While I personally believe the return of Christ may be near, should that be our total focus or should we be busy doing evangelizing, praying, helping those who are lost?

Yes. You should definitely be more focused on those things, in my opinion.

It's a period of time that the Bible talks about rather a lot. God must have wanted us to pay attention.
I don't think he wants us to live in fear though or be totally obsessed with it.

That's sort of what I believe as well. I personally am more concerned with the unbelievers and what is going to happen to them.

I'm focused on my Lord, Jesus Christ and I'm not taking my eyes off of Him.

He'll put me in an ark if the rains come and he'll stand with me in the flames if the fire comes and He know how to hide me in His secret place. :)

Me too. Focused on Him and the lost.

There are at least 3 threads on this first page about end of days. One of the reasons I started this thread.

Someone else highlighted that very verse to me tonight!

And this one- John 9:4

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Yes, we should totally focus on the assignment HE has given us. JESUS said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to the whole creation (Mark 16:15)." Our HOLY LORD JESUS also said, love one another as I have loved you.

Whether you're young or old death may happen at any moment, so my primary concern is to live right (evangelizing, praying, etc) and die right.

We should be focused on the Lord.

I think most of the go-to topics on this particular forum are to talk about something that borders on God without the actual hassle of having to focus on God at all.

Sort of like politicians -- T'is better to look good, than be good.

I find if I focus on end of days I lose sanity. I try to focus on the here and now.

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these
things will be added unto you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own."

All the above. Evangelize, if you're called to do that ?? Pray about it . But End times Yes we need to be in scriptures understanding that exactly as its written . Should it be something you do all day ? Thats up to you. But its important .

End times is what Christ taught And He said it was very important ,vital for a Christian to Read and Understand .
We should always have time for God's words .
When i think of Focus, personally in study end times is a must to understand .

If you're putting any time to talking to people about the faith ; end times may eventually come up because Christ taught it .

I personally find its important to talk about with follow believers ; only what Im comfortable with .

But you dont have to talk about it with people, until you've actually read and studied the Bible yourself .I dont think people should be debating or teaching it, unless we've actually studied this to the point of recall as the Bible presents it .
But All the Words of God is important to stay focused on.

A lot of people seem to have the same defeatist attitude the two disciples on the Emmaus Road had. "It was looking so good for awhile." "We thought Jesus really was the one." "But, He has been beaten by Satan." "It is all but finished, now." "Ah... but, we had hoped."

I don't read God's word that way. I believe it when the Saint said he saw "a number so great, no man could count." And, I do not believe Jesus ever intended for us to give up when things look dark..... like the disciples were inclined to do after the stars and moon seemed to quit shining in their lives. I really do believe God told us the truth, and that He has many more people for us to reach. And, that time is going to keep right on marching along until the church has fulfilled our "Great Commission" and brought into the sheep pen those, so-far, unreached billions of souls that are still being born into this world every single day.
