Just sharing random thoughts on how the sanctification process seems to work. It seems to draw your attention from the outer to the inner.

When beginning the walk of faith and still submerged by a wordly mindset, the motto seems to be:
Never underestimate the seductive power of a cute face.

Moving on to more substance as your walk continues, the motto seems to be:
Never underestimate the seductive power of a witty mind.

When all is said and done, realising that as tha author of the Ecclesiasts says :"I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.". The motto seems to be now:
Never underestimate the seductive power of a heart surrended to Christ.

No confidence in the flesh as Paul says:" More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him"

Amen!Hope this blesses you!

... and if the heart surrendered to Christ comes with a pretty face and a witty mind, all the better. ;)

LOL the better to deceive you said the big bad wolf..

Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

When the Son of God having no form temporally puts on a form as the Son of man there would be nothing cute about him who remains without form.. Like David ruddy, like myself who does have a beautiful wife .

We have the authority of that no form, in us but is not of us who do have form .

2Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Like the one poster mentioned... "Never underestimate the seductive power of a heart surrended to Christ".

Everything is beautiful in his own way. He who is not seen is the way the truth and the source of spirit life.

2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Enough for us ugly ones who will be getting a pretty body, like a Swan, no longer ugly ducklings to replace these bodies of death .
