An interesting truth. According to Paul, Paul was sent to teh gentiles while Peter was to go to those of Israel.

When you say Gospel of Thomas, it is certain you mean the Gospel of our Lord Jesus, as written down by Thomas. Now my question is, where is the Gospel according to Thomas? I am now off to Google my head off.......God bless you always..

Something to keep in mind, Jesus, Yeshua, mamed Peter Kefa. I am informed by students of Hebrew better informed than I that Kefa or Cephs Greekiated, means hallow stone or rock.....interesting. Perhaps it is hallowed for carrying Living Water.

In the Gospel of Thomas, we have the following verse:
(12)

(1) The disciples said to Jesus: “We know that you will depart from us. Who (then) will rule over us?”
(2) Jesus said to them: “No matter where you came from, you should go to James the Just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being.”

Does this refute the Catholic claim that Peter is the rock that the church would be built on?
