A leader of a Messianic Jewish church gave me a paper concerning Hebrew Roots Movement and their false theology.

The paper traces the roots of the false theology to the Millerites, Seventh Day Adventists, Church of God - Seventh Day, and my old cult, Worldwide Church of God (Armstrongism).

Here's the link:

Messianic Jews largely want NOTHING to do with Hebrew Roots Movement, as their nuttiness does nothing but bring problems for them, due to the inadvertent association of their organizations with the Hebrew Roots Movement nuttiness. Hebrew Roots Movement fanatics accusing the rest of Christianity of being pagan and disobedient to God have become a stench in their nostrils.

" The error of the Sacred-namers was not simply a linguistic one. The bigger error of the Sacred Name movement, and its successors who follow their traditions today, is in its legalistic insistence that using a little Hebrew is somehow going to improve a person’s relationship with God. Using Hebrew is not indicative of a person’s chosen-ness, nor does it increase righteousness, holiness, or intimacy with God. The fact that they use incorrect Hebrew only serves to highlight the error, and exposes the inaccurate nature of the Sacred Name movement."

This is a good remark in the paper referenced above in regards to the whole Sacred Name Movement nonsense.

I am also struck by the author's last remarks regarding the Hebrew Roots Movement which claims Gentiles must observe Torah.

He said, basically, that the organizations themselves ultimately begin judging one another, and suffer from dissention and contention. It reminded me of a young man, who had been a Hebrew Roots Movement guy, and realized that he lost his peace in the Lord due to the involvement. He realized the problems and left, and regained his peace with the Lord. Note the remarks at the end of Hebrews 5, how the contention (biting and devouring) was a result of their false theology.

Hebrews 5: For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.[SUP]2 [/SUP]Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. [SUP]3 [/SUP]I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. [SUP]4 [/SUP]You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified[SUP][a][/SUP] by the law; you have fallen away from grace. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. [SUP]6 [/SUP]For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? [SUP]8 [/SUP]This persuasion is not from him who calls you. [SUP]9 [/SUP]A little leaven leavens the whole lump. [SUP]10 [/SUP]I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is. [SUP]11 [/SUP]But if I, brothers,[SUP][b][/SUP] still preach[SUP][c][/SUP] circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed. [SUP]12 [/SUP]I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” [SUP]15 [/SUP]But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.

we, hub and I have NOT found this to be so...instead, we love and honor even those
considered 'mis-led' by others, if they are seeking to find a new and better way
to 'worship-obey The Creator' The Holy God of our Universe"...

your 'lack of Godly Love and Understanding and Tolerance, Forgiveness, is disgusting!...
