This post of yours does not in anyway address the post to which it was posted to.
Yep indeed, I have sent MarcR quite a few posts now with God's Word but he does not seem to want to address the posts or the scriptures in them.

Because it is not there. To assume or assert that it is to add to the Word of GOD.
It is there but the blind cannot see it nor can they understand.

Hebrews 4:2-10
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
[SUP]10[/SUP]For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Can't continue to work at your carnal understanding of the law in your carnal way if you have ceased from your works as God did from His.

Romans 7:14
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

I don't think all of us do know that the law is spiritual. Or not all of us know what spirituality is.

How is not cooking on Saturday spiritual?
How is not cleaning on Saturday spiritual?
How is going to church on Saturday instead of Sunday spiritual?

Well its not. Its just a carnal understanding of a spiritual law. If you can do it without the help of the Lord Jesus Christ then its carnal. Its a righteousness that is of the law and not True Righteousness that is given by God.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Coming to Christ and receiving Rest is spiritual. Producing fruit by abiding in Christ is spiritual.

If you REALLY want to keep the law then you must rest from your carnal understanding work at it. The only way to accomplish this is by coming to Christ and abiding in HIM.

That's why Paul says those that are of the work of the law are under the curse. Because the law is spiritual and the only way to keep it and fulfill it is by abiding in Christ and resting in what He has already done.

Galatians 3:10-12
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.[SUB][/SUB]

That is the Catholic preaching to be sure. He said He was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. But the Catholics in their zeal for the Venerable Day of the Sun, decided that Friday night, just before sundown, to Sunday morning while it was yet dark, which is 1.5 days at most, is 3 days and 3 nights. And because you listen to them and Not the God of the Bible, you don't know there were two Sabbaths in that week. First Day of Unleavened bread, and the weekly Sabbath.

But you have already rejected the most complete study I have ever seen, so I am most certainly wasting my breath.

If you placed Hiz on ignore, that explains a lot.

Nobody is attacking the Bible, just man made doctrines and traditions which transgress the Commandments of God.. The Sunday resurrection traditions is one of the greatest bastardization of Scriptures in all of Mainstream Christianity. I didn't know you were Catholic, this explains everything.

Like I said, it is much easier just to let some web site or religious franchise owner tell you what the Book says. The rest ain't so good though.
The problem with the concept of Friday to Sunday morning is they look at the Sabbath believe it meant Saturday. It was Passover week and too many people ignore that has 2 annual Sabbaths associated with it. The first and last day of the Passover week. He was crucified before the second Sabbath.

Hi PS,

Sorry I still do not see how your reasoning suggests in any way that God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holyday.

Jesus never broke God's Sabbath or he could not be our perfect sinless sacrifice. He came to teach and rebuke the Jewish traditions around the Sabbath that made it a burden. He taught that he was the Lord of the Sabbath (maker) and that mankind was not made for the Sabbath but the Sabbath was made for mankind and it was lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

Now how you interpret from what you posted above that the scriptures say God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day is still a puzzle to me as it is not saying this at all. Sorry PS just being honest.
The Lord's day remains as long as the Lord reigns, which is forever. I suppose the day you keep depends on your faith, but without Christ's death and resurrection, this would never happen. You must have a different faith from me.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its saviour. (John 3:16-17)

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die; and those who live and believe in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25)

This is why I and millions of others remember and celebrate Christ's death and resurrection on Sunday. There is nothing to remember or celebrate on a Saturday. It is a dead day. I cannot think what people might do in synagogue or church on a Saturday. Perhaps this is why my daughter's church is a converted synagogue.

COLOSSIANS 2:14-17 PART 1/2 THE REAL TRUTH

To be continued...................
COLOSSIANS 2:14-17 PART 2/2 THE REAL TRUTH

MATTHEW 5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. [18] For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Jesus did not come to change or destroy the God's Law (10 commandments). The Sabbath is still to be kept. He came to fulfill what was written of Him in the books of the law.
So if I do not go to Church on the Sabbath am I saved?

I agree. People have been "TAUGHT" a falsehood regarding that week for centuries. Thursday was a Sabbath and Saturday was a Sabbath. And after the weekly Sabbath, just after sundown, "while it was yet dark" Mary got to the grave and He was already gone.

But consider the implications here. An entire industry, and world wide religious tradition taught for centuries by the "universal Church of Christ" and continued by every one of her daughters, is based on a lie. From the Pope all the way down to the priests, preachers and Sunday school teachers in every Baptist, AOG, Lutheran, Pentecostal and the REST teach this lie to this day.

How is this not the "Broad Path"? How is this not: Matt. 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

What Spirit would promote such a wide scale deception?

How is this any different than those of Christ's Time who listened to Jesus expose the Mainstream Preachers of His time and their religious traditions and doctrines as "Commandments of men" and not from God? They had followed one way for centuries and here this nobody Carpenter came along and using God's Word exposes their religion as man made. I know from personal experience that it is the natural reaction to defend the tradition over the Word. I think the Bible shows this truth as well. It's a hard choice to be sure. But when you think about it, probably no more difficult that Abraham leaving his fathers religion.

At any rate, for these reason and more I stay away from the whole kit and caboodle. And my understanding of the Word is different from most. Not that this means anything, it's just a honest reality I must deal with.

Anyway. Food for thought.

here is some dessert- in Matthew's Gospel, many translations ( including the Jewish Bible ) use the word " dawn " in the 28th chapter. so, since jewish days went from twilight till twilight, it would have still been what we would call morning , the first day of the week, as the women went to the tomb after the Sabbath.

got anymore conspiracy theories you want to push? flat earth, the secret zionest cabal that is behind all terrorist attacks ? anything.

Where does is day in God's Word that God's 4th Commandment (Sabbath) has been abolished and we are now Commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

Or are is the answer to the above questions is that Sunday Worship a man made traditions handed down by the Roman Catholic Church that breaks the Commandments of God?

Can't continue to work at your carnal understanding of the law in your carnal way if you have ceased from your works as God did from His.
"As is" in verse 10 is a direct comparison. There is only one recorded instance of God ceasing from work and that is recorded in Genesis.
He rested from HIS physical work on the Seventh Day so we rest from our physical work on the Seventh Day. To say that it is any other is conjecture. It is not wise to add what is not there.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Any sin not confessed (assented to) and repented (turned from) will keep you out of heaven.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (lawlessness).

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

He that overcometh (through Christ) shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
(Mat 7:21-23;Heb 10:26-29; Rev 21:7-8 KJV)

PS,
re: "This is why I and millions of others remember and celebrate Christ's death and resurrection on Sunday."

Just it's understood that while the remembrance of the Messiah's death is scriptural, nothing is said with regard to the observance of His resurrection.

So if I do not go to Church on the Sabbath am I saved?
Hi Johnny,

Nice to meet you and welcome here my friend.

We are ONLY SAVED by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of OURSELVES, it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS lest ANYMAN should boast (Eph 2:8)

HOWEVER, If your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son. SIN which is breaking God's LAW (Romans 7:7; 3:20; James 2:8-11; 1 John 3:4) will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM (Hebrews 10:26-27; Romans 6:23)

If your tree has no FRUIT it will be cast down and thrown into the FIRE come judgement day (Matthew 7:12-23). Now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth NOT forth good fruit is CUT down, and cast into the fire (Matthew 3:10).

KNOWN SIN will keep all you practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

.........................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Here is Paul talking about his sin nature. How do you relate this to your post.

Romans 7 NIV

14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

I do not have any problem with this post except for the lies promoted at the end of your post which is NOT scripture which I highlighted in RED.

Please my friend provide one post or reference that anyone here has been promoting works for salvation? If you cannot you are only bearing false witness and showing what fruit you have.

We have ONLY ever promoted here that we are ONLY SAVED by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of OURSELVES, it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS lest ANYMAN should boast (Eph 2:8)
