I thought I'd make this thread for more of a "what I like in the bible" type thing where we talk or discuss on what scriptures we hold dear or inspire us as we read, what ones are "inspiring or most important" in your opinion?
I'll give an example...
Mark Chp.5 verses 25-34(KJV)[woman with issue of blood seeking Jesus to be healed]
"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
And had suffered many things if many physicians, and had spent all that she had,and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
For she said,if I may touch but his clothes,I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said,Who touched my clothes?
And his disciples said unto him,Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou,Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him,and told him all the truth.
And he said unto her,Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."

I like this passage because it's a great example of how we ought to have faith in Jesus wholly and be grateful for all he does for us.

To me these are the 2 most important:

1 - We see the Messiah and what He did for us

Isaiah 53
1, "Who has believed our report? And to whom was the arm of יהוה revealed?"2, "For He grew up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or splendor that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should desire Him –"3, "despised and rejected by men, a man of pains and knowing sickness. And as one from whom the face is hidden, being despised, and we did not consider Him."4, "Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him smitten·, stricken by Yah, and afflicted."5, "But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookednesses. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."6, "We all, like sheep, went astray, each one of us has turned to his own way. And יהוה has laid on Him the crookedness of us all."7, "He was oppressed and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, but He did not open His mouth."8, "He was taken from prison and from judgment. And as for His generation, who considered that He shall be cut off from the land of the living? For the transgression of My people He was stricken."9, "And He was appointed a burial-site with the wrong, and with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was deceit in His mouth.10, "But יהוה was pleased to crush Him, He laid sickness on Him, that when He made Himself an offering for guilt, He would see a seed, He would prolong His days and the pleasure of יהוה prosper in His hand."11, "He would see the result of the suffering of His life and be satisfied. Through His knowledge My righteous Servant makes many righteous, and He bears their crookednesses."12, "Therefore I give Him a portion among the great, and He divides the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His being unto death, and He was counted with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

2 - We see the Messiah is the One we MUST OBEY

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it"

"listen" is word #8085 -
שָׁמַעshama` {shaw-mah'}

Brown-Driver-Briggs (Old Testament Hebrew-English Lexicon)
A primitive root; to hear intelligently (
often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively to tell, etc.)

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Psalm 23:1-6,

23:1, "יהוה is my shepherd; I do not lack."

23:2, "He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters."

23:3, "He turns back my being; He leads me in paths of righteousness For His Name’s sake.

23:4, "When I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."

23:5, "You spread before me a table in the face of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup runs over."

23:6, "Only goodness and loving-commitment follow me All the days of my life; And I shall dwell in the House of יהוה, To the length of days!"

Romans 8:32, "Truly, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up on behalf of us all – how shall He not, along with Him, freely give us all else?"

(just looked it up very great selection)
Psalm 23(KJV)
"The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea,though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil:for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:thou anointest my head with oil;my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Ecclesiastes all of chapter three is not only inspiring but important to me because it tells of our place with God and many secrets revealed, especially where it is says"they themselves are beasts" concerning us,and also in a way where it says"He hath made everything beautiful in his time:"
I jokingly talk about how we can't be "ugly" because God created us and that part of the bible says we are made "Beautiful" by him,so if someone says, you are ugly, I retort not according to Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 lol!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22,

3:1, "For every matter there is an appointed time, even a time for every pursuit under the heavens:"

3:2, "A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot;"

3:3, "a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;"

3:4, "a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;"

3:5, "a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;"

3:6, "a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;"

3:7, "a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak;"

3:8, "a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for battle, and a time for peace."

3:9, "What does the worker gain from his toil?"

3:10, "I have seen the task the Mighty One has given to the sons of men to be humbled by it."

3:11, "He has made it all, beautiful in its time. Even the ages He has put in their hearts, except that no one finds out the work that the Mighty One does from beginning to end."

3:12, "I know that there is no good for them but to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,"

3:13, "and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is a gift of the Mighty One."

3:14, "I know that whatever the Mighty One does is forever. There is no adding to it, and there is no taking from it. the Mighty One does it, that men should fear before Him."

3:15, "Whatever is has already been, and what shall be has been before. But the Mighty One seeks out what has been pursued."

3:16, "Then again I saw under the sun: In the place of right-ruling, wrongness was there. And in the place of righteousness, wrongness was there."

3:17, "I said in my heart, “the Mighty One judges the righteous and the wrong, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.”"

3:18, "I said in my heart, “Concerning the matter of the sons of men, the Mighty One selects them, so as to see that they themselves are beasts.”"

3:19, "For the event of the sons of men is also the event of beasts – one event befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Indeed, they all have one breath – man has no advantage over beasts. For all is futile."

3:20, "All are going to one place – all came from the dust, and all return to dust."

3:21, "Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the beast, which goes down to the earth?"

3:22, "So I saw that man could do no better but to rejoice in his own works, for that is his portion. For who would bring him to see what shall be after him?"

This is possibly my favorite verse and it strikes my heart like no other:

John 5:14, “Afterward יהושע found him in the Set-apart Place, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, so that no worse matter befalls you.”
