There are just so many, and He has caused me to love truth above all, so I love all the truthful ones the best. Seriously though the first one that came to mind for me was
Luke 23:28
But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children."
This was while Jesus was carrying the cross to be crucified on, after being flogged, rejected, and sentenced to death. He was talking to the women he saw on that walk, they were wailing for Him when He says this. What an example for us He was, and to me His supreme goodness is what sticks out like a city on a hill in this passage, only to be followed in 23:34 with Jesus saying “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”, what a God we have!!!
Not only that, but it blows my mind even more when I read Psalms 22 and see how this was foretold way before Jesus was ever born. Completely inspiring to me. Great topic.
