Our sins are covered by private prayer. Christians are forbidden to eat any meat that was killed as part of a religious ritual. That would include the traditional Passover meal as well. I'm pretty sure God has seen all blood sacrifice since the cross as being equal to this verse.

Isa:66:3:
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man;
he that sacrificeth a lamb,
as if he cut off a dog's neck;
he that offereth an oblation,
as if he offered swine's blood;
he that burneth incense,
as if he blessed an idol.
Yea,
they have chosen their own ways,
and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

Technically the last supper was the evening before Passover started and it was only unleavened bread made from fresh barley flour and red wine. That is the tradition we are told to remember. I don't think Passover is even on the proper day this year as there should be a new moon between the equinox and the first full moon. That makes it a summer holyday rather than a winter one.

1Co:8:4:
As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols,
we know that an idol is nothing in the world,
and that there is none other God but one.

Quantum Physics would explain the Big Bang and as there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe which is still expanding you could say creation continues apace and is not yet finished, so 'Bang' goes your theory that the heavens and the earth were created in 144 hours. Jesus said "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" and in this regard, as well as elsewhere science and scripture are beginning to support each other. Presumably the work of Jesus hasn't finished and if that is the case, then neither has creation.

Quantum Physics is about atoms, waves, and electrons etc. while the development of life, plants, insects, trees and so on is another matter altogether and most certainly did not happen in a few hours.
Goodness PS, now at least all can see where your coming from. You do not have faith in God's Word. You choose the teachings and wisdom of men over the Word of God.

The Jews observe the Sabbath on Saturday. Christians in Honor of Jesus' Resurrection go to Church on Sunday. Anyone worshipping God in the Spirit and earnestly can do it on Any Day of the Week. Grace, remember. You just can't wrap you head around this can you?
Where does it say in the bible Jews observe the Sabbath on Saturday. Christians in Honor of Jesus' Resurrection go to Church on Sunday?

Who is a Jew or an Israelite in the NEW Covanant?

Why has God given us grace?

....................

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Round and round the argument goes. Where it stops nobody knows. Just like a carneval wheel.
Indeed, many are called but few are chosen. Who are these remanant that God has chosen?

Only God knows...

Revelation 14
12,
HERE IS THE PATIANCE OF THE SAINTS; here are they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND HAVE THE FAITH OF JESUS.

Seems like God KNOWS who his saints are. They keep ALL the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.

.................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

What are the commandments of Jesus? The 613 rules set out as the law in the Torah. What did Jesus say about the law?

Matthew 5:13 to 20 NIV
Jesus saying he came to fulfill the law and the prophets.

Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Hi Endo so you are supportive of God's Law now?

This post of yours is not an answer. The context of our dialog started with you stating that a day took millions of years. You base this on the fact that the Hebrew word for day can be figuratively understood to be an age. Outside of the fact that this is based on subjectivity; you have been shown that the days in Genesis are shown to have a beginning and end. Each day in the Creation week is described and confined to Evening and morning; dusk to dawn.

So in answer to this you start another topic altogether.

Since it has been proven conclusively to you that the days in Genesis are shown to have a beginning and end. Each day in the Creation week being described and confined to Evening and morning; dusk to dawn. Would you like to talk about the Big Bang theory now? Maybe how a gradual decline into disorder is the natural order of things. Maybe?

Just so you know, there is no need to keep special days. The Law has been fulfilled.
[h=3]Matthew 5:17[/h]“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

but to fulfill them.

from plérés
Definition
to make full, to complete
NASB Translation
accomplish (1), accomplished (1), amply supplied (1), approaching (1), complete (1), completed (3), completing (1), elapsed (1), fill (3), filled (16), fills (1), finished (1), fulfill (20), fulfilled (20), fully carry (1), fully come (1), fully preached (1), increasing (1), made complete (2), made full (5), make...full (1), make...complete (1), passed (2), supply (1).
yes, fulfilled

the law creates a debt
is the debt paid?

then the law is good for learning wisdom about God and his ways

but nothing else.

Seeing as God created the heavens and the earth, I believe every day is His day, and I worship him continually.

If you wish to reduce it to 24 hours, then I believe you are doing God a disservice.

Go to the main page of the bible discussion forum (or whatever forum)

in the upper left, there should be a button that says
start new thread

let me know if that doesn't work

Quite true.

However, the whole truth is that we are not commanded to keep any day. Neither the seventh day nor the first day is commanded. We are not commanded NOT to keep the seventh day either. If we believe that the [seventh day] Sabbath should be kept we are at liberty to keep it as our conscience directs. The important thing thing to realize is that neither our salvation nor our relationship with God (Father, Son, or Spirit) depends on keeping or not keeping the Sabbath.
