You still have it backwards, I can violate the law of love and NOT break any of the commands. if I look at a woman with lust, I have not broken a command, Yet jesus said I have commited adultry. If I know to do right, and do not do it because I am selfish, I have not broken any of the ten.

I can go on and on and on.

The problem is that the ten commands are not a complete list. It is just a small sample. Yet a large enough sample to do what it needed to do. To confirm we ALL HAVE SINNED.
I can understand why Jesus was frustrated when He explained these things. We are in a way also Pharisees because how you get to this statement after reading the 10 commandments is mind boggling.

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Why do you think Jesus explained to the people that you are sinning inside your body when you lust after a women? Maybe we should read what happens in your brain when you sleep with somebody or think about it and then understand why he said these things.

Matthew 5:28-29,"But I say to you that everyone looking at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. And if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom."

That's why they had 613 laws to go along with the 10 commandments.

How do you go about obeying that command. It is do not covet anothers wife. A person can have lust for a woman and not covet her as a wife. Right?

So we have to be specific.

The Lord was not frustrated when He explained the spiritual principles behind the 10 commandments. He knew people had no capacity to understand. They would still try to follow a carnal commandment no matter how He explained it.

Even after converting Paul and Paul explaining it to the world people still try to work at the commandments.

Because they can't understand the spiritual principles behind the 10 commandments until they come to the Lord Jesus Christ.

You are absolutely correct that Jesus was not frustrated. God is not man to be flustered by his ignorance.

As for the law. Again, no man can live by the law, especially as it was before Jesus Christ, however after He fulfilled teh majority of them, the law remain, which He makes reference to are to be obeyed as best given each of us, though we do stumble and trip here and there, and this is why we know we live in grace, never "under the law" as you seem to be humg up on.

It is a joy to obey God as best given us to do. When we do not, in weak moments, our guilt is not held against us, Psalm 32.

The most remarkable truth about many who profess to believe Jesus Christ and grace, is that grace and pardon were availed to man, to those of the Hebrews, long before Jesus came. He brought HIs gospel to all mankind, not just to the Hebrews.

That's why they had 613 laws to go along with the 10 commandments.

How do you go about obeying that command. It is do not covet anothers wife. A person can have lust for a woman and not covet her as a wife. Right?

I think I understand completely how Jesus felt. We have the same issues here with modern day pharisees trying to push law.

The fact that sex is a sin for the body, that’s was not known or inferred until the NT, Jesus inferred it when he said lusting after a WOMEN (any woman, not just your neighbor, or as shown yesterday, a seductress or evil woman) was a sin. And it took paul to tell us that they were sins against the body.

The law. Which says do not covet (people) do not fornicate and do not commit adultry. Does what laws do. If you break the command, it gives a legal standard and means to judge the penalty which we are told will be imposed for breaking that law.

The law gave two penalties, One was spiritual (curse) the other was temporal (major offenses brought with it the penalty of stoning)

The law CAN NOT tell you HOW OR WHY you obey. It can just be brought against you when you BREAK IT. (As paul said, apart from the law he had no sin, nothing could be charged against him, When the law came, sin then came and he suffered the penalty (death)

The problem with the religious Jew is he thought he was righteous because he thought he followed the law because he loved God. (See paul for example) But because he was focused on the letter. He did not see the real sins and what they were doing to him, and how his religion trumped his faith in God, (his faith was in religion not God) and sadly, we see this today. From lawyers who trust in works to save or maintain their salvation, To lawyers who I think may be truly saved, but have a misunderstanding of what true sanctification looks like.

Your the one deflection. I gave you what moses said, and paul confirmed in Gal 3. And seen in Deuteronomy right after the commands were given to the children of Isreal.

You can deflect and ignore it all you want, but scripture proves you wrong.

As paul said, if you want to be under the law. You are under a curse. PERIOD. You better obey every word.

The levitical law is not the curse. It was the temporary ANSWER to the curse.
You still are purposely avoiding my post regarding your preaching of Col. 2.

So then you are confirming your preaching that the "Rudiments of the World" and the "Traditions of men", which are "vain deceits" spoken of in Col. 2, are God's Laws. And that it is God's Laws that are against us, that Jesus nailed to the cross.

But creating images of God in the likeness of men, creating your own high days in worship to him, creating your own version of sanctified and Holy, is OK.

So then in your religion, I am free to place Christ's name on pagan high days and images of God man created and I am blameless, but if I do as instructed and "walk even as He walked" I am a reprobate trying to get saved by my works.

Death is a curse, God's Laws are "Just", "Holy", "Spiritual" and "good". Scripture exposes your preaching EG.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God; the Lord is one.
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your means.

And these words, which I command you this day, shall be upon your heart.

2 shimon(peter
[h=1]2 Peter 1Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)[/h]1 From: Shim‘on Kefa, a slave and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah
To: Those who, through the righteousness of our God and of our Deliverer Yeshua the Messiah, have been given the same kind of trust as ours:
2 May grace and shalom be yours in full measure, as you come to a full knowledge of God and Yeshua our Lord.
3 God’s power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness. 4 By these he has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God’s nature and escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world.
5 For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, 6 knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with godliness, 7 godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 9 Indeed, whoever lacks them is blind, so shortsighted that he forgets that his past sins have been washed away. 10 Therefore, brothers, try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. For if you keep doing this, you will never stumble. 11 Thus you will be generously supplied with everything you need to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.
12 For this reason, I will always remind you about these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you already have. 13 And I consider it right to keep stirring you up with reminders, as long as I am in the tent of this body. 14 I know that I will soon lay aside this tent of mine, as our Lord Yeshua the Messiah has made clear to me. 15 And I will do my best to see that after my exodus, you will be able to remember these things at all times.
16 For when we made known to you the power and the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, we did not rely on cunningly contrived myths. On the contrary, we saw his majesty with our own eyes. 17 For we were there when he received honor and glory from God the Father; and the voice came to him from the grandeur of the Sh’khinah, saying, “This is my son, whom I love; I am well pleased with him!” 18 We heard this voice come out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
19 Yes, we have the prophetic Word made very certain. You will do well to pay attention to it as to a light shining in a dark, murky place, until the Day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts. 20 First of all, understand this: no prophecy of Scripture is to be interpreted by an individual on his own; 21 for never has a prophecy come as a result of human willing — on the contrary, people moved by the Ruach HaKodeshspoke a message from God.

2 But among the people there were also false prophets, just as there will be false teachers among you. Under false pretenses they will introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and thus bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 Many will follow their debaucheries; and because of them, the true Way will be maligned. 3 In their greed they will exploit you with fabricated stories.
Their punishment, decreed long ago, is not idle; their destruction is not asleep! 4 For God did not spare the angels who sinned; on the contrary, he put them in gloomy dungeons lower than Sh’ol to be held for judgment. 5 And he did not spare the ancient world; on the contrary, he preserved Noach, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, and brought the Flood upon a world of ungodly people. 6 And he condemned the cities of S’dom and ‘Amora, reducing them to ashes and ruin, as a warning to those in the future who would live ungodly lives; 7 but he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was distressed by the debauchery of those unprincipled people; 8 for the wicked deeds which that righteous man saw and heard, as he lived among them, tormented his righteous heart day after day. 9 So the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and how to hold the wicked until the Day of Judgment while continuing to punish them, 10 especially those who follow their old natures in lust for filth and who despise authority.
Presumptuous and self-willed, these false teachers do not tremble at insulting angelic beings; 11 whereas angels, though stronger and more powerful, do not bring before the Lord an insulting charge against them. 12 But these people, acting without thinking, like animals without reason, born to be captured and destroyed, insult things about which they have no knowledge. When they are destroyed, their destruction will be total — 13 they will be paid back harm as wages for the harm they are doing.
Their idea of pleasure is carousing in broad daylight; they are spots and defects reveling in their deceptions as they share meals with you — 14 for they have eyes always on the lookout for a woman who will commit adultery, eyes that never stop sinning; and they have a heart that has exercised itself in greed; so that they seduce unstable people. What a cursed brood!
15 These people have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Bil‘am Ben-B‘or, who loved the wages of doing harm 16 but was rebuked for his sin — a dumb beast of burden spoke out with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s insanity! 17 Waterless springs they are, mists driven by a gust of wind; for them has been reserved the blackest darkness. 18 Mouthing grandiosities of nothingness, they play on the desires of the old nature, in order to seduce with debaucheries people who have just begun to escape from those whose way of life is wrong.

19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for a person is slave to whatever has defeated him. 20 Indeed, if they have once escaped the pollutions of the world through knowing our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah, and then have again become entangled and defeated by them, their latter condition has become worse than their former. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the Way of righteousness than, fully knowing, to turn from the holy command delivered to them. 22 What has happened to them accords with the true proverb, “A dog returns to its own vomit.”[a] Yes, “The pig washed itself, only to wallow in the mud!”

It seems to me there are many coming into this thread who see judaizers under their beds.

I know of no one in this thread who is under the law, however everyone who sees teh word, obey, jumps gladly to thatt determination, actually they conclude it.

This thread is not about being under the law it is about how the Holy Spirit, once having converted the heart, gives us
the ability to read the law and understand teh wisdom and truth in those laws not yet fulfilled by Jesus Christ.

He has fulfilled what is written in prophecy of Him by the prophets and the law.

Obedience under grace is what Salvation is about. To believe in disobedience of God's will for us, and wore yet, to teach against obedience is not right.
Ive run into a few judaizers during my visits to other forums.
Ill be as meek as possible in explaining, it did not go well for them nor their constituents.
And if anyone needs a sword, just ask.

I hope that no one here would temp a fellow member of the Body to curse.
Though we are many members set in place individually by the Lord. I believe we are all to conduct ourselves with moderation and control. And not to let any anger take hold where misunderstandings arise. I know how difficult it may be for some to convey a reasoned response at times.

If anyone where to ask me more of what i believe about Grace, i would respond with the Lords, "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth!"

As far as I have experienced in the Forum, there are no judaizers who come into it.

A Judaizer would be someone wanting believers to trun away from Yeshua, Jesus, in favor of going back to the laws given Moses.

Anyone who know Jesus Christ even new to knowing Him, knows He is our salvation, not the law.

They also know that the majority of the laws are obsolete because Jesus has fulfillet, completed, them.

It seems those looking for judaizers under their beds are the legalists since they keep making the
charges against individuals here who believe they should obey Jesus Christ, and none other.

He has given us His Holy Spirit to guide us through the writings of Moses without the veil that otther professing to know Him
have not been able to remove.

If they had removed it they would not be so moved with guilt as to attmpt to revese and edit God's Word, most glaring,
The Ten Commandments.

There is nothing to fear in doing our best to obey God, for jusst as it was with David, it is with all who believe.
If we shoudl sin, major or minor, we are always in grace for God's mercy is freshe every morning. Blessed be Jesus Christ our Lord, God and Savior, amen.

Come to us soon, dear Jesus, amen.

God doesn't have commandments.

Men have commandments.

God has a law. This law is placed into the hearts and minds of His People. And its not commandments that are placed there. It is the fulfillment of those commandments that is written.

I am not disagreeing with you, but as I understand it God was always the source even for the law Moses gave us.

The law is the marriage proposal for God and His bride. David teach us that the law is perfect but also that the law is written on his heart. He teach us that we have to love the law, take delight in it and not forget it. How can we read that and say Jesus destroyed it? Friend it is our interpretation and understanding of God's law that has changed.

The law was always written on our hearts but thank God he gave it to Moses to write it down because imagine the deception without the Bible being available to all :) .
I do not agree with everything you say here....before Adam sinned he knew neither good nor evil and had no need of "the law"......just the command not to eat of the tree....the law was not given unto all....only the Jews.....How can the law be perfect in the sense as we use the word? My bible states it is weak thru the flesh and will pass....the bible states that the LAW CAME THRU MOSES BUT GRACE AND TRUTH THRU JESUS and Hebrews is clear.....the entire covenant has been changed from top to bottom....NO MAN CAN KEEP THE LAW, the law was designed to PROVE GUILT NOT SAVE OR EXONERATE anyone.....it is an INFERIOR SYSTEM and had to be changed (see Hebrews) and understand that Hebrews contrasts the Law and Grace and how GRACE is a BETTER WAY AND SYSTEM!

Thank you. Jesus had to tell them this BECAUSE the law did not. Because that was not the purpose of th law, Yet these religious jews made it the purpose and because of it, thought they were righteous when they were vile sinners. (Sadly I know ALOT of religious people who are just like the, and we see many who are exposed when this deep internal sin finally falls into physical acts, which by then, it is usually to late to help a person.)

This is something i would think most would understand concerning the pharisee's(scribes) lawyers) of Yeshua's(jesus) day.
They were inwardly reviling while outwardly they went about with adorning themselves, widening their phylacteries, and lengthen their tassels as a show of haughtiness.
This is not the case with Yeshua. He came to a person as they were and helped. And every time the brood of vipers came around he was quick to admonish them.
That generation was judged long ago.

If anyone were to teach today it would be to Boast in Christ the Holy One.
After all there are many members to the Body.
James 3

So for the sake of continuing a conversation in Christ.
Uphold the truth already established in your heart.

A daily sacrifice is worthy to those who are thankful for the Free Gift of Grace and the exceeding abundance of provisions including the understanding of treasures in heaven like gold, silver, and copper.

:And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

:So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Walk trough the valley
If the law could have been kept, there would have been no need for Jesus Christ. The 10 commandments, IMHO, should be a guide for us to live by as well as the example Christ gave us.

The fact remains that only the Holy Spirit can enable us to do and to live as God wants us to.
The reason Christians are not under the Law is that we are under God's influence: The Holy Spirit, is that influence of a new heart. "The Law was made for sinners and not for the righteous," a change of Law is written on our hearts. "Some preach Christ out of strife and contention and some out of Love and well doing. The preaching of obeying commandment's implies its not written on the heart by the Holy spirit, implies the person is not "Dead to the Law by the body of Christ." "You have no need for any man to teach you, the anointing abides in you and teaches you all things." Thankful for the freedom we have in Christ, "You have been bought with a price, be not the slaves of men." Those preaching the Law encourage us to be being thankful for the freedom we have in Christ. "Not as men men pleasers but doing the will of God from the heart."
The difference between sin under the Law
and the new covenant, "Wathever is not of Faith is sin."
"Faith works by Love." We are already in touch with the Love of God by the Holy Spirit, have sufficient Grace as God's influence. We enter in from a place of Forgiveness. "I write to you little children because you are forgiven."
"All manner of sin shall be forgiven to man, but rejecting the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven to man.
Not a command to receive the Holy Spirit yet rejecting Him cant be forgiven. Like a turning upside down of the Law.
Growing in Love doesn't mean more forgiveness, we start as forgiven.
Refusing to Love and forgive is the trouble and what can't be forgiven, "The merciful shall obtain mercy."
"He that is forgiven much Loves much." Paul had to clear up that this did not mean to go on sinning.
We begin with the Love of God in our heart, not an outward command that we could not fulfil under the Law.

We still struggle to walk by faith and are in sin when we don't. Not trusting God's grace as sufficient would be sinning, by giving up on God working in us to go back and live in pleasure: Matthew 24:48
We are to avoid strivings about the Law as they are unprofitable and vain: Titus 3:9
Doesn't mean we sin if we don't avoid striving about the law, we eventually see the striving about the law that the Law is not of faith: Galatians 3:12
Understand that for some this doesn't include the 10 commandments but the striving about the Law unprofitable. Being told your a sinner if you don't live up to peoples expectations of the Law, helps you see the freedom you have in Christ. Free to make your own decision, to chose what is of Faith for you: to believe God that we are forgiven as we come to Him by Faith. "He that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." To see the freedom we have in Christ, free from all that striving to please man and God "Strive to enter His Rest." Those who strive about the law can't see this as fulfilling the Sabbath rest, should be convincing, "Strive to enter His Rest." Entering into rest in God is such a high calling, yet even while we have not attained it we are still forgiven, not about attaining forgiveness. But 'if we suffer with Him we shall rule with Him." about attaining the Resurrection, where we are by Faith. "Few there be that find it" If we were not forgiven along the way we would not be able to move forward. "Let us go on to perfection, and this we will do if God permits" "God resist the proud, and gives His influence to the humble."

Marriage encompassed between a man and woman is a pure and undefiled bed.
And needs no further discretionary comments.
Adultery, the Lust of the eyes is also attributed to wandering stars, and idolatry.

The Greatest command in the Royal law written on a heart of flesh.
Devarim(deuteronomy 6
And you shall, [therefore,] hearken, O Israel, and be sure to perform, so that it will be good for you, and so that you may increase exceedingly, just as the Lord, the God of your fathers, spoke to you, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God; the Lord is one.
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your means.

And these words, which I command you this day, shall be upon your heart.
And you shall teach them to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk on the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for ornaments between your eyes.
And the second is Like
Vayikra(leviticus 19

11 “‘Do not steal from, defraud or lie to each other. 12 Do not swear by my name falsely, which would be profaning the name of your God; I am Adonai. 13 Do not oppress or rob your neighbor; specifically, you are not to keep back the wages of a hired worker all night until morning.14 “‘Do not speak a curse against a deaf person or place an obstacle in the way of a blind person; rather, fear your God; I am Adonai.
(RY: v, LY: ii) 15 “‘Do not be unjust in judging — show neither partiality to the poor nor deference to the mighty, but with justice judge your neighbor.
16 “‘Do not go around spreading slander among your people, but also don’t stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is at stake; I am Adonai.
17 “‘Do not hate your brother in your heart, but rebuke your neighbor frankly, so that you won’t carry sin because of him. 18 Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.

2 Peter 1Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

1 From: Shim‘on Kefa, a slave and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah

2 and 20 to the 4 winds
Something i would approach on the subject of overlooking is in what our Lord taught us. Just as was promised of the Ruach HaKodesh(Holy Spirit)

If there weren’t, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with me; so that where I am, you may be also. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Furthermore, you know where I’m going; and you know the way there.”

[SUP]5 [/SUP]T’oma said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going; so how can we know the way?” [SUP]6 [/SUP]Yeshua said, “I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Because you have known me, you will also know my Father; from now on, you do know him — in fact, you have seen him.”

“I have told you these things while I am still with you. [SUP]26 [/SUP]But the Counselor, the Ruach HaKodesh, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything; that is, he will remind you of everything I have said to you.

On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as a testimony to them and to the Goyim. 19 But when they bring you to trial, do not worry about what to say or how to say it; when the time comes, you will be given what you should say. 20 For it will not be just you speaking, but the Spirit of your heavenly Father speaking through you.

“‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

[h=1]James 2King James Version (KJV)[/h] 2 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
[SUP]6 [/SUP]But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
[SUP]8 [/SUP]If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

God doesn't have commandments.

Men have commandments.

God has a law. This law is placed into the hearts and minds of His People. And its not commandments that are placed there. It is the fulfillment of those commandments that is written.
The word translated as law is actually instructions, so God's law was his instructions to Israel. The Bible is clear that it is God's commandments.

Gen_26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Exo_15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon theEgyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Exo_16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
Exo_20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Lev_22:31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD.
Lev_26:3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments,and do them;
Lev_26:15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
Lev_27:34 These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the childrenof Israel in mount Sinai.
Num_15:22 And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,
Num_15:40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
Deu_4:40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
Deu_5:10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
Deu_5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep allmy commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
