Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Yes, that is one of the reasons that "the Godhead" is also called the Trinity, by multiple millions of Christians worldwide. Three distinct Divine Personalities in ONE GOD! But some people were so dogmatic that "GOD IS ONE" that some scriptures got corrupted, in efforts to RE-WRITE the scriptures, doing away with the Trinity concept! Fortunately, the KJV bible got it right ... but many others did NOT get it right!

1 John 5:7 For there are three that testify:

King James Bible
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

... which means "God with us!"

This seems like a really good place to say "Merry Christmas" to everyone ... ! So, Merry Christmas, everyone, and safe travels to and from your destinations!

Chuck Missler says the everlasting Father would be better translated as Father in eternity. I'm not sure if Chuck wishes the Hebrew was translated more accurately or if Father in eternity would fit Revelation 21-22 better. I think it's the latter. This would resolve the oneness Pentecostal interpretation.

Mary was both a girl and virgin, a girl defined as a female who has never been ceremonially unclean due to menstruation. She conceived by the Holy Spirit (which I'm told is a female noun) during her first cycle. The Masoretic Hebrew text has the Isaiah 9 prophecy as girl will the Septuagint has the prophecy as virgin.

The Hebrew word 'Almah' can be translated damsel or virgin, the translators of the Septuagint correctly translated it as virgin in Isaiah 7:14. Naturally the liberal theologians who can't admit to a miracle think it should be maiden.

"For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder, and his name is called the messenger of great counsel, wonderful counsellor, mighty God, ruler, prince of peace, father of the age to come."

Is 9:6 Septuagint

[h=1]Hebrews 1:3[/h]
