She helped me become the strong woman that I am today haha.

Joyce just doesn't give a darn what other people think about her. She seeks Jesus and shares to people what He's done in her life. People just flock to her because they see Jesus glory. I think that's all there is to it really.

People who are not blessed by what she has gone through and how Jesus delivered her, obviously know a better way to live life.

Why would God want women to be silent in church? That doesn't even make sense. I know a lot of women who are much more educated than I am so why would I not want to learn from them?
Are you teachable?

Greeks and Jews taught different. if you compare Greek and Jewish teaching you can see how they are presented differently.

absolutely, the cultural differences between humble jewish fishermen, a tax collector, and a learned roman citizen/ pharisee. ive sort of believed that one of the reasons God chose paul to reach gentiles with the gospel, is because he was a greek speaker, and learned roman citizen, and also eliquent writer. these are tools peter for instance did not possess, not being able to even write the gospel of Mark himself, but having mark dictate it because he couldnt write in greek. God choses people because of thier strengths and also sometimes thier weaknesses to accomplish amazing things. i think paul reflects the fact that both jew and greek were responsible for Jesus death, and He is the savior of both Jew and gentile.
i watched a good lecture on this not to long ago. if interested send me a pm and i will find it for you

thank you i may do that, another thought i was having about pauls choosing is how he reflects everything in his life that the gospel is about. a man who trusted in His own righteousness by the law, a pharisee, a " hebrew of hebrews." yet when He finds Jesus, he considers all of that rubbish and dung. Paul a man who was set to destroy and imprison the church, even a gilty party at stephens death. a confessed blasphemer, yet he met the Lord Jesus and became a new man a soldier of the Lord who believed so much, he was stoned for preaching and left for dead, dragged outside the city......was raised up and went back into the city.

a man that opposed the church bitterly in the beginning, and was changed from the heart through the Gospel. oaul lived the things he taught about dying to the flesh and living by the spirit. and he also like Jesus, taught us to live those same things . sometimes its amazing to think of the apostles, men like all of us that were so established in faith because they actually walked with Jesus and saw what He sis raising the dead, commanding the sea and winds, walking on water ect. rising from the dead.... they believed so much that most of them were tortured and slaughtered by rome. even to the flames they went refusing to deny Jesus....because they believed in what he said of the unseen rewards in store for Gods people, the eternal Kingdom, resurrection after death. the church needs to believe in these perilous times, and we believe the word we have to hear sonmething to believe it, and words are what conveys the knowledge of salvation, Gods Words.

I agree i dont regularly listen to or read her, but from what ive seen and heard from her own teaching, she is rather sound. she actually teaches people to live the things they learn, to spend daily time in the word of God in prayer , and her personal testimony, especially her childhood abuse and the story of her father in the end, and also her brothers death. she is just straight forward with her delivery, and to me i appreciate it.

i dont agree with every word, or rrather how she states some things, but im pretty sure we dont have to agree on every jot and tittle. i believe mrs, meyer is ordained of God to teach especially women, the things in the Word of God, and know others who feel as you do.

Joyce Meyer is rich preacher. So not easy to enter heaven

[h=1]Matthew 19:24King James Version (KJV)[/h]24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

No.
There are parts of the Bible that are addressing specific individuals in a specific set of circumstances.
Remember when God asked Cain where is your brother?
Blood cries out from the soil? He wasn't talking to me because I haven't killed anyone
He is speaking to you but as usual you are not listening.

I'm older than most of you. Way older than a lot of you, and I imagine I have listened to at least as many preachers as almost any of you. And I have yet to listen to one that does not eventually say something I think is wrong and not Biblical.

That said, who here can tell me that our Salvation is dependent upon us knowing whether Jesus spent a certain number of hours dead, or went down to Hell at a specific time, for a specific purpose? I'll venture to say, not a one of you. Oh, of course I have been here long enough to give you a list of at least seventeen people who would gladly CLAIM they can say that.... but I figure that if they will lie about that, they'll lie about other things, too.
It's not about quantity but about quality. Apostates abound where there are itching ears.

Yes, it says what it says, NOT what we have decided it must be saying.

I believe I said EVERY preacher (or teacher) misses the mark, as I see things. And, if you (or anyone else) listens long enough, they will all, eventually, contradict your beliefs, too.

I definitely agree with on one thing, that even preachers teachers miss the mark, and we ALL miss the mark. But, I also believe that if you are patient enough and truly want to serve the Lord, He will put you in a church with a pastor/preacher who's messages line directly up with the Word of God. I know in my personal experience, I found that with my pastor and my church, and I'm so thankful for that. He will tell you straight way he isn't perfect, but he preaches the truth, and straight from God's word. Sadly, too many pastors and preachers are not preaching or teaching in this manner, and the church loses it's salt and savor.

I do not listen for long if they contradict my beliefs because my beliefs are settled in the bible. Berean before being Berean was fashionable.

That's a far cry from the apostate money making evangelical industry that is represented in this thread.

Willie,
It is one thing to miss the mark. It is quite another thing to persist in error. It is the solemn duty of any preacher or teacher to know what Scripture teaches and present God's truth without fear or favor. God will not accept anything else.

Scripture warns Christians that not many should be teachers. And when errors are publicly exposed, they need to be acknowledged and repented of. Instead there generally seems to be a hardening of the arteries.

The church loses light and salt all the time, but you should never lose it.

We have too many Pastors and preacher/teachers trying to be relevant today and not real. this is why male attendance is in such steep decline.

I cannot relate to a preacher that is a early 30 something dressed in skinny jeans, lil bitty chukka boots and a cute blouse, er un-tucked t-shirt, sportin a 1-3 fade mop top, speakin the message version text from his ipad in one hand and has a latte in the other and wraps his 3 point sermonette for chrtisanettes at minute 12, cause the next crowd needs to come in.

But, if I told you (and I am sure people have) that something you believe is wrong... because I believe differently.... what does it say for your conviction if you look at what I said, compare it with what you believe, and still retain your original belief... BUT, start saying I am right (usually because I probably espouse the traditions I was taught) just because I attacked your belief?

Some people would say you are just stubborn. But, I would say you really DO believe... maybe more than a lot of people do.

We have got to be thoroughly stupid to think that someone teaching things other than what we were taught....... somehow never even heard (or were taught) the very same things we were taught and now believe. 99% of the time, they could have been the child sitting next to us in Sunday School..... But we often act like we think they just emerged from Hinduism or some Voodoo culture, and invented their belief, out of the blue, because they were never taught the standard, accepted, traditional "truth" we were fed in Sunday School.

This dose not apply to you ? Because you haven’t killed someone? Come on . Examine what is written, all of it . Brush off the dust. Remove the cobwebs. Dig deeper Dude . That verse and ones adjacent shouts about more than just murder it points to a lack of compassion ,conscious ,jealousy . That is just to start .

2nd imothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

See the words all scripture? It refers to the whole wealth of knowledge given to us by God in scripture. What we call the Bible . We don’t go thru picking out what is for me . You are not in a theological cafeteria picking out the tasty tidbits of scripture that only apply to you . It was given to us in total to be used .
Blessings
Bill
