John said in his Gospel, " the law came through Moses " . Paul said that sin was committed in the world before the law was given, and that death reigned from Adam through Moses ( the wages of sin is death ), with the Law not coming until Moses.

if you want to be technical ( because you will try to say this to dispute the truth I just dropped on you, as I said, I know folks like you, and your little tricks ), God did give Abram circumcision , which was part of the Mosaic Law. but, that's it. no Sabbath, no 9 other Commands , those were not given till hundreds of years later.
The Levitical Priesthood that the Pharisees worshipped was "ADDED to the Laws Abraham was given. Levi wasn't even born in Abraham's time. He had God's Laws as did Adam, but they didn't have the Levitical Priesthood until Moses.

Gal. 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

This is the Law that Paul mentioned.

Ex. 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

I know this is what the preachers of today teach you but the Bible teaches differently. as you said "The Wages of sin is death" Where there is no law, there is no sin.

Gen. 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Gen. 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

Gen. 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

Gen. 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Abraham didn't have the Levitical Priesthood "works of the Law", that law didn't come until Moses, but he has God's Laws. I am not tricking you, the churches that preach against this are tricking you.

Who is it who practices righteousness?

Romans 9:31-32
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Those who follow after the law and work at it don't do righteousness.

Why? Because it is not of faith.

Submitting theirselves to the Righteousness of God. That's kind of a weird way to put it, isn't it? Until you realize that Righteousness is a gift given by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

You probably don't realize that every time you try to push law you show your unbelief and misunderstanding of what Christianity is.

And when the blade sprouted and bore fruit, then the darnel (tares) also appeared. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then does it have the darnel (tares)?’ And he said to them, ‘A man, an enemy did this.’ And the servants said to him, ‘Do you wish then, that we go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the darnel (tares) you also uproot the wheat with them. Yahshua will return as judge, and he says this about it:

ohn 5:28-30, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – those who have done righteousness, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practiced evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment. Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.”

yet most find Paul to make these words obeselte, are those going to then tell Messiah He was wrong and Paul had it right?

Galatians chapter 1

6
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
7 which is really no gospel at all.

If the "different gospel" was not grace + the law of Moses, what was it then?
At first, I always believed that was every doctrine that doesn't have support in the Holy Scripture. Yet, I never had thought that could be associate Old Testament with New Testament.

Galatians chapter 1

If the "different gospel" was not grace + the law of Moses, what was it then?

The Pharisees had created their own religion according to the Word which became Flesh. They called their religion "the Law of Moses" but Jesus said they were liars.

Matt. 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

So maybe the False Gospel was following man made religious traditions, or creating their own Sabbaths and Laws and demanding people follow that for Salvation. But the only person who was preaching obedience to God was Jesus. I don't believe Jesus taught a false Gospel.

There is no Law against "walking in the Good Works" which the Word which became Flesh created beforehand.

Eph. 2:9 Not of (Man's Works) works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God (Word which became Flesh) hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

So Grace through Faith is how men are saved. Faith without works is dead. Man's works and religious traditions are a filthy rag, but God's Works are the definition of righteousness.

Our faith determines who we have Faith in. Abraham's obedience showed what God he had faith in. Not the god of his father, but the Word which became Flesh. We are to trust and "do the works" the Word which became Flesh created beforehand that we should walk in them.

This is Faith through which we receive Grace.

That is the Gospel of Christ.

I think it would make more sense if it was just narrowed do to the letter that Barnabas and Paul were given in Acts 15 and then witnessed by the two,Judas and Silas. Now which one was it they were debating, was it that they should follow the law and be circumcised, the new covenant or did they say something else to the gentiles?

The different Gospel you speak of is the LAW of MOSES.....Really it does not matter.....out of three options.

1. Salvations by Law of Moses (works)
2. Salvation by Grace plus Law of Moses (Grace Plus works)
3. Salvation by Grace of Jesus Christ (1 cor 15:1-4)

ONLY ONE WORKS......Salvation by GRACE through FAITH

The different Gospel you speak of is the LAW of MOSES...
To be fair to the Law of Moses, the different Gospel is THE MISAPPLICATION of the Law of Moses, since Moses prophesied about Christ, and warned Israel that they must give heed to Him or suffer some very serious consequences.

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;... I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Deut 18:15-18)
