The Anti-Christ [the big one] has his throne in Rome
pretending to be God's rep here on earth and having
authority over the scriptures.

Anti does not always mean against.
The word used can also mean in place of or counterfeit. So i see the Antichrist as those that claim to be Christ. And that is exactly what the pope claims.

The Bible does not support the belief of papal infallibility. It declares that "all have sinned and come short of the gloryof God" (Roman 3:23).
The Catholic Council of Trent in 1545 declared this:
"We define that the Holy Apostolic See and the RomanPontiff hold primacy over the whole world". (The Most Holy Councils Volume XIII, Column 1167.)
In the same century, Cardinal Robert Bellarmine stated this:
"All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ, byvirtue of which it is established that he is over the church,all the same names are applied to the Pope". (Robert Bellarmine, On the Authority of Councils Volume 2: 266).

In 1895 an article from the Catholic National said this:
"The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ,but he is Jesus Christ, Himself, hidden under the veil offlesh". (Catholic National (July 1895).

This belief has so assimilated into society's thinking that it isbelieved by many beyond Catholic circles. According to TIME,Pope John Paul II's assassination attempt prompted a youngJewish man to say, "shooting the Pope—It's like shootingGod." (George J. Church et. al, "Hands of Terrorism," TIME (May 25, 1981).

Further Quotes;
"He [the Pope] can pronounce sentences and judgments in contradiction to the rights of nations, to the lawof God and man...He can free himself from the commands of the apostles, he being their superior, andfrom the rules of the Old Testament...The Pope has power to change times, to abrogate laws, and todispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ". (Decretal de Translat. Episcop. Cap).

In 1512 Christopher Marcellus said this to Pope Julius II:
"Take care that we lose not that salvation, that life and breath which thou hast (pope) given us, for thou artour shepherd, thou art our physician, thou art our governor, thou art our husbandman, thou art finallyanother God on earth (emphasis added)". (Christopher Marcellus addressing Pope Julius II, in Fifth Lateran Council, Session IV (1512), Council Edition. Colm. Agrip. 1618, (J.D.Mansi, ed., Sacrorum Conciliorum Vol. 32, col. 761). Also quoted in Labbe and Cossart, History of the Councils Volume XIV, Column 109.)

The pope claims to be god and to forgive sins and much more on earth, and he is just a sinner like us, this is antichrist.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. - 1 Thes.4:16-18
"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must be clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* The Lord descends from heaven

* The dead will resurrect first

* The living in Christ will be changed and caught up to meet the Lord in the air

* Comfort one another with these words

So, putting aside the unfortunate controversial timing of the resurrection of the dead and the living being changed, this event must take place and that because it is written. Else I would have to ask you why you don't understand the words "caught up together with them in the clouds?"

In the context we have Jesus descending, we have the dead rising first, immediately after the resurrection of the dead we have the living in Christ being changed into their immortal and glorified bodies, with the entire group/church meeting the Lord in the air. Regardless of timing, at some time this promise has to take place. Notice in verse 18 that it says for believers to comfort one another regarding the Lord's appearing and our being gathered together. That said, if you put the gathering of the church as taking place after God's wrath and Christ's return to the earth, then there would be no comfort in it whatsoever nor would it be a blessed hope. And anyone who says otherwise, has not grasped the severity of God's wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments.

So why do you continue to claim that there is no gathering of the church when it is plainly written?

"Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,"

Do you see the partial scripture above, which says, "Now concerning the coming of our Lord and (wait for it) our gathering together to him." Do you understand the meaning of the words "we will be changed, caught up, clouds, air?"

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age, as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. "

Why don't you just stop repeating the false teachings of others and study it for yourself?

"Anti-" can mean BOTH against and in place of, and that will be the attitude of the Antichrist. As to the pope, he cannot possibly be the Antichrist since the Beast has TOTAL CONTROL of the entire world for 3 1/2 years. Study Revelation 13.

As to the preposterous claim that there will be no Rapture, quite evidently this person does not believe the Word of God.

I concur that the office of the pope will not play the part of the antichrist. However I personally believe that a future pope will play the part of the false prophet, as the head of mystery, Babylon the great, as well as the one who will perform those miracles, signs and wonders in order to give credibility to the antichrist/beast who will be proclaiming to be God.

This is not an Argument thread. If you dont agree, please be respectful at least .

The video gives scripture. But the following thread comments, are just giving their two cents, without scripture .

Those who resort to base name calling and slander on other Christians is Satans tactics.
If you care about scripture, explain with scripture what scriptures say. Your opinion is not important.

When we debate, we do give opinions. We give scriptures and our opinions of what those scriptures actually say.

FYI, I am an anti-pre trib rapture believer.

At 17:49 the author demonstrates he can't interpret scripture.

Reply to pckts :

This will be my last reply on this thread . If anyone is genuine in wanting to study scriptures then message me .. I wont engage in vain rambling . Maybe some of the other threads are more to your tastes .

Nothing against you pckts ; But your last comment illustrates the ignorance of the negative comments on this thread ..

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

It is the reason why very few today ; do not fellowship with Christians that adhere to scriptures.

Woe onto the women because God has sympathy for the struggles they will undergo. In no way does that verse mean they shouldn't have children, and then the author of the video calls anyone who does "The W___ of Babylon".

So if you want to reply, acknowledge that instead of making generic, indirect, and meaningless statements.
