I will ask you again if you are willing to come to the NT for NEW learning from JESUS ?
Does HE teach about the 'letter of the old law or does He teach about a NEW understanding of grace, pardon, forgiveness, compassion, LOVE ?
Please also remember that 'All authority has been given JESUS in heaven and in earth....for HE must reign till He has put all enemies under his feet !!! 1Cor 15v25. Also please remember that I am NOT SDA and do not answer for LGF.
The reason I don't spend much time cooking on the Sabbath is because it takes up precious time spent with God on His Holy day...and I don't want to be DISobedient on purpose. I also don't kill violaters because that is not what JESUS teaches....HE tells us to be kind, patient, compassionate and teach TRUTH as required by scripture...the Word of GOD ! It has nothing to do with Moses or SDA - but what GOD wants !!!
Have I made myself a little clearer ?
I learn from NT and I believe every day alike

[h=1]Romans 14:5-12King James Version (KJV)[/h]5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

The Creator does not esteem every day alike, He set aside the 7th day at creation:

Genesis 2:1-3, “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. And in the seventh day the Mighty One completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And the Mighty One blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which the Mighty One in creating had made.”'

and also in the new heavens and new earth:

Isaiah 66:22-24, “יהוה. 22, For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith יהוה, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23, And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith יהוה. 24, And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

You believe Paul is saying the Sabbath is not valid? Then you must believe he disagrees with the Creator. I do not beleive Paul is talking about the Sabbath.

The Messiah says nothing will change, you must then be thinking Paul teaches differently then this if you make Paul to change the Sabbath:

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

For you see those against YHWH seek to change His law:

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

I learn from NT and I believe every day alike

Romans 14:5-12King James Version (KJV)

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
There is no scripture to say that 'every day is alike'.
What you are quoting from Rom 14, is Paul telling us what some people do....NOT that we should do likewise. WE are to follow HIM as he FOLLOWS CHRIST....that is his advice !!! 1 Cor 11v1.

GOD never said we can choose our own holy day...what YOU esteem is NOT more important than GOD ! When you are fully persuaded in your own mind that another day(s) are better than GOD's then you are showing God your own opinion of HIS choice...Zilch ! Is that what you want ...make YOURSELF God because YOU know better ??

If people would only realize just HOW LOW they have sunk in their own estimation ! Death can be the only result. Time to REPENT is running out fast - fast !

This is the same Hebrew word (owth) from Exodus 13:9, this time it is used speaking of a specific Law; the Sabbath and is called the sign/mark/evidence of consent. 14:7, "For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself."

14:8, "For whether we live, we live unto יהוה; and whether we die, we die unto יהוה: whether we live therefore, or die, we are יהוה's."

14:9, "For to this end the Messiah both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Sovereign both of the dead and living."

32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Why dont you kill adulterers?

Yahshua is judge He will judge when He returns:

Psalms 62:9-12, “Sons of Aḏam are but a breath, Sons of men are a lie; If weighed in the scales, They are altogether lighter than breath. Do not trust in oppression. And do not become vain in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them. The Mighty One has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That strength belongs to Yah. And loving-commitment is Yours, O יהוה; For You reward each one according to his work.”

John 5:28-30, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – those who have done* righteousness, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practiced* evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment. Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.”

*done” is word #G4160 ποιέω poieo (poi-ye'-ō) v., to make or do.
{in a very wide application, more or less direct; properly refers to a single act thus differing from G4238}, [apparently a prolonged form of an obsolete primary], Compare: G4238

*practiced” G4238 πράσσω prasso (pras'-sō) v., 1. to practice, i.e. perform repeatedly or habitually., 2. (by implication) to execute, accomplish, etc., 3. (specially) to collect (dues), fare (personally)., {differing from G4160, which properly refers to a single act}, [a primary verb], KJV: commit, deeds, do, exact, keep, require, use arts, Compare: G4160

Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

Matt 13:41-43, "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear."

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

How sad for you my friend how sad how sad. There is only life in the living Word.

If you have lost your word then you lose your life. If you have the Word and do not FOLLOW it then what use is the WORD you have lost your life.

It is the Word of LIFE to those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW the WORD of life. How sad how sad when those have the Words of life given to them but refuse the Word's of LIFE. How sad how sad.

If our eyes are not open we cannot see the Garden of Eden or the paradise of God. Sin closes our eyes and makes us blind but seeking Jesus can open the blind eyes to see and the deaf to hear.

The Word that is rejected will not go away and will return to remind us come judgement day what was freely given to give LIFE and what is rejected in choosing death.

............

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

i still haven't had an answer to my question either.

the great and learned Studyman has taught me that when Paul says "let no one judge you with regard to observing new moon festivals, feasts and sabbath days" what Paul actually means is "judge one another with regard to their failure to observe new moon festivals, feasts and sabbath days" -- and that the obvious problem with how poorly this interpretation actually fits the text is that "the Pharisees made up their own sacred days and that's what you shouldn't judge one another over"

the problem here is that there's not really any way to "make up your own new moon" -- there's one obvious new moon in the sky. God put it there. you can't say when the moon is 1/4 that "oh, this will be called new moon now, we made it up and you must observe it"

so the new moon. Rosh Chodesh. the scripture tells the Israelites to observe it.
reading through the thread, if i believe what is written, i am in danger of eternal hellfire and damnation if i don't observe the new moon. doesn't matter that Christ died for me, i'm condemned anyway unless i don't worship God on sundays, don't .. do something undefined ((because we threw out all the Law except Exodus 20, well most of Exodus 20 too, but not the SACRED TEN part just all the rest of it)) .. something still undefined i don't do on saturdays, keep the actual feasts ((not Chanukah)), and observe the new moon festival.

my question, unanswered for at least two new moons now, is what am i supposed to do to avoid death and hell on the new moon? obviously believing in the all-sufficient sacrifice and atonement of Christ's blood is not enough ((according to what this thread teaches))

will someone please tell me how to observe the new moon festival? it's not like i want to go to hell. previously i thought Christ was enough to save me, then i read this thread..

can no one help?
who will save me from this body of death?
Seems you have not read the OP. Why do you feel a need to keep a full moon?

the 10 commandments mention nothing about loving God and neighbor. those would be in the so-called "civil law / disregardable law / statutes / ordinances / additions by Moses not God" that we're being taught in this thread are what was actually nailed to the cross
There is no truth in this whatsoever my friend. It is only through LOVE that anyone can OBEY God's LAW through faith. LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW in those who BELIEVE. IF your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS and your tree will be cast down and thrown into the FIRE at the 2nd coming because the wages of SIN is death (James 2:18: 20:26: Matthew 7:13-23; Romans 6:23) Now lets look at the scriptures on LOVE and LAW.......

You cannot separate God’s Law of love from the 10 commandments because they are connected to each other. There is no need for confusion here. God’s Word makes it very clear.

Let's have a look................................................

What does Jesus say when he talk about the commandments. Jesus is quoting from Old testament scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18.

Matthew 22:26-40
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Let's get clearer.............................

Matthew 19
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal
life? And he said unto him, Why call thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER
INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID,THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU
SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Jesus showed him that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving riches more than God

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James..............

James 2
If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do
well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL. 11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S
LAW.

Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about
the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word.........

Romans 13
8,
Owe no man anything, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, T</span><b>HOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly
comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbor:
therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, God’s Law of Love is
God's 10 commandments. It is only through Faith that works by love that anyone can walk in the Spirit which produces the fruit of obedience because love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in those that walk by faith and not by sight.

.............

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day. God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly
break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not
following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

1st James is written to Jews. James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, """"to the twelve tribes""" which are scattered abroad, greeting.

2ndly, Who is Moses writing to in Exodus? Jews!

Sabbath Observance, Israel & Gentiles

On Mt Sinai at the 1st Pentecost, when Moses give's the Law. The Nation of Israel is born. This is a covenant between God & Israel.

Gentiles were never a part of this law covenant: Rom 2:14 (A) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law,

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore """the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath""", to observe the sabbath """throughout their generations""", for a perpetual covenant.

17 """It is a sign between me and the children of Israel""" for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
(NOTE: Sabbath abservance is between God & Israel. Gentiles NEVER had a law covenant w/God)

Nehemiah 9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant
(NOTE: These LAW statutes & commandments: were given to & BEGAN with Moses & Israel "NOT BEFORE" after the deliverence from Egypt. Read the verses piror to 13 & 14 for futher clarity)

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
(NOTE: The Sabbath commandment came after the deliverence from Egypt. And was given only to the Nation of Israel)

Conclusion:
Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. God's requirement for ""Israel"" to keep the Sabbath does not exist until after the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. And gentiles were never a part of this Law Covenant.
Righteousness, Justification, Faith & Law Keeping
Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
(NOTE: If righteousness comes thru law keeping, then Christ died in vain)

Galatians 2:16 A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(NOTE: People are justified = "Declared Righteousness by God Himself" Thru the FAITH of & in Christ. NOT thru law keeping)

Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
(NOTE: God declared Abraham Righteous thru/by his FAITH)

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
(No person is justified = "Declared Righteousness by God Himself" by law keeping. Justification comes thru Faith)

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
(NOTE: Gentiles enter into God's promise made to Abraham. By Faith placed in Christ's redemptive work)

17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
(NOTE: God made a "By Faith" PROMISE to Abraham, 430 years, before Moses give's the law to Israel. The law DOES NOT ANNUL God's earlier promise)

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
(NOTE: The law was to teach of & reveal sin. Leading to justification = "Declared Righteousness by God Himself". Which come by Faith placed in Christ's redemptive work)

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
(NOTE: Now that the laws price for sin (DEATH) has been paid by Christ. The old sin teacher (Mr. Law) is no longer needed/valid)

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
(NOTE: Everyone becomes a child of God, by Faith placed in Christ's redemptive work. Not thru law keeping)

Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
(NOTE: Now! Righteousness without law keeping is made manifest/revealed)

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(NOTE: Righteousness comes thru/by Faith placed in Christ's redemptive sin payment. NOT THRU/BY LAW KEEPING)

Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(NOTE: Christ's redemptive sin payment. Ends becoming righteous by law keeping)

JESUS CAME TO FULFIL THE LAW:
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
(NOTE: Anyone claiming the law has not been fulfilled. Claims Messiah failed at his mission)

WILL OF THE FATHER:
Matt 7:21 Jesus said; Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; """"but he that doeth the will of my Father"""" which is in heaven.

HOW WE DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER:
John 6:40 Jesus said; This is the will of him that sent me, that every one which """seeth the Son, and believeth on him""", may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
(NOTE: The will of the Father is: Place your Faith in the redemptive sin atoning sacrifice. Found in Christ's death (SINS PAYMENT) burial & resurrection (GODS RECEIPT PAYMENT RECEIVED)

Phil 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

2 Tim 1:9 Who hath saved us, & called us with an holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Ep 2:8-9
8 By grace" are ye saved through faith not of yourselves it is the gift of God
9 Not of works lest any man should boast

Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
(NOTE: Anyone seeking justification thru law keeping. Has fallen from GRACE)
