God’s biblical instructions on the does & don’ts

I created a web link that covers the Lord (God) instructing the Israelite people on how to live their lives. God told them what to do and not to do in the form of a series of verses. Those verses and their intent is covered in this link along with present day actions the Israelite’s have done that is in violation to God’s instructions to them.
It is quite possible that I have misinterpreted the verses I used or the intent which I applied to them. For this reason, I am creating this forum for fellow posters to make comments and suggestions on how I can improve the site either by adding to or substracting from its content. Or just to express your view of the site in general.
The site address is www.universalknowledge.net

Anyway, I am all ears, good or bad. I am a big boy I can handle it so go for it.

I'll check out the link later, but I will state that Christians are not under the Old Testament law. As for Israelites, unless they are ethnically Jewish, they aren't under the OT Law either. Residency in modern-day Israel doesn't make one an "Israelite". It makes one an "Israeli".

Anyone, ethnic Jew or not, who tries to connect with God through obedience to the Law is obligated to obey the whole Law; Paul explains this in Galatians. We as Christians have a far better Covenant in Jesus Christ, Who is the fulfillment of the Law for those who believe.

The law is nailed to the cross forevermore for both Jew and Gentile. Anyone who follows it follows a dead law that is no longer in effect- that’s like chasing after the wind (pointless). Jesus (not the law) has all authority over God’s people today. (Romans 7:1-4, Matthew 28:18). If you are not under Christ today (new covenant) you are in denial that you are God’s people. Now, today, all must go through Christ (not the law of Moses) to be saved.

What’s the difference between Old Testament law and New Testament law?
Old Testament law obeyed God’s law physically, under Moses.
New Testament law obeys God’s law spiritually, under Christ.

I glanced through it. It has some value for those doing a study on the Old Testament as it pertains to modern Israel. Not really my field of interest.

i agree with much that you said here. Only there is quite a bit of difference in the Law of moses, and the Gospel.

under the law, if a person commits adultery, they are commanded they must be stoned. this is written in the Law itself. you see that the gospel is not the same because when an adulterer is brought to Jesus, He does not follow the law that says she "must surely be put to death" under the mosaic Law, the woman had no chance of survival, the law is like that its by the jot and tittle. theres no place for the adulterer to repent under the Mosaic Law it is a sinful person trying to keep a holy Law eventually the person will fall short not because the law is wrong, but becuase we humans are wrong since the deception.

there are several main differences under the law, even if a person did not know the law and broke it, they were punished as if they knew. in the gospel we understand sin to be " someone who knows to do whats right and then doesnt do it. the laws basis is " an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth , a life for a life, shew no pity to the sinner purge the sin from among you" the Gospel though is " be merciful and you will receive mercy, do not judge others and you will not be judged, turn the other cheek, forgive the sinner as many times as it takes."

One is death for sinners, another is forgiveness for sinners and a call to repentance and eternal Life in Christ Jesus. Moses law was different because the hearts of the People were so hardened. but when someone gives thier life for you, thats meant to soften thay hard heart to reach the truth into us.

the law cannot provide life after death, Jesus gospel does offer life beyond the limits of the Laws temporal boundary. its actually impossible to follow the mosaic Law, and follow the gospel. if you follow moses laws you will transgress the gospel, if you follow jesus words everything thats for the righteous in the law will be kept.

i cant stone someone if im commanded to be merciful as God was to me. I cant follow Jesus dorectives about marriage and divorce, if im following moses directives about marriage and divorce, i cant live as moses said " an eye for an eye , tooth for a tooth, and still follow Jesus sayng " turn th other cheek, do not pay back wrong for wrong, forgive Love your enemies"

they are different laws One is veiled and delivered to a hard hearted people, the Other is shown forth clearly and is delivered by the One who gives His life to win out Hearts. Jesus doesnt teach people to transgress the right and wrong of the Law, by following Him, those right and wrongs will be kept already just because were following what he said.
