No matter what you think about Christmas, celebrate or not, bash it or defend it, it is communing up soon. I read an article in Decision magazine, by Billy Graham, The Mystery of the Incarnation, and the idea of G-d (think about it G-d of heaven and Earth, Master of the universe, Creator of all things… me and you and all that you know and all who you love) stepped out of heaven, while still being His G-d self in heaven, because He loves filthy humans like me…. And most likely you too if honest…

What is man that He is mindful of him?

Weather the idea of Christmas is right or wrong, the fact remains the same G-d, Himself became flesh and dwelled amongst us. For no other reason than He loves His creation, mankind… you and me….

PRETTY COOL YEAH!?! Or whatever they say these days…lol date myself...lol....

Yes, mcube. Pretty cool! We arent folks to decorate (altho a tune that goes like Deck the halls is in mind) and make feasts on Christmas. But as we often equate it with Christ's coming to earth, we do celebrate a bit and hope the children will understand what it really means, instead of being distracted w/ the school parties, holiday panic and traffic of people shopping, etc.

To set a time for reminiscing, act of kindness, gift giving, in the name of the Lord is that so bad? To decorate, celebrate, express our joy of the birth of the promised one is that so bad? I think Christmas should be 24/7 in a believers life.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR POST!!!!! I agree with you 100%. As a Jew I do not celebrate Christmas, because I have a son who I have raised messianic, to make him not feel different, like I did growing up, (well his dad is a non-Jew too, so heathen but non-Jew so he likes to show off...lol) We buy a birthday cake and sing happy Birthday to Y-shua on Christmas and he opens a present. (Right now is Hanukkah so I look golden...lol)....

But, I get Christmas is for many Christians is what Yom Kippur is to most Jews that is the one time a year when they go to church. I also get it is not a Biblical Holiday but I do love the fact most people, saved, unsaved, have in there face, at this time, G-d became flesh and dwelled amongst us. It should not take Christmas for us to think about that, and I think it's a sad reflection that people (general people that is, not personal) cannot give praise to G-d for becoming the equivalent of an earth worth to save mankind!!!!!!
