You see this is the problem with legalists. You seem to think I have a problem with being Faithful and Obedient? This is the mistake you make and all legalists.

I know the difference, that my faith and obedience are nothing. It is only in light of Christs faith and obedience (under the law, obeying its commands and dying to its curse and rising again), that my faith and obedience is accepted by God. It is all of grace. This could not be done under the law... it always pointed to the one who could fulfill all its demands. Christ Jesus!

It is not me keeping a set of rules and putting myself under the curse of the law that saves.. It is not my obedience that saves .. It is Christs.

So I have no problem obeying :) I am set free to do so in Christ. Under the law that is impossible. Legalism brings death!
It is not my obedience that saves .. It is Christs. "

Hebrews 5:9 "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

where in the world did this bizarre " Jesus obeyed the Mosaic Law so i dont have to obey" come from? there is no scripture that says anything like that. the cross is meant to make chrstians repent of thier disobedience through the heart. and the Gospel is meant to fill the Mind and heart with righteousness. what you do, will determoine your destiny. how do you simply ignore or disregard things so clear as this?

romans 2:Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6Who will render to every man according to his deeds:7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:8But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11For there is no respect of persons with God."

you seem convinced your deeds have no impact on salvation, this really is not hard to grasp. to those who seek for eternal Life in repenting and doing well, they will be rewarded, those who are contentious with that, and deny the truth, and obey unrighteousness they will receive wrath. this is not based on what Jesus did, its based on what those in the church do with what God has given us. its all about obeying Because Jesus suffered and died , we obey His word as if He is the Lord of all which He is.

its about whether or not we will believe and repent because of that belief and obey God because we do believe Him. will never change regarding Gods Word those who repent and follow Him will live, those who refuse will not. the cross didnt change God it is supposed to change a believer.

Jesus didnt come to say forget everything God said, He came to call us to remembrance of Gods Word, to call us to repentance of sin and obedience to God because it is eternal Life to repent and obey from faith, and faith will obey.

Now you know thats not true, I believe that we are to be obedient, and I am not a Legalist :)

It's like the old saying if the show fits! It is a very dangerous teaching.

Yes we know your favourite verses by now, you've cut and pasted them hundreds of times . Plus you dont even give them a context and worse still take them out of context.

It is all in light of who we are 'In Christ'. Not law keeping. The gospel my friend. Not legalism. It would be nice to hear you actually talk about Jesus and how he fulfilled the demands and curse of the law on our/your behalf, and how you could never be able to keep the commands on your own.

But alas every post is ...law law , ten commandments, commandments law, ten commandments (a mention of jesus somewhere commanding us to KEEP the law, and then tho and behold... another post full of scripture. keep the commandmends, law, ten commandments, Sabbath keeping and more commands,

You need to concentrate on the finished work of Christ and why that has set your free from bondage to works righteousness Hizikyah.
you throw accusations around freely stop, please stop.

Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Messiah Yahshua, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

1 John/Yahanan 2:6, "He who says he abides in Him, is himself also obligated to walk as He walked."

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.”

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matt 24:12-13, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”

Hebrews 10:36, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of Yah you may receive what is promised.”

Hebrews 3:14, “For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end.”

James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him."

Revelation 3:21, “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death."

please show verses that the Lords day is sunday today.
this is a man made tradation, not even in the bible.

only God can bless a day, and that was the Sabbath day, not sunday

In today’s professing Christian Western world, we hear a variety of “gospels”:
the “gospel of grace,” the “gospel of salvation,” the “social gospel.” Most of these
are messages about Christ. Others include the “science of mind” or “religious science.”

None of these is the gospel Jesus proclaimed!
The Father sent Jesus bearing a special message:
the good news of the comming Kingdom of God to earth.

Jesus sent the 12 apostles out to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God,
long before [they even knew] about his comming death or suffering.

OK so there are a short list of things in Acts 15, you do understand nobody had Mat, Mark, Luke, John and Paul's, Peter's, James, letters and Revelation were not Scripture at that time nor were they commonly circulated. It is clear that they are talknig about Gentile converts new to the faith...

also

"15:28, "For it seemed good to the Set-apart Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessities:"

So either thats it or there is more. If there is more then who decides what more there is? not you or me, but Yah.

Mat 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (Deut 6:5) This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

We cant break do not steal and be loving our neighbor. In the same manner tell me what Law can be broken and dstill be keeping the great 2?

and what does this verse mean:

21 states; “Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.”
I am not chasing a rabbit trail, can you please show where Acts 15 is talking about age, culture and entering a place of worship before we move on to other question.

Paul's writings were Scripture as Peter states "
And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."[FONT=&quot][/FONT]

Hi Lovegodforever,
Great energy there.. And it almost had a ring of authenticity.. that is until your legalism reared its ugly head. You see we are not saved nor kept saved by following the law. If we sin we are not under any condemnation like what the law brings. Christ bore that condemnation because we could not. It's all about the gospel Loveforgod. That is why Christ came, to free those in bondage to sin, and finally lead them from captivity so that in Him, we are counted righteous. Following laws can make no man righteous. Only those who reject God's gracious love in His Son stand guilty.. You need to get the gospel right Lovegodforever, It is all about Jesus and what He has done.
Legalism kills, Christ brings life and to the full!
Sup Phil? Cant respond to the scripture sand the questions in post # 55 ?

You say............

Hi Lovegodforever,Great energy there.. And it almost had a ring of authenticity.. that is until your legalism reared its ugly head.
What does legalism mean to you?

Could you please explain to me why you think
post # 55 is legalism?

Now if you cannot answer my posts does this mean that your accusations are not based on any fact but that you are only resorting to name calling because you cannot answer any of the posts provided to you with scripture?

If you cannot respond to any of the posts with scripture should you not consider that you could be building your foundation on sifting sand and if your building on sand should you not at least prayerfully consider the scriptures and posts being sent to you?

Jesus says; If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

My prayer for you and everyone else is that we carefully and prayerfully seek to know him who loves all and is calling all who have ears to hear. God's sheep hear his voice.

Who should we believe God or man? The word of God or the teachings and traditions of man that break the commandments of God?

May God bless you all as you seek him through his Word.

English Bible (England) The Seventh Day, The Sabbath

-

can you tell us how all these languages have the 7th day as [Sabbath] ?

this could not have happened if there was no flood and no tower of Babel.
this should prove the Sabbath day was known back then. The languages
of the people changed, but they all took with them the 7th day rest [Sabbath]

Also there is NO natural weekly cycle in nature that man can follow, or from the stars.
It is from creation week, when God placed his presence in it making it holy and known.

There is no bible verse from gen. to rev. that does away with the Sabbath day.

-

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,
and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath
to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

Really not sure how people say the sabbath was done away,
when verses show in the start [and] the end time Sabbath observence.

1 Chronicles 16:17 (KJV)
And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law,
and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

Psalms 105:10 (KJV)
And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law,
and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

Psalms 78:5 (KJV)
For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known
to their children:

Isaiah 42:24 (KJV)
Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the Lord,
he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways,
neither were they obedient unto his law.

Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory,
and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God,
and the promises;

-

We read in the new testement

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:

but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great
in the kingdom of heaven.

Care to explain what this verse above mean ? this verse follows where Jesus said
the law was not going away any time soon in bold red letters.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass,
one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

I have been told American Indians called Him the Great White Spirit, and must make His "ceremony".
Being an Aussie, I know Australian Aborigines must go "walkabout", to become a man, and enter the "new country" (Spirit kingdom).
And I made my first sabbaths by "finding my power spot" as Don Juan instructed to Carlos Castenada, in the Teachings of Don Juan, long before God did draw me to the Bible.

For me, finding the power spot is equivalent to finding the place where God baptizes me in His Spirit,
as He commands in Deuteronomy 12.
This, for me, is the purpose of the sabbath, to follow the Holy Ghost to that place.

When ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God gives you to inherit,
and when He gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
Then there shall be a place
which the LORD your God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there;
there shall ye bring all that I command you;
your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices,
your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand,
and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God,
ye, and your sons, and your daughters,
and your menservants, and your maidservants,
and the Levite that is within your gates;
forasmuch as He has no part nor inheritance with you.

Deuteronomy 12:10-12

In Christianity, it is called penance, isn't it?

COL. 2 [16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or
in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the NEW MOON, or of the SABBATH DAY(S)
Leviticus 23: “These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations,
which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

The 14th day is the Passover. It is the first of God’s festivals.

In the fourteenth day of the first month[Nisan] at even is the Lord’s passover”
(ver 4-5). Notice first that this is God’s Passover—not the Jews’—and the day
it is to be kept is the 14th, not the 15th.

God passed over the houses that had the blood of the lamb on their doorpost.
God also passes over (forgives) our sins when we repent of them and come
under the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Passover, sacrificed for us.

Christ Instructed Keeping Passover on the 14th

1 Corinthians 11:23. “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered
unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread.”

Paul and God’s people at that time were to eat [the bread and drink the wine].
When? On “the same night in which he Christ was [betrayed]” (verse 23):
the beginning part, the evening of the 14th.

Christ instructed the Apostle Paul about the symbols that had been changed on that last
Passover before His crucifixion (Matthew 26:26-30; Luke 22:15-20). Paul explained to
the Corinthians that Christ was now our Passover.

Notice 1 Corinthians 5:7: “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may
be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.”

“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said,

Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same
manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood:
this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me” (verses 24-25).

There can be no doubt that what Paul is talking about is the Passover Christ kept with His disciples.
Paul instructed God’s Church to keep the Passover at the same time and the same way that Christ
kept it. It was to be kept in remembrance of Christ.

Now notice the next verse which makes it very plain. “For as often as ye eat this bread,
and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come” (verse 26).

The night Christ was betrayed, which He plainly called the Passover, they ate the bread and drank
the wine for what? To “show the Lord’s death till he come”! Paul’s group followed that example
precisely. In the New Testament, Christ changed the symbols, not the day.

so when we read

Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK,
or in respect of an HOLYDAY

We where commanded to eat the bread [MEAT] and drink the wine [DRINK]
The Passover only pictures the death of Christ for the remission of sins
that are past (Romans 3:25). Passover a Holy Convocation{ Holiday}

-

In the 15th day is the feast.

“And in the first day [of the seven, 15th of Abib] there shall be an holy convocation, and in
the seventh day [21st of Abib] there shall be an holy convocation to you.

And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread;for in this selfsame day [the 15th Abib] have
I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day [the 15th,
not the 14th] in your generations by an ordinance for ever”(verses 16-17).

This day is a memorial, not a shadow of the cross. A memorial of deliverance
from Egypt, which pictures to us deliverance from sin!

Observe that the Days of Unleavened Bread are a period, having two high-day sabbaths.
And this period is established forever— given while the Israelites were still in Egypt.

—before one word of the ceremonial law of Moses had been given or written
before God even proposed the Old Covenant! What the law of Moses or the
Old Covenant did not bring or institute, they cannot take away!

Exodus 13:3 “And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye
came out from Egypt.” This was the 15th of Abib. Verses 6, 8-10:

“Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be
a feast to the [Eternal memorial)—“And it shall be for a sign”—that is, having
also a future meaning—“unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between
thine eyes”—having to do with both works and will—why?—

“that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth …. Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance ….”

Exodus 12:14-16 “And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to
the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread. And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation …”

What day is established as a memorial—not a shadow, a memorial—a feast—to be kept forever?
Notice, it is the day that is the feast—“[Y]e shall keep it a feast.”

It is the day that is the feast day—the 15th Abib, not the 14th—not the Passover!

A “convocation” is an assembly of the people where their presence is commanded, under power
and authority. A “holy convocation” is a religious assembly, for purposes of worship.

The weekly Sabbath is a holy convocation. So is Abib 15th. Our presence is commanded,
under God’s power and authority. The seven Days of Unleavened Bread following Passover
picture to us the complete putting away of sin, the keeping of the commandments—
after past sins are forgiven.

Notice especially, that originally there were no sacrifices— no meat and drink ordinances
held on these days. See Jeremiah 7:22-23. These days were not instituted for the purpose
of the sacrifices as some have wrongly supposed.

These holy days are memorials, and twice plainly called such. Where do we find such
plain language calling the Sabbath a memorial? (See also Leviticus 23:24.)

1 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice
and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

In Acts 20:6: “[W]e sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread ….”
Paul and companions plainly had observed the Days of Unleavened Bread at Philippi.

-

the NEW MOON

How does someone observe the new moon?
Christ commanded to keep passover and the days of unleavened bread.
The only way to do this is to follow Gods calender, not a man made one.

Psalms 104:19 (KJV)
He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

Jesus and the apostles followed God calender[the moon] to know when was the feasts.
Care to explain why man changed time, and now there following the sun movements?

In the soon future kingdom, God will once again go by [His calender] by force.
How else would they find out when the new year started.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one
sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague,
wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

OK so there are a short list of things in Acts 15, you do understand nobody had Mat, Mark, Luke, John and Paul's, Peter's, James, letters and Revelation were not Scripture at that time nor were they commonly circulated. It is clear that they are talkiNg about Gentile converts new to the faith...
While those Christians did not have the New Testament Scriptures, they had the living, breathing apostles in their midst. And while the instructions in Acts 15 were primarily for the Gentiles, the Holy Spirit -- who gave those instructions -- already saw the Church as one Body of believers -- both Jews and Gentiles -- without any distinctions whatsoever. That is the clear teaching of the New Testament. So these instructions were not only for Gentiles but for ALL CHRISTIANS.

Now you will notice in the epistles that when the apostles refer to the Law they never mention sabbath observance as being within the Law of Christ. If God the Holy Spirit did not mention sabbath observance in Acts 15, that is extremely significant, since the issue was which commandments from the Torah are applicable to Christians (not just Gentile Christians). There is no indication in the epistles that Hebrew Christians would have a different "agenda". In fact, Paul plainly said that circumcision availed nothing under the New Covenant.

So the reason that sabbath observance was not mentioned is because the Lord's Day would become the Christian sabbath -- for worship, for preaching the Gospel, for teaching the Word, for doing good works, and for rest from ordinary labor.

Not sure where in the bible you come up with the Lords day is sunday?

Lamentations 2:17
The Lord hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had
commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath
caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.

In the seventh chapter of the book of Daniel is an amazing prophecy picturing for 2,500
years into the future, from the day it was written, the course of the Gentile kingdoms.

Starting with the ancient Chaldean Empire of Nebuchadnezzar, this prophecy foretells
the successive [world rule] of the Persian Empire, Alexander’s Greco-Macedonian
kingdom with its four divisions, and finally, of the mighty Roman Empire.

Out of the original Roman Empire, symbolized by 10 “horns” growing out of the head
of a “beast,” are pictured the 10 resurrections of the Roman Empire that have continued
since its fall to the present, and are scheduled to continue until the coming of Christ.

Among these 10 kingdoms which have ruled in the Western world since the fall of Rome
to the present, appeared another “little horn,” whose “look was more stout than his fellows.”
In other words, another government, actually smaller, yet dominating over all the others.

Students of prophecy recognize this “little horn” as a great religious hierarchy. And in the
25th verse of this prophecy, it is stated that this hierarchy shall “think to change times and laws.”

How Time Was Changed

This same power is mentioned again in the 17th chapter of Revelation, here pictured
as ruling over the kings and kingdoms of the Earth, persecuting the true saints.

In every possible manner, this power has changed time!

God begins the days at sunset, but “the little horn” has changed it so the world now
begins the day in the middle of the night by a man-made watch.

God begins the week with the ending of the true Sabbath, the seventh day of the week,
but the world begins the working week in the middle of the night, the second day of the week.

God begins the months with the new moons, but this “little horn” has induced the world
to begin the months according to a clumsy man-made calendar of heathen origin.

are u saying ezekiel 45 will not happen?

what

it is happening.

what is the temple being described? the fountain that runs out of it? who is the prince? why is the east gate closed forever?

we're definitely not going to be able to better understand Colossians 2:14-17 better by associating it with Ezekiel 45:17 if we are way off on Ezekiel 40-48.

This, for me, is the purpose of the sabbath, to follow the Holy Ghost to that place.
if memory serves me right, Carlos later learned from the brujo that a particular spot was neither necessary nor meaningful - but that the idea was introduced as part of his schooling, just as all the plants he used became similarly 'Dumbo's feather' once they had served the purpose of opening his eyes to understanding.

You seem to think that 'sabbath-observance should have been 'especially mentioned - WHY ?
It was a GIVEN by God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, His handpicked Disciples...it was their FOUNDATION and basic BELIEF and anyone being CONVERTED from their pagan ungodly ways would have known they had to change !!! unless they were stubborn and rebellious and DISobedient....
which is exactly how the 'christian sabbath/sunday became THEIR worship day....NOT by GOD's instruction.
You seem to think that the new converts would have kept the 7th day Sabbath if they had been instructed to ? Well.....firstly the Sabbath was made FOR MAN - any and every man - never just for Jews nor called jewish as people do today who hate it.
Question is WHY do they separate themselves from it...in light of this scriptural knowledge and Christ their Saviors Example ???
Christianity today is a 'confused mess...all because they reject to follow their TRUE Savior ! Think about it please !

.
No it is not Happening now, why then are we told to pray Thy kingdom come

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

-

17At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and
all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem:
neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

So Like the above verse is today? not by a long shot

Thank you, posthuman.

Well, as I was testifying, I later learned that it is in the Bible too.
That there is a place, if I can find it, where God puts His name upon me.

And I do this by setting aside three days, and making my eye single for the Lord.

We will go three days' journey into the wilderness,
and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as He shall command us.

Exodus 8:27

After two days will He revive us:
in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

Hosea 6:2

I you don't mind, I offer up scriptures to show.
You're not to take my word for it.

And just to clarify, wilderness is nature.
I believe that is what we call wilderness nowadays.
Or, the bush, if you are an Aussie.

I hope the time is coming when you do worship the Father in His mountain.
Jesus blessings.
Paul

The bible also says in the future " all flesh " will worship Him.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from
one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh:
and the slain of the Lord shall be many.
