Hello all!

Good Sabbath if today is yours.

To those who are not so familiar with the Holy Scriptures. Understand, anything occurring yet in this age in Israel is but the precursor to the true Israel with its capital, New Jerusalem come down from God.

Any who would like to understand the situation best might read Daniel and Revelation. That is not a lot of reading, and it is
filled with Light.

God bless all in J3esus Christ, and all who will come to Him, amen.

Just a couple of things in this regard which should be noted:

Jerusalem in Israel on earth will remain Jerusalem, but it will be a redeemed and restored Jerusalem under Christ. Which means that it will be purged from every defilement and will see a true temple (a fourth temple) of God eventually established.

New Jerusalem will indeed descend from Heaven, but will hover over the earth and give light to the earth. It will NOT literally come down to the earth, since New Jerusalem is actually the size of a continent, and far greater than any continent because of its dimensions -- 1500 cubic miles (since it is a cube, similar to the Holy of Holies, which was also a cube).

Declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was long overdue, but it is part of the fulfillment of prophecy. In the near future a third temple will be built in Jerusalem, to be hijacked by the Antichrist.

I am not worthy to comment on this.

So many fantasies again.
Everything in Scripture could be deemed as fantasies by those who will not believe what is revealed. Start with this prophecy and see how it will be fulfilled:

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zech 12:10).

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Rev 1:7).

People can make various fantasies even based on some verses. Its nothing new. Interpretation is nothing measurable.

When understanding by the Holy Spirit comes we will know. If it has for some this is no motive to attack the messenger.

I have read and studied Daniel and Revelation enough to know that they do not say anything at all like you are suggesting that they do.

The Select Bibliography that I posted is a list of some of the commentaries on, and introductions to, the books of Daniel and Revelation that I have here in my study. I deleted from the list those commentaries and introductions that you would probably not be familiar with.

I was referring to the suggestion that what we see happening in Israel today is a precursor to events described in the books of Daniel and Revelation. Throughout the history of the Church, less than brilliant minds have “seen” in the books of Daniel and Revelation their own current events!

Allow me to quote Someone Who knows.

And when you see Jerusalem, and the times of the gentiles fulfilled, watch!

There is much more, but I am believing people who come in this forum have read the Word at least some of it.

It often staggers me how totally the Scriptures can be misunderstood.

President Trump is right- Jewrusalem belongs to the Jews. The Philistines were the evil ones in the Bible. Goliath was a Philistine and David was a Jew. The Philistines brought the false teaching of the Koran. The Jews are no longer God’s people by physicality, unless they get baptized into Christ like everyone else. But that doesn’t matter. China belongs to the Chinese, America belongs to Americans, and Jerusalem belongs to the Jews.

.......... and then, there are people like this who seem to understand most of the Bible so well, that it renews my confidence in the ability of us humans to truly hear God.

Evidently you do not believe all the prophecies concerning Jerusalem after the second coming of Christ. So in fact you may be the one who refuses to understand why God chose Jerusalem to be an eternal redeemed and restored city on earth.

Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion [Jerusalem] with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain...Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. (Zech 8:1-3;22).

I was not even discussing the eternal home of the Church, which is indeed New Jerusalem -- the heavenly city. Let's stay focused on the topic -- Jerusalem on earth. And you simply ignored the prophecy quoted, and its siginifance.
this earth will be pass away u see. overstand?
Evidently you missed the GOOD NEWS about the New Heavens and the New Earth. That is sad indeed.

The israel present is but a staging ground for the specifics of prophecy in Revelation.

The Jerusalem now is akin to the slave, while the New Jerusalem to come is the truly free, our Jerusalem who believe Jesus Chrisst.

America belongs to Americans.
You mean to the original Americans or to European conquerors?

If to the original ones, OK, then Jerusalem belongs to Jews (even though Jerusalem is not originally Jewish city, but nevermind).

If the USA belongs to its current inhabitants, then Jerusalem belongs to Palestinians from the half part. (And Palestinians are more semitic than today's Jews who came mixed from Russia, Europe and USA).
