1:9 Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

“Some have abandoned the Faith to follow deceiving spirits.”

“They worship Me in vain, their doctrine is merely human rules.”

”If anyone comes to you with a different gospel, do not even let him into your house.”

“With flames of fire He will take vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of His Son.”

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9)
Yes before we got saved we were under law and we were separated from GOD and we did not abide In the vine but when we got saved we are now abiding In the vine.

7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ ascoming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we[b] do not lose those things we worked for, but that we[c] may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever transgresses[d] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

The context is denying christ, no matter what version you use.
That's only partially accurate, and not complete.

New International Version
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

New Living Translation
Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

English Standard Version
Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

Berean Literal Bible
Anyone going on ahead, and not abiding in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. The one abiding in the teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.

New American Standard Bible
Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.

Yes, denying Christ is there plainly enough, but it's HOW they deny Christ that's most important here.

The key word is ABIDE. This tells us by itself that John is talking about saved christians who don't continue with the Lord & those that do.

In the modern church today, we can really see this. I pity those that can't, for they can't discern the truth because they don't have the Spirit of God in them.

I like what John said.

whoever sins has never seen Christ nor known him

People who sin (as a lifestyle) deny Christ because of they knew christ, and were saved by christ, they again as John said, Would not sin, because they have been born of God.

2 John 1:[SUP]7 [/SUP]For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.[SUP] 8 [/SUP]Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.[SUP] 9 [/SUP]Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.[SUP] 10 [/SUP]If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:[SUP] 11 [/SUP]For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

This is a warning to saved believers in Jesus Christ to beware of those who preach that the Spirit of Christ is moving in this place or in that place, bringing signs and wonders as this Spirit of Christ falls on already saved believers. These are the ones not abiding in the doctrine of Christ.

The examination of our faith is that Jesus Christ is in us. That is what is meant in 2 John 1:9 that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh as in He is in us. Those who abide in the doctrine of Christ HAS The Father & the Son, meaning they are abiding in the doctrine of Christ.

Those who are not abiding in the doctrine of Christ are by their testimony and by their action, in seeking to receive the Holy Spirit apart from salvation after a sign are saying they have not God.

But they do. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 even testifies that some will say the Holy Spirit is in them, but yet in hypocrisy, seek to receive Him again after a sign. So they promote that place where they believe that is the Spirit of Christ being there, for saved believers to go to to seek in receiving after a sign.

1 John 4:1-6 has John giving that same test about Jesus Christ "is come in the flesh" in testing for the spirits of the antichrist which is in the world; and so whenever a spirit comes over a saved believer later on in life apart from salvation, that is how you would know that is NOT the Holy Spirit; and that test also includes how the spirit of error will speak as the world speaks in supernatural tongue which is vain & profane babbling nonsense; and that is NOT how the Spirit of Truth will speak.

Do not think that they are not saved, because they are, but they are at risk of being left behind at the pre trib rapture event to be received later on as vessels unto dishonor in His House. I believe that is the warning given to the church at Thyatira in Revelation 2:18-29 where if they do not repent of their spiritual fornication, from which they utter the depths of Satan for which they speak, they will be cast into the great tribulation.

So do not go to places where the "slain in the spirit" or the "holy laughter" or wherever they are promoting as the "Holy Spirit" coming and falling on already saved believers after a sign in the flesh. That is what 2 John 1:9 is talking about. Do not welcome those that have gone astray into your home nor bid them Godspeed or God bless, les you be partakers of their evil deeds. They are your brothers & sisters still, but the command to withdraw from those that are disorderly is here; 2 Thessalonians 3:1-7,14-15, but not to treat them as the enemy, but to admonish them as brothers still, because they are.

No Christian will be left behind at the rapture, Enow. Every Christian is a member of the body of Christ, and when Christ returns to gather his body, every Christian will participate.

So what is the true translation to be used?
You can't take that scripture out away from the point that's being made in a paragraph.

This is the Hebrew to English which makes it much easier to see what is being said.

7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not acknowledge Yeshua the Messiah’s coming as a human being.
Such a person is a deceiver and an anti-Messiah.

8 Watch yourselves, so that you won’t lose what you have worked for, but will receive your full reward.

9 Everyone who goes ahead and does not remain true to what the Messiah has taught does not have God.

Those who remain true to his teaching have both the Father and the Son.

10 If someone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, don’t welcome him into your home. Don’t even say, “Shalom!” to him;

11 for the person who says,

“Shalom!” to him shares in his evil deeds.

The point is that Jesus did come as a human being. Flesh, the human nature with its frailties both physical and moral.

He is God in Spirit, but man as soul. Able to be tempted, but without sin. Ever.

is how I view this at this time.

He is our salvation. We pattern our life after His. We are born again, repent and baptized, I believe in both water and Spirit, but not as a must for salvation. It was a want to for me. Concerning water.

So the other point of this verse is that we too have His Spirit, and then receive the baptism or being whelmed in our Spirit.

Then learn to live, move, and have our very being in Him.

Secured in faith.

Feel free to refute the scripture references given by explaining what it is really all about. Just saying so, will not cut it.

1 Peter 4:[SUP]17 [/SUP]For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?[SUP] 18 [/SUP]And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?[SUP] 19 [/SUP]Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

1 Corinthians 3:[SUP]10 [/SUP]According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.[SUP] 11 [/SUP]For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.[SUP] 12 [/SUP]Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;[SUP]13 [/SUP]Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.[SUP] 14 [/SUP]If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.[SUP] 15 [/SUP]If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.[SUP] 16 [/SUP]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?[SUP] 17 [/SUP]If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Revelation 2:[SUP]21 [/SUP]And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.[SUP] 22 [/SUP]Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. [SUP]24 [/SUP]But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

Salvation is not lost; Jesus is not forsaking the unrepentant saints that are left behind because He still abides in them, even in former believers that did not repent before the Bridegroom had come.

2 Timothy 2:[SUP]11 [/SUP]It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:[SUP] 12 [/SUP]If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:[SUP]13 [/SUP]If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

You cannot explain away these scripture. There are a lot more warning believers to be ready or else. There would be no point in warning believers to be ready if all believers were to be taken anyway, which is not going to happen.

So let every that has His seal to heed the call to depart from iniquity by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin in running that race or else run the risk of being a castaway at the pre trib rapture event.

I do not have to refute them. I will, however, explain them to you.

That is not talking about "righteous" Christians vs "unrighteous" Christians. ALL Christians are MADE righteous by their faith in Christ (Rom 3:21ff). It's comparing Christians vs the ungodly and sinners (the unsaved). ALL Christians are members of the body of Christ, and will participate in the rapture.

Those verses are talking about rewards, not salvation. Every Christian has the gift of the Holy Spirit living in him, the guarantee of everlasting life, which also guarantees participation in the rapture, and the marriage supper of the Lamb. But we will be rewarded for the things done in the body, whether good or bad (2 Cor 5:10). Christians with no good works accounted to them will not receive any rewards, but they are still members of the body of Christ, and will participate in the rapture.

Rev 2 is not speaking about Christians.

Salvation is not lost; Jesus is not forsaking the unrepentant saints that are left behind because He still abides in them, even in former believers that did not repent before the Bridegroom had come.
No Christian will be left behind. People who Christ abides in are Christians, and every Christian will be gathered to Christ at the rapture.

No Christian will be denied salvation, and salvation for Christians means participating in the rapture of the Christian church. No Christian will be going through the tribulation.

You cannot explain away these scripture.
I have no need to explain them away, but I can explain them.

You are not differentiating between Christians and people who will come to believe in Jesus Christ after the rapture has taken place.

There are a lot more warning believers to be ready or else.
There are no "be ready or else" verses written to Christians that suggest that any Christian will not participate in the rapture.

There would be no point in warning believers to be ready if all believers were to be taken anyway
Of course there is a point. We should all want to receive a full reward (2 John 1:8).

which is not going to happen.
Every Christian will participate. Wait and see.

So let every that has His seal to heed the call to depart from iniquity by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin in running that race or else run the risk of being a castaway at the pre trib rapture event.
Paul was not talking about being fearful of not participating in the rapture.

I've never considered this sentence about Christ as you have explained in this particular sentence. I see Christ as "God in human form."
