th commandment is one of the ten.

............................................

The purpose of God's LAW is to give us a knowledge of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS.

God's LAW (10 commandments) is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5). Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it ( Matt 5:17-20 ). The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs ( Rom 2:18-19 ). It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it ( Romans 7:7-14 Romans 7:22 ). The law is good if used properly ( 1 Tim 1:8 ), and is not opposed to the promises of God ( Gal 3:21 ). Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law ( Rom 3:31 ), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit ( Rom 8:4 ) through love ( Rom 13:10 ).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

Romans 2
12,
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law

............................................

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Who will you follow?

Paul must have not been able to make His mind up then?
How can you say such a thing if you understand what Paul is saying?

Romans 2 is telling us why we need a Savior, for all are guilty and worthy of condemnation before God. By Romans 6-8 that need is firmly established and he is explaining just how that salvation has been accomplished: through our immersion into Christ, His death and also His resurrection.

Ohh I see you cut out and ignored the rest of my post. Possbily my view were contained in the rest of it?

But if you isolate this and cut the rest out it makes it poossible to change what I was saying...

I agree we are all guilty and are in need of mercy from Yah, that does not change His Standard...

you mentioned John 7 22, 23. Jesus gave no command here to keep the Sabbath, he mentioned the Sabbath and circumcision to point out the pharisee's hypocrisy. if you keep reading, ( something you sad/Hebrew roots folks seem to have a hard time doing) Jesus says in v. 38, 39 that anyone who believes in Him shall have springs of flowing from their inner self. NOT Sabbath keeping, belief in Him.

this is why context is so important, and why you sda/Hebrew roots refuse to use it, it blows up your teaching. ( false, that is )

that is rich, coming from the cut and paste and leave out verse king. all you do is play a shell game to prop up your Hebrew roots junk. ( it keeps falling over, don't it?)
I guess one can not post Scripture without it being cut and paste? Is it only Scripture if I hand write it every time?

you mentioned John 7 22, 23.

( false, that is )
Yeah read:

John 7:22-24, "7:22, "“Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath."7:23, "“If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the Torah of Mosheh should not be broken, are you wroth with Me because I made a man entirely well on the Sabbath?"7:24, "“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”"

It is about doing Yah's will on the Sabbath

Mat 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

Isayah 58:11-14, "YHWH will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat; (strengthen), your bones. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And those of you will rebuild the old waste places; you will raise up the foundations of many generations; and you will be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In; If you turn away your foot from breaking the Sabbath: from doing your pleasure; your own business, your own pleasure, on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight; the holy day of YHWH honorable, and will honor Him by not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor engaging in idle conversation: Then you will find your joy in YHWH; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Yaaqob your father, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken it."

The pharisees did not do this.

Mat 15:3-9, “But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of YHWH because of your tradition? For YHWH has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated, is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of YHWH by your tradition."Hypocrites! Well did Isayah (29:13-14*) prophesy of you, saying: These people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

have you already partaken of the water: "have springs of flowing from their inner self."

I see something is flowing from your heart.

have you already partaken of the water: "have springs of flowing from their inner self."
Here I will show you, no, none have yet to partake from the flowing living waters:

John 7:37-39, “And on the last day, the great day of the festival, יהושע stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink. As the Scripture* said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water.. And this He said concerning the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive, for the Set-apart Spirit was not yet given, because יהושע was not yet esteemed.”

Revelation 22:16-17, “I, יהושע, have sent My messenger to witness to you these matters in the assemblies. I am the Root and the Offspring of Dawiḏ, the Bright and Morning Star. And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And he who hears, let him say, “Come!” And he who thirsts, come! And he who desires it, take the water of life without paying!”

Revelation 22:1-7, “And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of YHWH and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And no longer shall there be any curse, and the throne of YHWH and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. And they shall see His face, and His Name shall be upon their foreheads. And night shall be no more, and they shall have no need of a lamp or the light of the sun, because יהוה Most High shall give them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his YHWH and he shall be My son.”

John 4:10-14, “יהושע answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of יהוה, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me to drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” The woman said to Him, “Master, You have no vessel, and the well is deep. From where, then, do You have living water? Are You greater than our father Ya‛aqoḇ, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his sons, and his cattle?” יהושע answered and said to her, “Everyone drinking of this water shall thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water I give him shall certainly never thirst. And the water that I give him shall become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 7:37-39, “...As the Scripture* said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water..."

*Zechariah 14:7-9, “And it shall be one day which is known to יהוה, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light. And in that day it shall be that living waters flow from Yerushalayim, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea, in summer as well as in winter. And יהוהshall be Sovereign over all the earth. In that day there shall be one יהוה, and His Name one.”

Jeremiah 2:12-13, “Be amazed, O heavens, at this, and be frightened, be utterly dried up,” declares יהוה, “For My people have done two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew out for themselves cisterns, cracked cisterns, which do not hold water.”

Jeremiah 17:12-14, “An esteemed throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our set-apart place."17:13, "O יהוה, the expectation of Yisra’yl, all who forsake You are put to shame. “Those who depart from Me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken יהוה, the fountain of living waters. Heal me, O יהוה, so that I am healed. Save me, so that I am saved, for You are my praise.”

Psalm 36:8-12, “They are filled from the fatness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Draw out Your loving-commitment to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart. Let not the foot of pride come against me, And the hand of the wrong drive me away. There the workers of wickedness have fallen; They have been overthrown And have been unable to rise.”

Ohh I see you cut out and ignored the rest of my post. Possbily my view were contained in the rest of it?
well you implied Paul contradicted himself or was unsure of the gospel - and then quoted about a dozen verses written by John. what does John have to do with whether Paul is self-contradictory or confused within himself? do i need to go verse by verse through the whole scripture, if it's Romans you're taking issue with? so i wrote back to you about Romans.
the crux of your post was making it seem as though Romans 2 and Romans 6-8 are opposed to each other. they are of course not.

anyway here:

http://www.jrsbible.info/

that's the whole Bible in one link. should answer any further questions, lol
and now that i've put that link, if you respond without mentioning every verse in the whole Book i'll assume you're editing me to make me sound like i'm saying something else.
;)

As we both said we do nee a savior, however this does not change the standard by which the judge judges. The part you cut out of my post showed this, in hindsight I should have explained it, but in my view the Scripture does a better job. Also not quoting the whole Bible is not the same as removing part of someone's response, particularly when the part reoved shows the answer to the question posed.
