Genesis 6:1-4 (NIV) tells us how giants came into existence before the flood, but how did they survive the flood?

When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the LORD said, My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years. The Nephilim (Giants) were on the earth in those days—*and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

*One of Ham’s sons was Cush, who became the father of Nimrod. Another was Canaan who was the father of the Jebusite, Amorite, Girgasite, Hivite, and seven other “-ites” as the KJV says, “and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.”

For mine Angel (see John 1:1) shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.” (Exodus 23:23 KJV)

Israel was to conquer “Canaan Land” which was permeated with giants. Israel looked like **grasshoppers to them when the 12 spies were spying out the land before Israel’s infiltration according to God’s instructions.

We know there were giants in the time of Joshua for sure because it is written in Numbers 13:30-35 (NIV)

Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."
But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are."
And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim (giants) there. We seemed like **grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

Who, pray tell, carried the gene of the giants’ bloodline on the ark?

I don’t think it was Ham, even though he showed himself as being quite nasty to his father Noah.

Nowhere is Scripture that I am aware of explain this. I suppose it can only be one of to possibilities. !. They somehow did survive (I find this unlikley) 2. They did similar things post flood (I find this likley, as even Yahshua/Jesus said in the end times would be like the days of noah) However neither of these are 100% provable and are speculation, but Scripture does show they did exist.

First, there is no reason that every giant must be of those giants. Genetical disease or mutation can also produce big people. There is no need for the connection to the "angelic" ones.

"And also afterwards" - this is written in the past tense context. So it just means "after the sons of God came to women of men". It does not have to mean "in our days".

This is true, but it does not prove for for against, but is important to mention IMO. However this is clear and Scriptual post flood:

Numbers 13:32-33, “And they gave the children of Yisra’yl a disturbing report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land eating up its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. And we saw there the Nephilim, (#H5303) sons of Anaq, (#H6061) of the Nephilim (#H5303). And we were like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and so we were in their eyes.”

Ever seen a giant tread water? They are like their own air boat.
I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. Genesis 6:17

According to scripture, Canaanites had many giants, and Canaan was a descendant of Ham, one of Noah's sons. There is also indication that Nimrod was a Giant. He is called Gilgamesh in 1 Enoch. Just sayin'

You are correct in what you say, but that is why I beleive it must have been post flood re-corruption because it says Noah was perfect in his generations, thus it seems Ham would have been pure at minimum at that time, not guaranteed but unlikley that Hamn would have bneed brought along if he were not, after this and his decendants are another story:

Genesis 6:9-13, “This is the genealogy of Noaḥ. Noaḥ was a righteous man, perfect in his generations. Noaḥ walked with the Mighty One. And Noaḥ brought forth three sons: Shĕm, Ḥam, and Yapheth. And the earth was corrupt before the Mighty One, and the earth was filled with violence. And the Mighty One looked upon the earth and saw that it was corrupt – for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth and the Mighty One said to Noaḥ, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. And see, I am going to destroy them from the earth.”

I'm thinkin' that Ham's wife had the blood line of Nephilim. Ham didn't conceive on his own.

I don't think they did. I believe that the ones after the flood were a re-occurrence of the same perversion. The fallen angels survived the flood.

Marc,
Serious question, do you think this rightly divides with what Jesus said about an unclean spirit that goes out of man and goes to the dry places and then comes back with 7 more worse than himself?

the context of Gen 6 has nothing to do with angels . The chapter is speaking of Evil men and their deeds

This would explain why God commanded Israel to literally kill out everything in those nations. Quite similar to the flood.

Even though I do not know why also animals.

There is no proof in Scripture that angels can produce offspring. Why do people insist that the "sons of God" refers to angels?
While the word giant does refer to men of great height, it also refers to men who are just brutal and mean.
Personally I do not believe that these giants are the offspring of angels but just big brutal men with earthly fathers.
Saul was considered a giant by some because he was so much taller than the average Jew.
Every generation has had giants, even today.
