Is it possible for God to use unbelievers as an answer to prayer and to meet needs? If so, is there a reason God would work through them versus a believer? Would indicate a serious problem within the Body that God hasn't worked through them and instead through someone outside the Church?

What are some Biblical examples of God using a non-worshiper as a blessing to those who do worship Him? I can think of Rahab, perhaps, but are there some others?

I've experienced this personally and it's amazing to me that these people have no idea that they are being used by God - the God they are in rebellion against! :) Sometimes it's a little confusing, and it also concerns me that perhaps it indicates there are very few obedient Christians living in my area...

I suspect God is demonstrating His sovereignty in your life. May I suggest that you simply glorify Him and not turn it into an opportunity to criticize fellow Christians. After all, if God is sovereign, it was His choice not to use a believer to bless you. :)

I didn't mean to be critical of other believers. I'm just trying to make sense of it theologically. But perhaps it really does just boil down to His sovereignty and the fact that He simply chose not to use the believers I know.

I suppose I've just never experienced it happening through unbelievers before, since for a long time my social life was mainly just within the "Christian bubble". But God has placed me into the lives of unbelievers recently, and He has worked through them in obvious ways.

You weren't being critical I think he just misunderstood you.

Sometimes God will place us in a spiritual environment that we are not used to to teach us and help us to grow in ways that we couldn't to our normal one. If you have a teachable heart you will see him use far more than just unbelievers to teach speak and guide you trust me I know from experience and even now I am sometimes in awe of the lengths he will go

Thanks! I'm excited, then, to see what the future holds!
