Rightly dividing the word of truth (KJV; NKJV) "as I demonstrated above" is accurately handling the word of truth (NASB).
Hello MMD,

Now are you still digging that hole for yourself? How are you ever going to get out if you dig your hole too deep? How can you be saved by the Gospel if you do NOT KNOW what the GOSPEL is? How now can you preach the GOSPEL to others if you do NOT know what the Gospel is? If the blind lead the blind will not they both fall into your ditch and not be able to get out?

Not only have you had to expand your definition of the Gospels three times already now you have to do it again because you do not know what the Gospel is. Your definition of the Gospel has gone from A to B to C.....

This is because you still do not KNOW what the good news is. The GOOD NEWS is JESUS is the GOSPEL.

The Gospel is JESUS <Jesus means Savior; John 1:29> and JESUS is THE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6). THE WORD OF GOD is the GOSPEL BECAUSE BY FAITH IT IS OUR SAVIOR and this the IS GOOD NEWS to those who BELIEVE. (John 1:1-14; John 1:29; John 17:17; 14:6; Matthew 4:4)

Mark 1:1
The beginning of the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST; THE SON OF GOD <the WORD OF GOD; John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6>

This is the same Gospel we preach unto you. It is the EVERLASTING GOSPEL because HE is EVERLASTING. My friend put your shovel down REPENT and BELIEVE the GOSPEL (God's WOR D) for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND .

FEAR God and GIVE GLORY to HIM for the HOUR of GOD'S Judgemen t has come and worship HIM that MADE the HEAVENS and the EARTH and the waters and the fountains

This is the creator you are NOT REMEMBERING when he BIDS YOU REMEMBER The SABBATH DAY to KEEP it HOLY because HE is HOLY.

ALL praise and honor to HIM who loves us. The KINGDOM of GOD has come near you this day. Do you hear HIS Voice? It is the WORD of God, the EVERLASTING Gospel.

You do not know what the gospel is. Its not a literal Sabbath and Jewish Law.

Its a life in faith in Christ, the real sabbath in Him. Its being led by the Holy Spirit, not by the Old Testament. You are living in shadows, not in reality.

Hello trofimus,

How would you know what truth is if you do not read or believe God's Word for yourself?

God only gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey him (Acts 5:32). If you do not obey him you are not led by His Spirit.

Only those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's Word are His people and have His Spirit and they walk on water because He bids them come. Many are called but few are chosen. It is hard to kick against the pricks.

Amen! 2 Corinthians 3 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which BELIEVE NOT, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). To BELIEVE the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

The perverted gospel of SDA's and other misguided, modern day teachers of the law/shady lawyer types is no good news at all, but is a "different" gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). Christianity is about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (John 17:3) and not legalistic, religious bondage to a false religion or cult.

Now MMD,

Quoting yourself over God's Word does not make God's Word go away and somehow magically make what you are repeating come true.

How can you preach the Gospel when you do not know the Word of God and you do not know what the Gospel is?

You now feel the need to calling people names which is only a distraction because you can't address the scriptures in the posts addressed to you.

How sad for you. Maybe you can pray about it my friend and I will pray for you.

It amazes me that people think God supports this self righteous gospel. Of course we see examples of it, Saul thought he was doing Gods will killing christians, Until God exposed his sin (theat he did not even think he had)

Until the see God who is trying to expose their sin, They will be like saw and all the Pharisee who thought they were so righteous, and spent their days judging other people of their sin, while they refused to look at their own.

Hello ET,

Nice to see you here. What is a self righteous Gospel to you mean and how is it being preached here or are you just one of those name callers that have nothing to share from God's Word because you do not know the scriptures?

Do you have anything from the OP to share? Or is there something that you disagree with from the scriptures?

If you have nothing to say or share you should BELIEVE and FOLLOW the Word of God because only those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD are free to follow Him who loves all through Faith in His Spirit.

Those that DISOBEY God are still in their SINS and do not KNOW him who is calling them because they have chosen to close their ears.

Many are indeed called but few are chosen. Because wide is the gate and narrow is the way, many have lost or broken their mirror and cannot find their way.

It is hard to kick against the pricks ET.

Where did you get this idea? I read the Bible from when I was 10.

You must learn to distinguish between "not reading the Bible" and between "not accepting the Sabbatarians' view of the Bible".

John 4

21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

seem to me Jesus not concerning about where to worship but the genuinity

so I believe in the NT the focus is not where or when but the genuinity.

1 John 3:15English Standard Version (ESV)

15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

It doesn't matter you physically worship oN saturday or sunday If you hate your brother you kill him and killer has not have eternal life.

We are in NT now, our way of thinking must oN the NT time. Not physical appearent but spiritual appearent.

Now brother Jackson,

How you think the above post supports you breaking God's commandment it beyond me. Good luck trying to say that to God on the day of judgement.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten ( Exodus 20:8-11 ) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God ask s us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Hello ET,

Nice to see you here. What is a self righteous Gospel to you mean and how is it being preached here or are you just one of those name callers that have nothing to share from God's Word because you do not know the scriptures?

It is hard to kick against the pricks ET.
Seems to me you are a name caller, refusing to use the person's proper name and substituting something else.

Apologies if that was offensive to anyone I did not know even until just now, but it was an honest typo and not intentional therefore not name calling. It was late my time when it was posted. Most will know that is not my posting style to call people names.

Hello again,
For a part of the conversation about the Sabbath.
Have you ever heard
Of something along the lines of Good Sabbath.
If not,
It would be my pleasure to contributed more concerning the Holy Day.

Now as per your response a fews days back.
You answered kindly and I am grateful for the reply. After reading over a large amount of your post I was glad to find that your resolve rest firmly in faith.

I was wondering about all those accounts of miracles performed on the Sabbath.
From my perspective i believe the subject has been neglected.
Though that is probably because I have come to learn that Saturday is not the Sabbath, nor is Sunday....

They are nothing more than mere wandering stars.

Hello 7777pinicled,

Nice to see you and chat with you again. Your very welcome to share your thoughts on the good Sabbath. It is a discussion thread after all and all are welcome to share their thoughts in relation to the OP here. :)

Although I would have to disagree with you about Saturday being not the Sabbath (Friday evening to Saturday evening actually). It is God's word that says that it is and this is what the OP is talking about. None have been able to address the OP to show it is not true.

Could I suggest post # 1772 as a shorter and faster version of the OP for your consideration before your thoughts on the good Sabbath be considered? There are many more scriptures and posts relating to the OP showing that God's Sabbath is the 7th day of the week and it is still God's 4th commandments to His people but we can discuss these as they arise.

Anyhow your very welcome to share your thoughts of course and I look forward to hearing and discussing them with you

Mat God bless you as you seek Him through His Word

Thankful again for the kindness in your reply.
In part as you yourself have approached the subject of a certain Sabbath.
I believe you said something about the Sabbath that may of answered your op.
Though i will have to weigh until tomorrow to show you the pattern.

Below in quotations is of interest. Particularly where you left off yochanan(John 19;31 see also High..Holy Day..
"Now please pay attention to the Hebrew word used for the annual ceremonial festival SABBATH'S which uses a DIFFERENT Hebrew Word from God's 4th commandment above. This is not H7676 the ceremonial SABBATH Hebrew Word is H7677 and has a different meaning because it is NOT the same as God's 4th commandment......

Leviticus 23: 3; 24; 32 SABBATH and RESTED separate or together meaning H7677 שׁבּתון shabbâthôn shab-baw-thone' From H7676; a sabbatism or special holiday: - rest, sabbath.

So the base meaning of Sabbath from God's 4th commandment in the Hebrew is to rest from work (Gen) the commandment is every 7th day rest from work and THEN WE HAVE THE SPECIAL FESTIVAL SABBATH(S) <more than one different Hebrew meaning H7677> OF THE MOSAIC ANNUAL FEASTIVAL LAWS, THAT WERE NOT THE 7TH DAY SABBATH OF THE 4th COMMANDMENT AND COULD FALL ON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

(John 19:31 see also High"

Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. 32 The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. 33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. 35 The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,”[c] 37 and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”[d]

Now as per weekly sabbath, how is it that a circumcision can occur any day of the week.?

Here is the problem guys, it says:

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

and again:

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And it is without challenge that the word of truth or the holy scriptures here are referring to the Old testament.

So that being an undisputed fact then do show from the OT your position on the Sabbath.

This is not the first time I have put this request out there and I am not the only person to do so. And yet nothing. How is it that you can not see that you are twisting scripture to fit a theology the disciples of Christ would not do?

All the NT writers backed up their doctrinal points with a thus saith the Lord from the OT.

If it was circumcision they used the OT.

If it was sacrifices they used the OT.

If it was priesthood they used the OT.

If it was loving God they used the OT.

If it was law they used the OT.

The Gospels are replete with OT references to support their NT claims. So are the letters. Revelation is mostly OT quotes.

So its not too much to ask you to do and follow the example of those who carried the truth of Gods word to us in the NT.

And if you can't do it then that tells you something.
