The whole argument to which is his stance make no sense.

In his way of thinking adultery, killing, stealing, etc;etc must be ok now.

If one adheres to one of those commands one must stone those who don't according to his rational.
You are right...when people are DISobedient to the Word of God they can not move on to spiritual understanding and are stuck in old ways that keep them prisoners. Jesus has opened the prison gates but unbelief/disobedience stops them from walking out. It takes a lot of BELIEF/courage to walk away from your own reasoning and TRUST IN THE LORD (of the Sabbath).

why are you so fixated on 'congregation having to do the killing ?
That was the 613 Mosaic Laws.

in the NT ''people don't kill - GOD HIMSELF destroys evil and wickedness PERMANENTLY !
It is the same God in both the Old and New Testaments. The law of Moses was the Jewish secular law. The law of the land.

It is the same in America, the Ten Commandments are there for all to see, these are GOD'S commandments, but there are hundreds of people on death row waiting to be executed, because AMERICAN LAW demands the death sentence.

in Exodus 20 the word is do not 'murder'
not the same word here in ch. 35 & elsewhere, 'put to death'

instead of presuming the LORD is evil ((death exists apart from this law; do you condemn God also when an animal or plant is killed so you can eat?)), i think you should assume God is good, and that God saves and preserves His people, and ask why He commanded death penalty?

who is He saving, who is He preserving?
what is the evil He is protecting His people from by commanding that they put to death the person who does this thing?
why is this so dangerous that they must die?

don't think, 'i don't understand this, so Moses must have been deceived but i see clearly'
think, 'God is good - there must be a good reason for this; what is it?'
I condemn those who do the killing, regardless of whether their god is Yahweh or Allah.

your mother did not cut off your hands and throw you in prison when you took a cookie from the jar before dinner.
that doesn't mean it was good or okay to spoil your appetite.
you were not put to death for tracking mud into the kitchen because you didn't clean your shoes.
that doesn't mean it was fine to disrespect the house.
no one demanded you pay a fine when you neglected to make your bed and fold your clothes, or put away your dishes.
that doesn't make it good to leave a mess.

it means you are a son, not a slave or a stranger. that you are treated with grace, not stern indifference and merciless judgement.

even my cats understand this - i don't shoot them as though they are wild beasts if they scratch me, but they don't have the impression that it'd be okay to attack me. they understand that they are welcomed into my family, and that being treated with kindness doesn't change bad behaviour from unacceptable into acceptable.

i found a dead bug.
is God evil?

someone attacks your family.
will you protect them?

what if God does the same?
you will condemn Him for it?

Ps 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.Ps 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Ps 5:6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
The Psalmist is praying to God, and is saying THOU (LORD) will destroy.

God loves the sinner, but not the sin.

Because God loves the sinner, you and me, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, this is why He came into the world, He will redeem those who come to Him in repentance and thencefore live according to His Word.

This makes the O.T. secular law obsolete.

Remember also, that to kill the sinner in his wickedness, which is what OT law does, is to condemn them to Hell.
God does love the sinner you and me....didn't He sacrifice His only begotten beloved Son for us ? but He CAN NOT save us in our sins....we MUST change.
The OT law shows us our sins BECAUSE we don't line up with them, because we don't keep them they bring death. If we were to start obey them they would reverse and bring NEW LIFE...with GOD's help !

We all know that...so what stops people turning and becoming obedient ? selfwill ! they can't let go of it! following a false christ will deceive them unto death.

if you catch a flu, because a living creature - a virus - is attacking your body, do you not take medicine to destroy that thing that is harming your body? so you kill. is it evil for you to protect and preserve your own life?

what if God is doing the same thing for His people?

in Numbers 15 a man is found gathering wood on the sabbath. who is this man?
what happened in Numbers 14? same page of your Bible! not unconnected.
why must he be put to death, and why do all the people have to take part?

You need to see what scripture says...not argue with people.
The reason we don't kill adulterers and sabbath violaters instantly as in the OT is because Jesus allows a period of GRACE/Pardon from death-sentence for us to learn NOT to sin anymore.... but if we continue in sin then the penalty of death will set in .....so when correctly understood the law is still in force, has not passed away...but DELAYED during GRACE.

condemnation that's put off for a few weeks isn't absolution. it's condemnation.

salvation that's nothing more than a death sentence scheduled later in the year isn't salvation at all.

Self defence is allowed in the face of an attacker.
is evil a threat to God's children?
is it okay if He protects them from harm?

Satan is a lion seeking to devour us. what if He slays the lion?

liberate te ex inferno??

He must change us.
our self will doesn't save us. our self will chooses evil, unless He remakes us.
we must be changed

So then it depends not on human will or exertion,
but on God, who has mercy.

The trouble is, Satan is the god of this world, we can see wickedness all around us, in the meantime God has provided a way of escape for all who believe and follow him in righteousness, until such time as Satan is destroyed.

If Satan is a lion, who is JUDAH?

If Satan is a lion who is Jesus? (Rev 5:5-6)

You appear confused.

I think that our period of Grace has lasted more than a few weeks so far...2000 years in all but at least a lifetime for every Believer. All our lives we are given opportunity to repent and change....that's pretty GENEROUS !

Satan is not just a threat to us, he has already done the damage of corrupting us....so even if God slays him now would not cure us....God also has to heal us from our mortal wounds.

Funny that a man who thinks his Bible is mostly lies would say that to me.. :p

He made the sea of reeds collapse and kill all the Egyptian army who were trying to murder His people. Was that good of Him or evil?

What if He did these things to protect us?
