2 Corinthians 1:[SUP]19 [/SUP]For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.[SUP]20 [/SUP]For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

This thread is for citing all the promises of God since we had gotten saved to encourage one another in keeping the faith.

Cite a scriptural reference and provide a short statement to the point of truth for that promise we can all rest in having received that promise.

Do not post any scriptural reference that supposedly only some believers have received but not all believers.

Post only those promises that applies to ALL believers in what they have received in Christ Jesus in rejoicing together.

1 Corinthians 12:[SUP]13 [/SUP]For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

There is no other baptism of the Holy Spirit to seek after since we have been saved. That is the testimony that we are all supposed to share in Christ Jesus. God would never divide the body of Christ by having some claim of drinking again of the One Spirit apart from salvation. It is not of Him so we can stay resting in Jesus Christ that we are Spirit filled since our salvation as a testimony of the Spirit of God in us is that we His and thus we are saved.

John 6:[SUP]35 [/SUP]And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

There is no more filling of the Spirit for that would deny the promise from Jesus for having come to Him and having believed in Him to have been saved by. The only way for His promise to be true is to believe we are filled by the Spirit since we had been saved to not hunger nor thirst any more to be filled.

Ephesians 4:[SUP]4 [/SUP]There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;[SUP] 5 [/SUP]One Lord, one faith, one baptism,[SUP] 6 [/SUP]One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

There is no need to fear that you are missing something in your christian life. You are of the body of Christ since you had been saved by that one hope of our calling by the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no other calling; no other baptism with the Holy Spirit to receive, because God the Father is in us all.

Philippians 4:

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We can live our lives free of anxiety as we bring everything to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

The peace of God which surpasses our understanding is powerful and guards our hearts and minds as we face the situations and circumstances that come up in this life.

This is the peace Jesus Christ promised to His disciples — — John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Matthew 9:[SUP]17 [/SUP]Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Another promise that we are Spirit filled as a testimony from the Triune God since we had been saved, as we are a new creature in Christ Jesus for why the seal of the Holy Spirit will never leave us at all so that we would never need a filling again.

Matthew 11:[SUP]28 [/SUP]Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.[SUP] 29 [/SUP]Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.[SUP] 30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

This is a promise from God for those who find christianity hard to do is because they are doing it religiously by doing the best they can instead of learning of Him to rest in Him to do His work in us so we can follow Him by faith alone, and not by striving in keeping a commitment or promise to do so.

Luke 9:[SUP]23 [/SUP]And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Since we could not save ourselves, then neither can we follow Him except by believing in Him as our Good Shepherd so that by trusting Him as a child would, He will help us to follow Him by faith in Him.

Philippians 1:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:[SUP] 7 [/SUP]Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.[SUP] 8 [/SUP]For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.[SUP] 9 [/SUP]And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;[SUP]10 [/SUP]That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.[SUP] 11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

All the words of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and the fruits of the Spirit are from Jesus Christ. That is Who we are to look to for we are the work of His hands as He is our Good Shepherd too.

1 John 3:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure....[SUP]8 [/SUP]He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus is our hope in overcoming sin's dominion over our lives. He will set us free to walk in the light. That is His purpose and that is His promise to you. Believe Him for He is our Good Shepherd to lead us away from temptation and to deliver us from the evil one for which we will give Him thanksgivings.

John 6: 26 - 27 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

vs 35 - 40 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.
48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

vs 53 - 58 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

2 Timothy 4:[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

This is a promise from God that at times when we wonder if we are abiding in Him or not, we can trust Him to help us be aware & to discern so we can depart from any iniquity that He does not want us in. That is why we can rest in Christ Jesus for all things since we had been saved, but it is better to know Him and His promises to us so our eyes are on Him daily for all our needs for following Him as His friend.

Jude 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,[SUP] 25 [/SUP]To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Another promise from God for those struggling with addiction or habitual sin. He will even help you to keep your eyes on Him during the storms of life you are in, so trust Him for everything today.

ignore is such a peaceful life. :)
Ignorance is bliss, right, Enow?

Maybe it is for you, but you are wrong to continually speak against things you choose to remain ignorant about.

..carry on.

Ephesians 1:[SUP]11 [/SUP]In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:[SUP] 12 [/SUP]That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.[SUP] 13 [/SUP]In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,[SUP]14 [/SUP]Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.[SUP]15 [/SUP]Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Let no one steal the joy of your salvation from you because you had been saved when you had come to and trusted in Christ Jesus as your Savior after hearing and believing the gospel of Jesus Christ which is the gospel of your salvation as to when you had received the promise of the Spirit by faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:[SUP]14 [/SUP]That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith....[SUP]26 [/SUP]For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.[SUP] 27 [/SUP]For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.[SUP]28 [/SUP]There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

This promise from God is that we all shall receive the promise of the Spirit by faith from the Father at our salvation and not by sight.

Galatians 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage....[SUP]5 [/SUP]For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

No commitment nor promises to follow Him is needed so you can rest in Him as your Good Shepherd to help you to follow Him. Those who err, can ask Jesus to forgive them and to set them free so they, too, can continue to rest in Him as they should have done since they were saved, in following Him. He will do His work in us, providing the fruits of righteousness in our lives so we can follow Him by faith.
