This number 37 study is unusual and captivating to read. I believe there is something to it. The significance of Hurricane Irma being the most powerful storm ever recorded in the Atlantic, and it's landfall about September 11 is no coincidence, but difficult to discern the meaning. Also the sustained winds of 185 MPH for 37 hours and the reference to Psalm 37, as well as the unusual tides--draining the bay ahead of the frightening storm:
“And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides." (Luke 21:25; biblegateway.com; NLT)

Psalm 37 is an amazing Psalm: The Lord directed my attention to this Psalm twice in the last two days--Psalm 37 is a Psalm of King David, who was a Judaic shepherd, warrior and king of Israel, which is defended by America to this day. Jerusalem, the city of David, also is the city of Jesus, who claimed it for God's people when He rode into it with Divine authority and power--all authority and power in Heaven and earth, not on a war-horse with a visible army, but the humble Lamb of God riding on a servant's colt, escorted by innumerable Angels, the people and children with Palm branches proclaiming:
"Hosanna in the Highest!"

Psalm 37--

Don’t worry about the wicked
or envy those who do wrong.
2 For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like spring flowers, they soon wither.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

7 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.

8 Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.
9 For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.

10 Soon the wicked will disappear.
Though you look for them, they will be gone.
11 The lowly will possess the land
and will live in peace and prosperity.

(Psalm 37:1-11; biblegateway.com; NLT)

This psalm is also significant and the reference to hurricane Irma making landfall in America on September 11, the same day as the attacks on America, because it is a reference to the words of Jesus:
"the meek shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5)

and the end of militant Islam:
"Soon the wicked will disappear.
Though you look for them, they will be gone.

It's also significant that this appears on a day that remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., (Tomorrow, January 15th, 2018) since Psalm 37 makes a reference to his famous speech in Washington D.C. in 1963:
"The justice of your cause will shine forth like the noonday sun." (Psalm 37: 6)

On October 14, 1964, King received the Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality through nonviolent resistance

There was no Psalm 37 before sometime during the 13th century. History says it was in 1227 AD, and Stephen Langton did it.

well, how about some support of your statement? "History says," is not enough for me! and doesn't it support the original poster with unusual theories about 37? someone tried to cover up psalm 37? I"m sure it was there somewhere. the Jews would be the ones to ask on that one--

the Psalms were set in a particular order as individual units, so that their number - which is equivalently a "chapter" in not-song-books is actually inspired. most of the rest of the scripture was not intended to be 'quantitized' when it was written this way, but the number of each Psalm, for example the 22nd and the 49th, are meant to be the 22nd and the 49th.
the order of the Psalms, and the implicit mapping to the natural numbers in particular, aren't like the chapter designations of the rest of the Bible, which were introduced in the middle ages to aid referencing. they are inspired

Circles in our DNA connected with the number 37. This bears repeating but the 1st occurrence of the number 37 in Pi is at the 46th position counting from the decimal point. A 37 and 46 residing together just like in our cells (which are patterned after the Tabernacle that God commanded Moses to construct).
I wonder why none of the naysayers have touched this? God put circular 37's in our cells and he put 37 words in 1 Kings 7:23 (KJB) and encoded Pi to 5 digits. And where was the "sea" of 1 Kings 7:23 located? THE TEMPLE!!!!

"...for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them..." (2 Corinthians 6:16)

It is in the mitochondria that sugars are burnt in your cells to maintain your body at 37 degree C.

While I would not consider myself a naysayer, I do not believe that an excessive focus on number 37 is helpful. On the other hand the number 7 has tremendous significance in Scripture.

Did you happen to read the title of the thread? And as far as the Bible is concerned, you will almost always find 7's where there are 37's.

Hurricane Irma made landfall in continental US on Sept 10. What is the significance of stating that it hit 'about' on Sept 11. About and actual are two entirely different things. Later in your post you stated that Hurricane Irma made landfall in America on Sept 11, not even using the term about. You really lose credibility by changing the dates of events to suit your narrative. In this one instance you said that psalm 37:1-11 is a reference to Irma striking on Sept 11 which is not true since Irma struck the day before. About doesn't cut it in prophesy, but only actual.

While I do not believe there is a direct connection between Psalm 37 and Hurricane Irma, there will forever be a connection between the life of Hurricane Irma, the number 37, and 9/11/2017 as it was the day it was centered on Florida and by the end of the day had ceased in being a hurricane.

Do these correspondences occur in Greek and Hebrew manuscripts as well? I don't mean the exact ones as KJV, but in general does it occur?
I came through Looking up the number 37 and I saw your question.
The answer is yes!
I believe the connection to 7 and777 tho not explained has to do with the first verse in the Bible.
It’s 7 words that make up the numbers 37 and 73 repeatedly.
There’s a 777 reference in there but I forgot what it was.
Numbers play a huge role in the Bible and while it’s not 100% accurate to say that the numbers of chapter and verse are inspired it’s also not 100% accurate to say that they’re not either.
Whenever God is using numbers it’s more about timing and coordination so while many may not have significant meaning many do and it’s up to us to do and find these.
Paul called the Gospel a mystery and the Word mystery in the Greek is not one that is hidden but one that is revealed.
Proverbs 25:5 says that the glory of God is to conceal a matter but the glory of kings is to search it out.
We are kings and priests unto God so it’s to our glory to search these things out and who doesn’t love a good mystery.
There’s unlimited Revelation hidden within every letter and every word in the Bible and btw, the Hebrew language is jam packed with it.
Just studying the alphabet is amazing Revelation about Jesus and who He is.
It’s such amazing stuff.
It’s the oldest language and it’s literally the language of God and you’ll realize that once you see how it’s all about Jesus and His glory.
There’s just so much Revelation to be hard and that should make us always want to dig and find the hidden treasure inside.
One of the blessings of Deuteronomy 28 is that God would open His up His good treasury to us and I intend to get as much as I can
