Genesis 1:26-31 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion ...... over all the earth......So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion ............And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
man is created to be like God thier creator who made them in His own Likeness and after hIs image, and blessed them, and gave them freely, dominion over all His creation, over the earth and all that is in it God gave man in the beginning, dominion....rule over the creation, because man was like God, we were very good. this is the beginning, mans true nature and purpose, what man is created for is to be Like God, good, holy and merciful.
man was not created in the state that we needed salvation, we were created in companionship with the only true God, the Father who Loves us that he made us after the image of the most High God, and put us at His right hand to have dominion over all his creation...this in eden. so then why is the new testament, all about salvation, redemption, death and resurrection, new birth in the spirit, reconciliation?
why does mankind created like God and blessed and called very good in Gods sight, having the right to the tree of life need salvation? Because of what happens next, at this point man has dominion over Gods Creation, He has freedom to eat of any tree in the garden, and is instructed for His safety about the one deadly tree. man is in essence the lord of the earth, under God, Gods companion and friend, His beloved creation, His chosen creation to bless and give dominion over all the rest.this is not my opinion, but simply what is written. man has an intimate, personal Loving relationship with God all is good in creation.

4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (<<< the point of discernment this is a deception, God is not lying) 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."
now all of the sudden, the serpent comes explaining why Gods warning of death to keep man safe...is not true, "its a lie God told you because he doesnt want you to be like him" thats the serpents message to eve. then the result is that eve believes him, because she then " sees that" the fruit is good for food, it looked really good, and it would actually benifit her making her wise like God. we understand eve believed the lie because she ate the fruit, had she believed God she would not have eaten the fruit believing it would kill her. same with adam, " well she ate it and shes not dead, he must be right"
the result is that man hides from God, flees from his presence, because he is now afraid of Gods word, after all it had said that he would surely die. the perception is death now, so the result is fear. a seperation from God results, a broken relationship that needs to be restored.
we see How easily mans mind can be led astray here, when we allow our minds to believe against what God says of things, and follow another explanation, and the dire consequences of disbelieving God and not taking His word for it. we then understand why man needs salvation, redemption...we see why were all born to die, and need resurrection, we understand why we need reconciliation. think of adam as mankind as a whole.
And unto Adam he said, Because thou ( adam had dominion)hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife,( who passed the serpents word along) and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; ( compare to God giving the trees of the earth to adam in genesis 1.)
19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.....( the result of eating the fruit, disbelieving Gods truth and why mankind is born already sentanced to death, its why were mortal to begin with and why we need Jesus who restores eternal life.

the serpent wasnt lying about everything, the fruit did make them "as one of us" Knowing good and evil. the part that brought death, is because satan removed Gods Word that said " dont do it or you will surely die" ...its not " if you disobey my oppressive rule ill crush you" its " this tree is deadly for you, do not eat from it it will bring death to you. " you see How easily man can be deceived, and the necessaty is to stay with what God Has said through Jesus Christ, because if One holds to the truth, they cannot be decieved , they will not accept what differs from Gods Own Word through thier Lord and savior, because thier faith is truly in Him who suffered and died for them and rose again.
the fall of man was because of a lie and deceit , infiltration by Gods Enemy into the mind of man through words. the redemption of mankind from that fall into sin and mortality, expulsion from paradise and eternal Life, Comes through the Word of truth, the Gospel of salvation the message of the Kingdom of God. our minds were changed through words of deception, doubt and temptation, and our minds are Healed through Faith in the Word of God.
We need salvation, reconciliation, redemption, repentance.....because we were not created sinners and rebels against God, we were made into that by corruption of our minds against Gods truthfulness when He speaks, and his motives towards us. mankind was made in Gods image, corrupted and made into this image in genesis 6. the gospel repairs this wrong thinking. you see Gods Love, his true motive to ward us, you hear for yourself what God says of things because Jesus was speaking it and hes the Christ.
genesis 6 "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them." (compare to genesis 1 when God creates man and all things are "very good")
the reason sin cant be allowed is that it spreads in just ten generations man goes from very good, to only evil all the time with completely corrupt Hearts, this is why the law was given. to show sin for what it is, repulsive and evil, certain death.
we need salvation because mankind is under a sentance of death because of sin, its why were all born and have a short life and die and that is what we are saved from and given eternal Life again, the right to feed on the fruit of Jesus Christ the true tree of eternal Life.
