Can a person continue to post cryptic questions and never reveal his own views on anything?

No one could ever hope to be holy according to God's standards, he gave us ten commandments to follow and we can't even fully do that

The whole reason Christ died and rose again is because no matter how hard man tries to obey God and follow the commandments, bottom line is...we are sinners. Our only way of salvation is Jesus Christ. You still will be judged and you should still do your best to follow God's laws because it is good for you and can save you from very hard lessons. They help to keep you walking on the path He's laid out for you without being sucked into worldly ways.

You get to heaven if you confess your sins to Jesus with a contrite heart, repent of your past sins, and invite the Holy Spirit to live in your heart and guide the path you must take on your spiritual walk. I'm surprised you don't this.

A better question is what do you think God’s standard of Holyiness is?
I will give you a clue it requires utter perfection, see the following verses.

Exodus 33:19-23 NKJV
[19] Then He said, "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will
proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will
be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
[20] But He said, "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live."
[21] And the LORD said, "Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.
[22] So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of
the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. [23] Then I will take
away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen."

Next question how can we obtain that? Another clue, we can’t that is the reason
for the cross. :)

John 3:16-18 NKJV
[16] For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
[17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved. [18] "He who believes in
Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I am holy according to God's standard because I am in the one who has met God's standard, Jesus Christ.

Yeah, I'm starting to rethink my answer. Because UNholy people won't be in heaven, for sure!

Well it depends on how you look it. See according to god's standards being holy is be spotless clean and without sin which we failed big time but on the other hand we are holy clean and spotless because of the blood of Jesus. We are unholy and do not meet his standards by our own merit but in his blood this is not so.
I mean I know I am sinner I know I fall short I am all to aware of my sins and my lackings and yet he sees me as clean righteous and holy

Right :). But I guess, since God sees us through the blood of Christ, then we are holy by His standard? I'm starting to think I should look for trick questions before posting on polls :)

Do you want me to vote in the poll in this thread?
Why not just tell a little bit about yourself and become a part of the community? You have shared nothing about yourself so far since you joined. Your sole purpose and intention seems to be a source of strife. I really don't care how you vote in the poll but it would be at least interesting to hear your point of view on why you voted the way that you did. Perhaps then there would be something that is worth discussing than to just simply put up with your senseless posts.

Honestly the answer depends on the eyes you see through. You see I have always had such a horrible time seeing myself through God's eyes, I can see through his eyes when it comes to others even mean and evil people but when it comes to myself well... lets just say I have an identity crisis lol. However people who know and believe that through Christ they are righteous and holy can look in the mirror and see what he does while those like me whop struggle with this might answer the first poll option while those who know and believe what he says of us might answer the second

Both yes and no.

Depends on the angle of view, whether we talk about the holiness given to us in Christ or about our own.

and that is the truth.

As saints we have been declared holy as a result of faith in Jesus. Sanctified.

As a result we have been set apart to be Holy. Sanctification.

Positionaly Holy and growing in it.

As a result of being in Jesus and Jesus in us.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

If we profess to know Christ we are made righteous in Christ

For the cause of Christ

The answer to the first post depends on how you interpret the question. I voted "no" because no human walking the face of the earth can live up to God's standard of holiness. BUT we can overcome our human nature by repenting of our past sins and inviting the Holy Spirit to live in our heart (as per Tourist's post #6). Walk with the Holy Spirit and you can overcome sin.

If someone is trying to make themselves Holy, then no. No one has ever been able to meet this standard.

If, however, we are being made Holy By God himself. Via the righteousness of Christ in us. Then we will make it to heaven, even though in reality, we still fall short of Gods standard.
