Genesis 6:4 "There were GIANTS in the earth in those days"

FEE-FAI-FO-FUM is this where the Giants from what we know today, come from? Giants, sons of God, came onto the daughters of man, and bare children. Angels? Half-lings? or Demons? what exactly were these beings. All I know is, this one confused me. Many theories. All I know is the Bible said it, "Giants". They existed back then. Let me hear your thoughts on this one, were they Angles, or something else. I'm confused.

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]I like Enoch's version which says, "Now the angels, the sons of heaven, saw that the daughters of men were beautiful." This leaves no doubt that the phrase "sons of God" is referring to angels as those who took wives from the progeny of mankind, the result being giants.

And regarding these giants, Goliath would be a poor representation of them, for the prophesies of Enoch said that the offspring of the sons of God were 350 cubits tall, which would be over 400 ft. [/FONT]

From this short notion in Genesis, its quite impossible to say who were the giants. If the sons of God, or their children.

It's funny, I have never read any books, that are outside of the Bible, but, one must seek the truth, and understanding from every book. I have read the book of Enoch, it's.....very detailed, leaving nothing out. Thank you all for sharing, I must pray now to see what He reveals to me.

later in Judges 19 we see very strong allusions to the same thing going on among 'the sons of Belial' who were desperately trying to get a Levite who visited the city -- it's said such evil had not been seen in all the land since before the Exodus! so when was such evil seen before? at Sodom? what were they trying to do there? what's so important about angels, or a Levite, that the wicked men were so desperate to get them?

all of Israel wiped out the city, and almost the whole tribe of Benjamin, over this. what was going on?
was it the same thing, in all three cases?
before the flood, at Sodom, and at Gibeah?

Christ said it will be as in the days of Noah, and as in the days of Lot, at the end of the age.

Also this speaks that they wanted to have sex with the men for Lot offered his 2 daughters,and to leave the men alone.

Gen 19:23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
Gen 19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
Gen 19:25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

The the 2 angels took Lot and his wife,and daughters,out of the city,and God destroyed the cities.

Eze 16:48 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Eze 16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Sodom had other sins besides homosexuality,but it was homosexuality that did them in,and God would test them in that area.

God sent the two angels in the form of men to Sodom.

God tested Sodom and Gomorrah by how they treated the 2 men to see how wicked they were,and the men surrounded the city,and said bring those men out that we may know them,have sex with them,and not one person cried out,men let us not do this wicked thing,but all were of one accord wanting to have sex with the men,or in agreement to it,and then God knew that there was no righteous in the cities,and He overthrew the cities.

we should not ever read this thinking that God is ever ignorant, ever was ignorant, or ever will be ignorant of anything at any time.

He says things like this for someone's benefit.

And the beast kingdom will be in to the occult,spiritual evolution through nature,and not acknowledge any god,which it will be like the days of Noah where the imagination of their heart is continually evil.

If the above was true, then there could have been no giants, because it was the merging of angels and women that produced the giants.

God would know what they would do by the 2 angels going to Sodom,but He still had to allow it,for He gives a chance before He dishes out punishment,so then there is no excuse,even though He knows what they will do.

God will not give up on the world until they give up on Him,and He knows the heart so He knows who will follow the beast kingdom.

But He still gives them a chance even when they are going by a unified religious system based on the occult,and spiritual evolution through nature.

God will give the world 7 years to have their way,and cause all people that do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom.

During the first three and one half years repentance,and salvation,is still available to the world,and the 6 trumpets warnings to turn to God,which they do not,so He allows the man of sin to rule over them,and the devils deceive all people who do not love God to follow the beast kingdom.

Even though God knew the hearts of those that were at Sodom He still had to let it play out in open demonstration that there were no righteous there when the city surrounded the house,and wanted the men brought out to have sex with them,and not one man cried out do not do this.

God will give a chance before He dishes pout punishment even if He knows they will not do right.
