1. Show me this teaching in the New Testament

2. Tell me, what is the difference between meeting on Sunday morning (7th day) or on Saturday morning (6th day). You feel better? Or what exactly?
I see you have given scripture another twist...seems man has no problem contradicting God to His face ! Do you think it is smart to disobey your parent ?

Do you have any proof that Genesis was before Moses?

Its quite impossible to prove that it was before 900 BC and that it is at least as old as Moses.

(While scholars doubt Moses ever existed, but... yeah, its another story)
No I meant the events in Genesis/Bereshith happen well before Moses ever lived. I don;t think anyone can prove if the physical original author of Genesis was MOses or not. However IMO ist is a non factor because if one believes the word then it is of no consequence of if Moses wrote it or not. If Moses did write it but it is not accurate we have much bigger problems, it is my view that either the stories were hande down through the generations and Moses recorded them or that they were already recorded in some form and Moses or someone else copied them into the form we have today. I see much archelogical evidence that things in genesis are ineed fact, add that to the wonders Yah has worked in my life and I feel without a doubt the book is authentic to the truth.

So what I was saying is if the Creator set aside the 7th day at creation, literally on the 7th day, then the day after humankind was created. 6th day, the Sabbath 7th day, was in force.

Why Sunday:

1. Christ was ressurrected on Sunday. (J 20:1)

2. After the ressurrection, He appeared to apostles on Sunday. (J 20:19)

3. The second appearance to apostles was again on Sunday (J 20:26)

4. The descent of the Holy Spirit was on Sunday (Lv 23:16)

5. First public preaching was on Sunday (Acts 2:41)

6. First baptism was on Sunday (Acts 2:41)

7. The only mention about the Lord's Supper practice is on Sunday (Acts 20:7)

---

Sunday is so connected to important Christian events, that it would be silly if Church chose another day. But yes, it is not a command, you can meet on Saturday, if you wish.
As you say...CHURCH chose sunday by their own reasoning....which we are told not to do...it is actually BREAKING the Wprd of God, SCripture. Anyway...you carry on ...you have been reprimanded and refuse correction...your problem now !

but your reprimand means nothing. God has different ideas.

He clearly approved of Sunday worship (Acts 20.7)

Oh dear...another who is not reading all Paul had to say...'broken bread AND EATEN v11' ...it is foolish to answer before a matter has been stated ! do you think you worship GOD by having a meal ? didn't Yashua say' the Kgd of God is more than food and drink '?

You know what Sis Beta? What I can't understand is why anyone would think that Acts 20:7, which is talking about the disciples having a meal together because Paul was departing the next day, means no one need obey God's 4th commandment when it is never even mentioned?

The truth is however there is not one scripture in ALL of God's Word that says that the 4th commandment has now been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

This is why I have made the following my signature lately; :)

There is NO SCRIPTURE that says that God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now COMMANDED to keep Sunday as a HOLY day..................

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

let's take this very slowly....when Yahshua/Jesus appeared to people after the resurrection 'He WAS ALREADY RISEN...and Him ASCENDING to the Father is NOT the resurrection but presenting Himself as the Firstfruit. The resurrection and the ascention are two DIFFERENT events ! can you believe that ?

yes its personal. u always change the bible to some hebrew words. while its not saying that.
someone quoted romans 10:4 and u changed it to some other weird translation where it doesnt say what it does anymore.
are u a jew? yes,no? the answer is 99% surely no. so stop it. i love israel. i love the jewish people. and im tired of their promises being taken
The translation Hiz uses doesn’t differ from the KJV in substance. You refuse to acknowledge Gods Word in all translations.

It’s just that you have never heard to truth before so it is foreign to you.

It was the same for the Mainstream preachers of Christ’s time. They, like the church of today, transgress the Commandments of God by their own traditions. When Jesus showed up and opened their own Bible and showed them they were worshipping Him in vain, most couldn’t accept this either.

You should open you Bible and have an honest discussion, not about your church tradition, but what the Bible as a whole actually teaches.

It sure would send a weird message to tell people that we aren't under the law and we aren't righteous by the law and those that work at the law are under the curse and then turn around and tell CHRISTIANS that they must worship on saturdays because the law says so.

Are we all so foolish? Or is this just a pride thing?

I really think that the legalists and judaizers still have the vail over their mind and that is why they don't understand. I don't think it is possible to read the bible and come up with the conclusion that Christians are obligated to work at the 10 commandments otherwise.

how about the verse u named ur topic after

Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

seems to me it says sabbath days and dietary laws and new moons and all that stuff isnt mandatory for the christian.

have that seat.

Not only is worshipping God on sunday a tradition of men but
so is also the sunday resurrection....it is not according to scripture !
Yashua/Jesus was buried/entombed Before sundown on preparation day and rose 3 full days later again BEfore sundown on Sabbath according to His Own prediction...exact timing ! And THIS is the REAL Jesus according to scripture !!!

There's no question about the answer to this question if you rightly divide the word of God! This is why old law and new law...the New testament gospel verses the law...will always be an argument until the Lord God Almighty explains it to those that just can't grasp it...

Actually Studyman, this is a very good point you bring up. In many cases God understands that mainstream Christianity of today just like in the days of Jesus were being steeped in man made traditions that were taught to the people by mainstream preachers of the day in place of God's Word. This resulted in leading people AWAY from God's Word to break the commandments of God.

The message for today is that God is calling His people back to follow Him according to HIS WORD

Only those that follow him in Spirit and in Truth are following God because they KNOW HIM (the WORD) and BELIEVE HIM (FAITH in the WORD). God is calling all out from following man made traditions BACK to the WORD OF GOD. Only here can we find life as we are to LIVE BY EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God..

John 8
30, As he spake these words, many believed on him.
31,Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33, They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say thou, Ye shall be made free?
34, Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.
35, And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever.
36, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

God knows that many are ignorantly trying to follow him based on what they have been taught by menand in times of ignorance God winks at but when a KNOWLEDGE of the TRUTH has come calls ALL men EVERYWHERE to REPENT and follow His truth (Acts 17: 30-31)

Many will not hear his voice (the WORD) and will choose to follow their traditions they have been taught over the Word of God.
My prayer for ALL is that we be like Peter and the Apostles who say; We ought to OBEY GOD rather then man (Acts 5:29)

THOSE WHO BELIEVE the Word of God are the true BELIEVERS. Those that do not follow the WORD of God are UNBELIEVERS. It is the UNBELIEVERS that WILL NOT enter into God's Kingdom.

This is very true ! ONLY GOD can open people's eyes and ears...but remember that is those who are humble and tremble at His Word...BELIEVE HIM ...against their own human understanding !!!
He will not hammer it into the rebellious minds and hearts ...that would be violating human free will to choose ! God has 'done chisseling on stone....NOW HIS slightest Word can be perceived by those who LOVE HIM !

Hello Grandpa

Your post only shows you do NOT know HIM who loves all as your name calling is NOT a fruit of the Spirit. Your post is in spite of many people telling you already that NO ONE is telling ANYONE that we or anyone else are saved by the WORKS of the LAW. All are saved by GRACE through FAITH it is a GIFT of GOD and not of WORKS lest any man should boast.

What we are talking about is SIN and how SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's Kingdom. If you profess to have saving FAITH but your faith does NOT have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE to God's Word then your faith is DEAD and you are still in your SINS and do not KNOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE all as he first LOVED us. LOVE is the fulfilling of the LAW in those who walk by FAITH in God's Spirit. (James 2:18; 20; 26; Romans 13:8-10; 1 John 3:3-10; James 2:8-12; Matthew 7:13-20)

There is NO SCRIPTURE that says that God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now COMMANDED to keep Sunday as a HOLY day..................

God has 'done chisseling on stone...
this is the problem right here. u guys are stuck thinking ur israelites in the old covenant.

2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2Co 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2Co 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
2Co 3:8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
2Co 3:9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

Hi Snoozy,

Your post above only shows you have not read the OP here. If you did you would see the 200+ scriptures that link OLD and NEW Testament showing the true meaning of the scriptures. If you believe that what your saying to be true then please reply to the OP with the 200+ scriptures that disagree with your interpretation. Seems like you or your friend have not been able to and we are still waiting many pages latter. Col 2 is talking about the Mosaic laws for remission of sin that were shadow laws pointing to Jesus. Please if you believe this NOT to be true, show us from scripture and address the OP here why you believe it is not true.

The fact is however there is NO SCRIPTURE that says that God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now COMMANDED to keep Sunday as a HOLY day..................
