Hey guys! It’s been awhile :D
I’ve been taking more history courses, and found some interesting stuff about the ancient Levant!
Want to share what I’ve found, my speculations, and ask for your speculations :)

According to scripture, the Philistines were not native to the Levant, but were a very recent addition to the area prior to the Conquest period.
The Bible says they are from Caphor, which is generally translated as the island of Crete.

According to secular history, a group of “sea peoples” landed in Syria in the 15th century BC, and fought there way down to Megiddo, where they fought a battle with the Egyptians and lost. (Megiddo is translated Armageddon in Greek)
After the loss, the Egyptians reported them to the Levant, but continued a trade relationship with them.
I assume these are the Philistines based on geography and timeline.

The mountain of Thera erupted in mid 1600s BC, destroying Akrotiri and causing tsunamis on Crete, destroying their capital of Knossos.
This, along with a string of recorded earthquakes afterward likely led to Crete being evacuated.

So my question is: did they bring the giants, or were the giants already in the land long before the Philistines?

The culture on Crete was “Minoan”, and their artwork (and the legends surrounding King Minos) dispatch a religious worship of the Minotaur. Due to Baal and Molech being often portrayed as Minotaurs in Canaanite iconography,
and Baal being called the leader of the Rephaim... I’m wondering if Baal was brought to the Levant by the Philistines,
and worshipped because they had giants to back them up

Crete was always a dark mysterious place in Greek folklore, to the ancient Greeks it wasnt folklore. Crete was full of giants, monsters and all kind of weird stuff.
i never believed the Philistines were related to the Canaanites, i always thought the Canaanites were semites and the Philistines were Greek. i do think they both had the same belief system. Canaanites, Phoenicians and Carthaginians were all related to each other. many believed it was the Phoenicians that spread the dark belief system all over the world possibly all the way to the Aztecs.

The Phoenicians did seem to be the instigators of a lot of evil culture. Good observation!

I find it odd which cultures the secular historians glorify and which ones they ignore

I’ve read excerpts, but have never gotten around to picking up a copy. Seems like a very interesting book!

Ive heard some cults take it as scripture, so I assume it has some major theological errors.
But I’ll give it a read :D
I love ancient history

There were no giants, when you are a Pygmy People then everyone is a giant. :)

here is another interesting observation. Enoch talks about the angel/human mixing of Gen 6 but gives much more details on the story. the ancient Aztecs, Greeks, Babylonians, Incas, etc tell the exact same story. only difference is the fallen angels are the good guys in these stories.

To me many will explain away or flat ignore the following truths when it comes to the Giants.....

a. During the days of NOAH there were giants
b. God wiped out every living thing under the heaven on the earth except that and those which were in the ark
c. Noah was upright in his generations...the word can carry the idea of forensically pure
d. ALL flesh had corrupted IT'S way upon the earth
e. NOAH's sons came from NOAH's seed (dna)
f. Where did the giants come from during the days of David if everything was wiped out during the flood (I believe everything was wiped out)

Shem settled the MIDDLE EASTERN area
Ham the African area
Japheth European area

There is no record of Noah bearing children after the flood.
So.....

A. Where did they come from before the flood
B. Where did they come from in the time of David some 1300 years or so after the flood

Regardless of view or opinion....there is a history of skeletons being found and destroyed by institutions such as the Smithsonian Institute.....of enormous size and stature....heights that cannot be comprehended by most and rejected by most.

Very interesting concepts for sure.......

Sounds like you have very similar interests as myself!
Genesis 6:4 does state that they were around “in those days, AND afterward”.
Very interesting wording, and begs so many questions

AMEN....I agree.....most sweep it under the rug, explain it away or categorize the giants into the box of symbolism or fanciful descriptions of men who were like 6 foot 6 or something.....

Of course they would be and in our future, they will come again as a alien race that planted our seed and caused us to be who we are......And they will be the Good Guys and the True Christians the Bad guys.

The Giants came from the wives of two of Noah's Sons. Shem was the only one whose wife did not have any giants that is recorded.

You can read it online, I would not bother buying a copy. The sons of God as angels cult rely heavely on the book of enoch.

when the bible makes the statement all flesh was corrupt but Noah, had Noahs sons been born? could a corrupted blood line go through a women? maybe they came from one of the women? Shem was the only one that didnt have giants in the later generations, Japeth a few and Ham had many.
