There are just so many, and He has caused me to love truth above all, so I love all the truthful ones the best. :p Seriously though the first one that came to mind for me was

Luke 23:28
But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children."

This was while Jesus was carrying the cross to be crucified on, after being flogged, rejected, and sentenced to death. He was talking to the women he saw on that walk, they were wailing for Him when He says this. What an example for us He was, and to me His supreme goodness is what sticks out like a city on a hill in this passage, only to be followed in 23:34 with Jesus saying “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”, what a God we have!!!

Not only that, but it blows my mind even more when I read Psalms 22 and see how this was foretold way before Jesus was ever born. Completely inspiring to me. :D Great topic.
Jimbone's mind...POW lol!

He that believes on the Son is having everlasting life.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Gasp my first name!
I don't think I have ever called you anything but Joseph :)

I remember your introductory post, I think it was, where you gave a bunch of names that people call you, like Joe or Joey and maybe you gave a few other other examples as well, but you said your name was Joseph and that you preferred to be called that, and so I always have :)

Cool you remembered, yes,I posted that Joefizz is my favorite nickname from a kid cousin, but another kid cousin calls me Joey or Joe,or sometimes Joefish instead of Joefizz, but typically I prefer Joseph,my proper name.

Yes, I have a thing for stuff like that :D I have worked with people who called others by their wrong names all the time, and could not be bothered to pronounce other people's names properly, even when they were corrected. My given Christian name is one that people often automatically shorten, and I sometimes joke about it, asking if there is a big black hole out there somewhere full of all the letters people compulsorily drop without thinking. If someone tells me their name is Charles, I will ask right away if they mind being called Chuck or Charlie (as an example), and try to remember their preference :D Sometimes it might take me a while, like, is it Diane, or is it Diana? haha

People shorten my name so often it almost sounds weird when someone gets it right :D I was having a discussion about this with a co-worker once, who thought I should just accept that people are not going to call me by my proper name. He was suggesting that because so many people do it, I should not find it objectionable in the least. So I started calling him by a shortened version of his name, and he got so angry about it that he stormed out of the lunch room

Sorry I missed this earlier. This is a favourite topic for me. So, here is the first of mine!

Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice—alive, holy, and pleasing to God—which is your reasonable service. 2 Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God—what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2

Psalm 23:1-6,

23:1, "יהוה is my shepherd; I do not lack."

23:2, "He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters."

23:3, "He turns back my being; He leads me in paths of righteousness For His Name’s sake.

23:4, "When I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."

23:5, "You spread before me a table in the face of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup runs over."

23:6, "Only goodness and loving-commitment follow me All the days of my life; And I shall dwell in the House of יהוה, To the length of days!"

Psalm 23 never spoke to me much in the past because I thought it was for dead people. We always heard it recited and preached at funerals. But a few years ago I came to see that this was for us today while we are still alive. Not for the dead but for us living believers.

Vs.5 says He sets a table before us in the presence of our enemies. No enemies in heaven! Also., after that I began reading what the Good Shepherd does with His sheep while we were living and later when we go to heaven and are in the house of the Lord forever.

His rod and staff are not for beating but for comforting and guiding the sheep. The Good Shepherd clearly "leads" the sheep., He doesn't get behind and herd the sheep by force like a bunch of cattle. We would have been called the cattle of His pasture. Sheep are very different than cows and that is why the Bible uses "sheep" to describe us. Psalm 23 is personal for us today in light of who Jesus is. He doesn't do this for us because we earned it but because of His namesake. Amen!

[SUP]1 [/SUP]The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
[SUP]
2 [/SUP]He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.
[SUP]
3 [/SUP]He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.
[SUP]
4 [/SUP]Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.
[SUP]
5 [/SUP]You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [SUP][a][/SUP]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
[SUP]
6 [/SUP]Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

Daniel 7:9

“As I looked,
“thrones were set in place,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.

Our magnificent Father God!!!
