What is the “Witness/Testimony/belief” Spoken of in Isaiah 8:20, Rev 12:17 and Rev 14:12-13?

I believe it is he witness is knowing/believing/preaching that the testimony of YHWH is true; Yahshua is the true Messiah and He came in the flesh, was Sacrificed and was resurrected by YHWH onto everlasting life to judge and rule all.

Isayah 8:20, "To the Law and
to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

Genesis/Bereshith 3:15, “And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel.”

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of
יהוה and possessing the witness of יהושעMessiah."

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of יהוה and the belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Revelation 1:1-2, “Revelation of יהושע Messiah, which יהוה gave Him to show His servants what has to take place with speed. And He signified it by sending His messenger to His servant Yoḥanan, who bore witness to the Word of יהוה, and the witness of יהושע Messiah – to all he saw."

Revelation 1:8-9, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, Beginning and End,” says יהוה “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. I, Yoḥanan, both your brother and co-sharer in pressure, and in the reign and endurance of יהושע Messiah, came to be on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of יהוה and for the witness of יהושע Messiah."

Revelation 6:9-11, “And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the beings of those having been slain for the Word of יהוה and for the witness which they held, and they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Master, set-apart and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? And there was given to each one a white robe, and they were told that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brothers, who would be killed as they were, was completed.”

Revelation 11:4-7, “These are the two olive trees (Eze 4:3) and the two lampstands that are standing before the Strength of the earth. And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out from their mouth and consumes their enemies. And if anyone wishes to harm them, he has to be killed in that way. These possess authority to shut the heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. And they possess authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they wish. And when they have ended their witness, the beast coming up out of the pit of the deep shall fight against them, and overcome them, and kill them.”

Revelation 19:10-11, “And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who possess the witness of יהושע. Worship יהוה! For the witness of יהושעis the spirit of prophecy. And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights.”

Acts 10:40-43, “ יהוה raised up this One on the third day, and let Him be seen, not to all the people, but to witnesses, those having been chosen before by יהוה – to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He commanded us to proclaim to the people, and to witness that it is He who was appointed by יהוה to be Judge of the living and the dead. To this One all the prophets bear witness, that through His Name, everyone believing in Him does receive forgiveness of sins.”

1 John/Yahanan 5:7, “For there are three which testify: The Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three are of one accord.”

The testimony is the Revelation of Christ.

It is a Revelation because it is revealed by Christ and the Holy Spirit.

It is what is given when a person comes to Christ and is baptized (immersed) into Christ. But it is confirmed by the words in the Bible.

This is as close to the Revelation of Christ that you could get to using just the bible alone;
Ephesians 2:4-22
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Mk1:01 The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God,

John 5
31 “If I testify about myself, my witness is not valid. 32 It is another who testifies about me. I know that the testimony which he testifies about me is true. 34 But the testimony which I receive is not from man. however, I say these things that you may be saved. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me. 47 But if you don’t believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

John 21: 24
24”This is the Disciple who testifies about these things and wrote these things, we know that his witness is true”

Luke 1:1~4
”Since many have undertaken to set in order a narrative concerning those matters, which have been fulfilled among us” ”Even those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, delivered them to us”
”Thus seemed good to me also, having traced the course of all things accurately from the first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus” ”That you might know the certainty concerning the things in which you were instructed”

John 1: 1~2_14_17_3~4_9~10_5_11~13_16_18
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and He lived among us, we have seen His Glory, the Glory of the One and only Son, who came from the Father, full of Grace and Truth. For the law was given through Moses, Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ.
All things were made through Him, without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was Life, and that Life, was the Light of all people. The True Light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world and the world was made through Him though the world did not recognize him. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend.
He came to His own and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become God’s children to those who believe in His name. Who are born not of natural descent or human decision, nor of the human will, but of God. From his fullness we all received grace upon grace. No one has seen God but the one and only Son, who is in the closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known.

John 1: 6~8
There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. And John came as a witness that he might testify about the light, through him that all might believe. He was not the Light but was sent that he might testify about the Light.

Luke 1: 5~25
There was in the days of Herod the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zachariah of the priestly division of Abijah, he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elizabeth.

"Testimony" is primarily a legal term which is then applied to spiritual things. In a court of law, witnesses are called before the judge to testify to the facts of a case, and must tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth (their testimony).

So it is in Scripture, where the Greek word for testimony -- marturia -- also began to be applied to martyrs, who gave their lives as a testimony or witness to their faith in Christ.

Strong's Concordance
marturia: testimony
Original Word: μαρτυρία, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: marturia
Phonetic Spelling: (mar-too-ree'-ah)
Short Definition: witness, evidence, testimony
Definition: witness, evidence, testimony, reputation.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon
STRONGS NT 3141: μαρτυρία

...in a predominantly dogmatic sense respecting matters relating to the truth of Christianity: of the testimony establishing the Messiahship and the divinity of Jesus (see μαρτυρέω, a.), given by — John the Baptist:John 1:7; John 5:32; μαρτυρίατοῦἸωάννου,John 1:19; Jesus himself, with a genitive of the subjunctive, John 5:31; John 8:13f; God, in the prophecies of Scripture concerning Jesus tile Messiah, in the endowments conferred upon him, in the works done by him, John 5:36; through the Holy Spirit, in the Christian's blessed consciousness of eternal life and of reconciliation with God, obtained by baptism ((cf. references under the word βάπτισμα, 3)) and the expiatory death of Christ, with a subject. genitive τοῦΘεοῦ, 1 John 5:9-11, cf. 1 John 5:6-8; the apostles,σουτήνμαρτυρίανπερίἐμοῦ, Acts 22:18(Winer's Grammar, 137 (130)); the other followers of Christ: Revelation 6:9; with a genitive of the subjunctiveαὐτῶν, Revelation 12:11; with a genitive of the objectἸησοῦ, Revelation 12:17; Revelation 19:10;Revelation 20:4 (ἔχειν this μαρτυρία is to hold the testimony, to persevere steadfastly in bearing it,Revelation 6:9; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 19:10(see ἔχω, I. 1 d.); others, however, explain it to have the duty of testifying laid upon oneself); elsewhere the testimony of Christ is that which he gives concerning divine things, of which he alone has thorough knowledge, John 3:11, 32f; μαρτυρίαἸησοῦ, that testimony which he gave concerning future events relating to the consummation of the kingdom of God, Revelation 1:2 (cf. Revelation 22:16, 20); διάτήνμαρτυρίανἸησοῦΧριστοῦ, to receive this testimony, Revelation 1:9.

1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Witness meaning:

record, testimony, witness.
From martus ; evidence given (judicially or genitive case) -- record, report, testimony, witness.

This is the testimony Shalom

Daniel 3

24Then Sovereign Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar was amazed, and stood up in haste and spoke and said to his counsellors, “Did we not throw three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the sovereign, “Certainly, O sovereign.”

25
He answered and said, “Look! I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire. And they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of Elah.”

26
Then Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar went near the mouth of the burning furnace of fire. He spoke and said, “Shaḏraḵ, Mĕyshaḵ, and Aḇĕḏ-Neg̅o, servants of the Most High Elah, come out, and come here.” Then Shaḏraḵ, Mĕyshaḵ, and Aḇĕḏ-Neg̅o came from the midst of the fire.

27
And the viceroys, the nobles, and the governors, and the sovereign’s counsellors gathered together, seeing these men on whose bodies the fire had no power, and the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments changed, nor did the smell of fire come on them.

Y-shua said Himself you believed in Moses believe also in Me. The testimony is Y-shua; the scarlet thread that runs thru all 66 books!!! You cannot have all 66 Books without Y-shua, they are all about Him. And you cannot have Y-shua without all 66 Books. If you deny one Book as the infallible, inerrant Word of G-d then it's all WRONG!!!

Yonah 1:17, “But יהוה appointed a great fish to swallow Yonah. And Yonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.”

Mat 12:39-40, “But He answering, said to them, “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah. For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the Son of Aḏam be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

A testimony is part mindful revelation of fact given by the Spirit and part experience of that fact. It is a personal experience, therefore with truth, which is then a legal binding verbal (or written) testimony to it being reality based on your whole acceptance of it based on those two aspects.

(1 John 5:11-12): ...New American Standard Bible (NASB)

11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Psalm 22, My Strength! My Strength! Why have You forsaken Me? O why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning? O יהוה I cry in the daytime and at night; I am not silent but You do not hear. But You are holy, Who have the praises of Israyl. Our fathers trusted You; they trusted You, and You delivered them. They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed. But I am a worm, and no man, but despised! I am scorned by men and despised by the people. Those who see Me laugh, they shoot their lips, they shake their heads, saying: He trusted on יהוה ! Let Him save Him! Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him! But You took Me from My mother's womb, יהוה ! You made Me trust in You, even from My mother's breast. I was cast upon You from My birth; from My mother's womb, You are My Strength. Be not far from Me, for trouble is near, and there are none to help but You. Many bulls have surrounded Me; bulls of Bashan have compassed and beset Me; They gape on Me with their mouths, as ravening and roaring lions. I am poured out like water, and all My strength has left Me. My heart is like wax; it has melted within Me. My strength is dried up like a pottery sherd, and My tongue cleaves to My jaws. You have brought Me to the dust of death. For dogs and the assembly of the wicked have compassed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them, and for My tallit they cast lots. But You, O יהוה , be not far from Me! O My Strength, make haste to help Me! Deliver Me from the sword, and My precious life from the power of the dog; the assembly of the wicked. My praise shall be of You, O יהוה , in the great congregation! I will pay My vows before those who reverence You! The poor shall eat and they shall be satisfied. Halleluיהוה ! Those who seek יהוה , may they live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to יהוה ! It is who we are through Christ.
Good thread brother!
praiseYah! for we are His!

John/Yahanan 15:5-16, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, produces much fruit; but without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and letting My words; abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it will be done for you. In this is My Father glorified: when you produce much fruit; and in this way you become My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you; continue in My love. If you keep My Commands, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's Commands, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be complete. This is My Command: Love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: that one would lay down his life on behalf of his brothers. You are My brothers, if you do whatever I command you."

Testimony is anything a person declares to be true.

God's testimony is anything and everything God declares to be true.
Amen

I would suggest according to the letter of the law as that seen in respect to the spirit or power of the law not seen. The living witness God has spoken in a desire that some might be moved to believe and do His good pleasure .

The law and the prophets.

Moses signifying the letter as to the living will of God while Elijah, the Spirit or power of the perfect law .

It is those two witnesses that work to together to both will (the letter of the law ) and to do (the power) the good pleasure of another. It does not return void

Two steps . The will (converting ) as a testimony to that will (making or creating)giving us His understanding

Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, "converting" the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, "making" wise the simple.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.Phi 2:12
