2 Chronicles 31:3

The contribution of the king from his own possessions was for the burnt offerings: the burnt offerings of morning and evening, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the appointed feasts, as it is written in the Law of the LORD.

Not one jot or tittle. The Law is all one Law.
Christ crucified is the only answer, the contribution of The King
If you read the OP you would understand what this is talking about and how it does not apply to us today. It is clear you have not read the OP here so with respect I would suggest have a quick read of the OP.

Do you know what the OLD Covenant is? What makes up the Old Covenant in your view?

If you do not understand the Old Covenant you will not understand what the NEW Covenant is and if you do not understand what the NEW Covenant is how will you understand the Gospel?

.............................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

If we brake any of God's commandments it is showing we do not LOVE God or our fellow man...

Thie is why Jesus says....... If you LOVE me keep my COMMANDMENTS (John 14:15;15:10)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Now that you have agreed with me do you now understand that LOVE in the New Covenant is God fulfilling his LAW in us to free us from SIN so that we are now free to LOVE and Follow him?

LoveGodForever,
re: "Romans 14 is in reference to the annual Jewish Festivals..."

I don't see how you get that from the context of the chapter.
Hi rstrats,

It is consistant with the rest of the writings of Paul (eg, Colossains 2; Ephesians 2; Galatains 4:10; Hebrews 9:9-15; 10:1-17). But this is not the purpose or focus of the chapter. The focus of the chapter is not to judge others in relation to food connected to days and to be a stumbling block to those who are weak in the faith. There is NO mention of any of God's commandments in the chapter including the 4th commandment (the 7th day Sabbath) that some try to use the scirptures for. There is however food connected to Holy days in Leviticus 23 in relation to offereings and also fasting (eating and not eating).

Let's hava a look....

Romans 14

1,
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. The first thing we see here is that this chapter is about relating to a weak brother.

2, For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

3, Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

4, Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Now to the meat and potatoes…

5, One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

6, He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Why is eating and fasting (not eating) connected to days here? Let’s see…...............

(6), He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Isaiah 58

is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?links to.....

Luke 18

11, The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12, I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

From Bullingers Companion Bible…........

Luke 18:12
Twice in the week. The law prescribed only one in the year (Lev_16:29. Num_29:7). By the time of Zec_8:19 there were four yearly fasts. In our Lord's day they were bi-weekly (Monday and Thursday), between Passover and Pentecost;
and between the Feast of Tabernacles and the Dedication.

Yes they fasted sometimes two days a week and also annually in the feasts of Lev 23.

7, For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

8,
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

9,
For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10, But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11, For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12, So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13, Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
14, I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean <ceremonially profaned, defiled or unholy> of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean<ceremonially profaned, defiled or unholy>, to him it is unclean.

15
, But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

(14) At the time meat and drink were offered to pagan idols. After it was offered it was sold in a meat market called the ‘Shambles’.

1Cor 10
25, Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

Shambles ; μάκελλον; makellon; mak'-el-lon Of Latin origin [macellum ]; a butcher's stall, meat market or provision shop: - shambles.

There were those who were weak in the faith (verse 1) who were offended by the thought of food being offered to idols. They somehow thought that eating that food was somehow connecting them with the idolatrous practices around them.

Some points to consider in Romans 14:1-15............

1. The chapter is talking about a number of related topics

2.
Overall it is talking about not juding those who are weak in the faith in relation to food connected to days or days dedicated to the Lord and that is all it is talking about.

3.
Food connected to days in usually in relation to the annual festivals or fasting connected to weekly or Holy days unto the Lord (Lev 16:29. Num 29:7; Issaiah 58:5; Luke 18:11-12).

4.
There is no mention of the Sabbath or God's 4th commandment in this chapter or the entire book of Romans.

5.
Romans 14 is not talking about ABOLISHING ANY DAYS but only talking about judging others in relation to food or fasting connected to days dedicated to the LORD and food offered to idols.

6. The Chapter is consistant with all the other writing of Paul in relation to the jewish annual holy days fulfilled in Christ (eg, Colossains 2; Ephesians 2; Galatains 4:10; Hebrews 9:9-15; 10:1-17).

7. Paul's topics is summarised in v17; For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

It is very clear from reading the scriptures that this whole Chapter has nothing whatsoever at all to do with the 4th commandment which is to keep Holy the 7th day Sabbath.

...........................

2 Chronicles 34:14

While they were bringing out the money that had been brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the LORD given through Moses. What does scripture call all the Law given through Moses? The Law of YHWH
Friend, if that was true why did God make the 10 commandments HIMSELF writing them on two tables of STONE, speak them to God's people himself and tell MOSES to keep his LAW separated from the book of MOSES in the Ark of the Covenant?

Why is it writen.......... ?

Deuteronomy 5
22,
These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

Seems to be a reason why God LAW (10 commandments) is separated from the Mosaic law written in the book don't you think?

At Sinai the people were afraid to hear God directly. They asked for a mediator.Who told Moses what to command them? If anyone thinks Moses made all this up himself that person is either calling scripture lies, or is simply ignorant of what it plainly says.
Well that is not true at all. God spoke ALL of HIS LAW (the 10 commandments) to his people directly without a mediator (Exodus 20:1-22).

Please read post # 2662 above (Linked) on Romans 14 answering your question.

Are you able to answer these questions....................

10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

17. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

18. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

19. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

20. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

21. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

22. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

23. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

If you cannot answer any of the above, who should we obey God or man? Something to seriously pray about my friend.

Hello friend, I have no theology accept the Word of God. It is on the Word of God we stand or fall. If you have nothing to share from God's Word accept to point all to the teachings and traditions of men over the Word of God then you are only building your House on sand and great shall be the fall of it.

As it is written.................

Let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged (Romans 3:4).

He that says he KNOWS him and does not keep His commandments is a LIAR and the TRUTH is not IN him (1 John 2:3-4).

Hope this helps.

"Every day alike is in relation to food and fasting and not judging others" There is no mention of any day being abolished and no reference to God's 4th commandment.
Do you understand now my friend?

Hope this help.......

The Bible is true, it records the good things people did and the bad things also. Think of King David for example.

We are the problem because we do not "rightly divide scripture."
I think these are Good points in that they are also good examples of Human nature and that these things are written for our admonition because they show us that even great men can make mistakes and SIN but what did these great men do when they sinned against God?

They sought God in repentance, confession and forgiveness and God forgave them for their sins and they were made right with God again. Sure there may have been some extra punishment because of their high office and responsibilities but they repented of their SINS and did seek God's forgiveness and God forgave them of their SINS. This is writtned for our admonition...

1John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous...

Here let me cut and paste from the post you said you read as it seems you must have missed it or did not understand it. I have highlighted certain sections in RED to make it easier for you.

(5-6), One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Isaiah 58
5, Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul?
is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?links to.....

Luke 18

11, The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12, I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

From Bullingers Companion Bible…........

Luke 18:12
Twice in the week. The law prescribed only one in the year (Lev_16:29. Num_29:7). By the time of Zec_8:19 there were four yearly fasts. In our Lord's day they were bi-weekly (Monday and Thursday), between Passover and Pentecost;
and between the Feast of Tabernacles and the Dedication.

Hi Brother Jackson,

Well that is NOT true. Romans 14 is talking about food eating or not eating (fasting) in connection to days dedicated to the Lord for fasting of food offererd to idols as shown above going through each scripture.

We looked at each scripture and NO SCRIPTURE even mentions God's Sabbath or the 4th commandment. It is only talking about juding others in relation to food and days dedicated to God. There is no mention of abolishing anything in the whole Chapter.

If you believe it is not true then please who me where Romans 14 is talking about God's 4th commandment when the Sabbath day is not even mentioned in the whole book of Romans?

If you cannot do you think you are building on the sand?

in this text Paul not say It is regarding the connextion between food and day.

If so the verse Will be If one Eat certain food oN certain day that fine, If one Eat AS every day alike that's fine

Man, you are RELENTLESS in pushing your beliefs. You keep repeating the same things over and over and over.

Are you able to answer these questions....................

1. That God's 4th commandments 7th day Sabbath has been abolished?
Maybe "abolished" is not the right word, but it is not necessary for Christians to keep the Sabbath as defined in the law of Moses.

Col 2:
16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]:
17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Rom 14:
5) One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

2. That Jesus is a Sabbath?
See Hebrews 4.

3. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?
4. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?
5. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?
6. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?
7. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?
8. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?
9. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?
10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?
11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?
All irrelevant. Christians can worship god any time they want to, the day(s) of the week do not matter.

12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?
The 7th day is God's Sabbath, but it is not necessary for Christians to observe it. See #1.

13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?
You're repeating yourself. See #1.

14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?
15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?
16. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?
All irrelevant. Sunday is no different from any other day of the week. And for Christians, neither is Saturday.

24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?
See #1.

25. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?
Irrelevant.

26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?
See #1.

27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?
Irrelevant.

If you cannot answer any of the above, who should we obey God or man? Something to seriously pray about my friend.
We should believe God when Paul wrote by revelation that it is not necessary for Christians to keep certain days, or allow others to judge us for not keeping certain days. He specifically mentions the Sabbath.

You need to learn what God through Christ accomplished for us on the day of Pentecost.

If you want to keep the Sabbath? Fine, you go right ahead and do so. But you are wrong to judge others for not doing so.

Judging by how committed you are to your cause, you will probably respond with another huge post repeating what you have said ~50 times in the last week or so. That's cool. This will be my only response to you.

Hope this helps. :)
