BE CHRIST-CONSCIOUS[/h]

Have you ever woken up in the morning and said, “Today, I will not sin.” And as you leave your house, you say, “I must be careful not to fall into sin today. I don’t want to sin. I will not sin!” My friend, when you do this, you are no longer Christ-conscious but sin-conscious, even though you have not sinned yet.

Men, have you ever caught yourself thinking, “I don’t want to look at any woman in case I lust”? You are being sin-conscious when you think like that. And sooner or later, you will lust in your heart. You may not sin outwardly, but you will sin inwardly.

Have you also tried confessing every sin? I have! As a teenager, when a bad thought came, I would quickly say, “I’m sorry, Lord. Forgive me for this thought in Jesus’ name.” Then, another thought would come and I would quickly say, “Forgive me, Lord, for that thought in Jesus’ name.” Then, if I happen to doubt His forgiveness, I would confess my unbelief and ask for forgiveness: “Forgive me, Lord, for doubting You.” Before I knew it, I was oppressed in my mind and so sin-conscious instead of Christ-conscious!

My friend, when you fall into sin, God wants you to be Christ-conscious. This means that when you have missed it, God wants you to be conscious that in Christ, you have forgiveness of sins through His blood. God wants you to be conscious that Christ was wounded and bruised for your sins, and that the chastisement for your peace was upon Him. (Isaiah 53:5)

When you are Christ-conscious, you will have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1) You will know that you are the righteousness of God in Christ because He who knew no sin was made sin for you. (2 Corinthians 5:21) He took your sin and now you have His righteousness.

So when you fall, don’t be conscious of your failure and feel bad or condemned. Instead, be conscious of who you are in Christ, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and continue your walk with God!

AMEN!! Thank you JESUS for this gift! Coming from a very religious back round., what Pastor Prince described here in today's devotional is exactly what my days were like as a believer for many years. I was so sin "aware" that I was not thinking about Jesus and all He had done for me but instead was totally thinking about me and all wrong things about me and my life.

Now I think on Jesus and have been set free from the merry go round. I hope in sharing this it will set others free too. She who the Lord has set free is now free indeed! Amen!!

Just worse and worse! I can’t believe anyone could follow a loser like this!

So, if you feel tempted, just pretend you aren’t. If you sin, just deny it. Because hey, you were made perfect on your day of justification, way back when, so it is just the enemy lying to you???

Hilarious!!

Salvation is a three step process.

1. Justification. Romans 5:1. God totally saves us from the wrath to come. He imparts his Spirit within us. Then, he begins to work on us.

Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” Romans 5:1

2. Sanctification - Romans 6:22; Romans 12:2; 2 Cor. 3:18 This is the lifelong process of the Holy Spirit changes our lives, and transforming us into the image of Christ. This is a journey where God brings us closer and closer, and deals with each impurity and sin. Denying sin means you will not receive the full benefits of sanctification. I would go so far as to say, JP’s ridiculous theology is going to impede spiritual growth!

But now, freed from sin and enslaved to God, you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life.” Romans 6:22

3. Glorification - 1 John 3:2; 1Cor. 13:12 This is when we will see Christ face to face, and we will be like him. No more denial or pretending we are already perfect. We will be perfect! The glory of the Lord will fully change us and we will reflect that glory.

Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.” 1 John 3:2

This is when “we will be just like him!” Now that is a day I am waiting for!

Just one last note, Christ Consciousness comes DIRECTLY out of the New Age Movement. I was involved in it in the 1970’s, and when preachers adopt these terms, either they are ignorant of the baggage and what it means in the New Age movement, or they are tapping into the forces of Hindu evil. The New Age Movement is basically out of Hinduism/Buddhism. Everyone is trying to escape the wheel of karma, and to attain Christ Consciousness, so they will go to be with Brahma, dissolve into the eternal ocean or whatever.

I wonder if in fact, Joseph Prince is a former Buddhist who is using these terms and Jesus as a way off the wheel of karma? At any rate, this is pure new age lies, AGAIN.

Joanie Marie, just put what you want to say in your own words. I may not agree, but I would respect you. Instead, you engage in this constant idolatrous worship of this scammer, whose revelations and blogs have nothing to do with Biblical Christianity.

I always remember what you told me, and this forum about being stuck in a legalist, rut in your walk. Well, you have jumped out of the frying pan, into the fire. You have lost all discernment, and you are worshipping this man as a god, and taking his words at face value, instead of comparing them to Scrtipture, and finding him lacking. That is the worst kind of legalism and idolatry I can imagine. And you don’t even see it!

PS. I’m not even going to get into the improper exegesis of Eph. 1:7. You really need to read the whole chapter and book, to see that Paul is praying for them to grow up in the Lord. And part of that is recognizing sin for what it is, not denying it. (Well, maybe later, if I have time!)

Oh Angela., if only everyone was the same as you… If only everyone thought the same as you and wrote the same as you and walked the same., and liked the same preachers you liked… and ate the same food you like and wore the same style clothes you like… and saw the world and God though your eyes… If only… then the world and this chat site would be a better place….if only…

But that just is not reality because thankfully we are not all the same. We don’t all think or live the same because God created us differently for a good reason.

I and many other Christians do not come to the same conclusions about life for the believer as you have nor about the Bible as you have. For instance this verse and those below;

Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” Romans 5:1

Note., the Bible says we “HAVE” peace with God. Not; we will have peace with God. We are righteous in Christ 100% and therefore are called to walk without any condemnation Rom.8:1 Because now the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death.

And so we walk out those truths “by grace through faith”

Note; that is the exact same way we got saved in the first place….by grace through faith. Eph.2:8-9

And so that is how we walk out our Christian lives…. By grace through faith. So yes., we have been made perfect IN Christ and are called to see ourselves IN HIM at all times. When the devil comes and tries to tell us we are sinners guilty and condemned., we can say…

“God has declared me righteous and not guilty and also a Son and fellow heir in Christ., so get lost! I’m the righteousness of God IN Christ you have no power over me devil.” And he will flee. That is called “resisting” and we resist by knowing who we are IN Christ., He did it all. We cannot resist any other way.

Salvation is not a 3 step process. We don’t get saved on the installment plan. Jesus said it is finished. He who has the Son has life… he who has not the Son of God has not life but the wrath of God abides on them…John 3:36

The impurities of sin have all been totally dealt with when Jesus saved us. Now we walk it out “by grace through faith” We walk out what Christ has worked IN us. We do not work “for” those things. We already have them. We work OUT those things.

Jesus IS our sanctification… 1 Cor.1:30-31 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus; who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

That just as it is written; LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.
For I am determined to know nothing among you except Jesus and Him crucified.

Our spiritual growth comes as we walk according to the Spirit and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We learn about Jesus and what Jesus has done in us. We do that by hearing and hearing and hearing continually the Word of God and grow and maturing in the faith. We have His seed in us and it grows into maturity like an oak tree. The oak tree oak grows into what it is.

Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.” 1 John 3:2

Note; we are God’s children NOW. Not- we will be His children., we NOW His children, sons and daughters of the Most High. When we get our glorified bodies we will no longer have to walk by faith to see this. We won’t have to resist the devil so he will flee from us.

When we get our glorified bodies we will then be able to see Him without the eyes of faith. But today we are called to walk by faith and not by sight Heb.11:1

Today we have some great and precious promises to live by before we get our glorified bodies and I’m learning about them by walking by grace through faith. I believe we have many gifts in the Atonement that you don’t agree with Angela. One of them is healing. And as we walk out our sanctification., we learn about those promises and acquire them by grace through faith.

Being conscious of Jesus is not a new age term simply because you lived it out in the 1960s Angela. I’m not going to allow the new age movement to highjack words that are perfectly normal to use. Having a Christ consciousness instead of a sin consciousness is a very good thing. Same with “meditation” The Bible used the word “meditation” long before there even was a new age movement that found the word “cool” Meditating on God’s Word is all over the place in the Bible especially in the Psalms. I do not see anything new age about any of the terms.

I put my words all over the forums in different ways than you all the time and will continue to do so as I certainly hope you will do too Angela. I’m sure you won’t always agree with me nor I with you but that is why this is called the Bible study forums. We each come here and share what we have learned and studied in the Bible. We are also allowed to share what we have heard from different preachers or teachers or books or devotionals that bless us and help us grow in the faith. That’s why I come here.

I’m not going to conform to Angela’s Ideas of the Bible because I’m not Angela. I’m Joanie. And the Lord has shown me how to “Work out my own salvation” not Angela’s or anyone else’s Phil.2:12-13

“So then my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”

And also, we have to read these verses (as we must all verses in the Bible) in the proper interpretation. We don’t work “for” our salvation… we work “from” our salvation. We don’t fear God any longer but we are serious minded and reverent as we walk by faith and not by sight., As we are learning about His grace and love for us. Grace teaches how to do this. We and learn by grace through faith in Him…. because perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18-19

There is no fear in love (dread does not exist) but full-grown (complete perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and (so) he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love (is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection. We love Him, because He first loved us.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

Leviticus 17:11, 14 (cp. Deuteronomy 12:23) “For the life of the flesh
is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an
atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement
for the soul…. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life
thereof …”

Hebrews 9:22 “Without the shedding of blood, there is

no remission of sins.”

1 John 1:7″… the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth

us from all sin.”

Exodus 12:13 “… and when I see the blood, I will pass over

you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you,
when I smite the land of Egypt.”

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood

of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony …”

Hebrews 9:14 “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who

through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,
purge your conscience …

Hebrews 10:19, 22 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter

into the holiest by the blood of Jesus … Let us draw near with a true
heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an
evil conscience …”

Hebrews 13:12 “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify

the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.”

Romans 3:24-25 “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”

Romans 5:9 “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

Question: "What is the Christ consciousness?"

Answer:
The term Christ consciousness has gained popularity in recent years as celebrities and public figures claim that they have “found truth” in this form of spirituality. Those championing this idea sometimes call themselves Christians; however, their definition of the word Christian is far different from the biblical meaning. The name of the Lord Jesus Christ is used as a means of normalizing a religion which is nothing more than rebranded Eastern mysticism.

The Center for Christ Consciousness website defines Christ consciousness as “the highest state of intellectual development and emotional maturity.” They go on to claim that “Jesus achieved this [higher state of being] in his human life, and was given this term [Christ] before his name as the recognition of his achievement of this spiritual status. This path is open to anyone regardless of their religious tradition if and when he or she is open to become a living vessel of love and truth on the planet and actively strives to attain it.” Another site defines it this way: “Christ consciousness is the state of awareness of our true nature, our higher self, and our birthright as children of God.” It does not take much research to uncover the ancient roots of this idea. It is the same man-centered philosophy that is behind most religions.

So-called “Christ consciousness” has been known by various names in history, such as Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and most Eastern mystical religions. More recently, Deepak Chopra has popularized the “christianized” version of this same pseudo-spirituality. The danger in this latest version of mysticism is the use of Bible verses and Christian terms, which can easily lead astray those who don’t check the Scriptures for themselves.

The basic premise of mysticism is that man can, within himself, transcend physical existence and experience his own goodness as being “one” with the universe, being a god, or existing on whatever higher plane he chooses to believe in. The name of Jesus is merely used as a prop in this latest version of the same idea. Jesus is seen as the “leader” in showing us how to exalt our own inner goodness and, in doing so, make ourselves right with whatever deity we choose to acknowledge. Christ consciousness groups claim that Jesus earned the title “Christ” by perfectly channeling the divine consciousness we can all attain, and they attempt to attribute this philosophy to the Lord Jesus. Those championing this ideology are merely using the name of Jesus as a means of worshiping themselves. They desire to find absolution without repentance, confession of sin, or acknowledging Jesus’ substitutionary death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

So, JM, you're into mysticism now?

How sad, you isolate two verses in Romans 3, which in fact are about the state of ALL of us - sinners saved by grace. We are justified by faith. That does not mean "made perfect." Rather, it means a right standing before God.

" -namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. 24 But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23-24

You also forget so much more of the other aspects of soteriology, namely the sanctification process of transformation. What does John say, in context, in 1 John ?

"Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us." 1 John 1:5-10

"
(My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One,
2 and he himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world." 1 John 2:1-2

These verses acknowledge the reality that we do sin, after we come to Christ. And we need to seek God for forgiveness, but also for help to overcome sin.

Unless this whole thing is about the nonsense of having sinless perfection? Because you can't have it both ways. Either you sin, and you need to confess your sins as a believer, or you are perfect, which means like God! And I have yet to meet this person on this earth. The closer you get to God, the more you become aware that you have a long way to go, in bearing fruit, in being transformed, and certainly in not sinning. That is truth! Not the lies of Joseph Prince, hypergrace and the Word Faith movement!

I don't think a Christian can grow and be transformed with this ridiculous proposition that you just need to pretend it didn't happen. That is a door for more sin to enter in. For the conscience to become hardened. For sin to take control.

Oh, some of you are just walking so close to Jesus, that will never happen? Well, my Bible in the above Scriptures certainly says we do sin. Are we sinners? Not sure I would use that term for a believer. But are we perfect? Not till Jesus returns.

I think it is wonder to affirm God's love and saving grace in our lives. But, not at the expense of confession of sins. Because, if you can't acknowledge your sin, deny it, refuse to work on it, you are stuck in a religious, false rut of terrible significance and importance. Because God will turn his back on you. And all those religious experiences, well, if they don't align with Scripture, then they are just experiences, and ones that feel great, even profoundly, but they draw you away from Jesus and walking with the Holy Spirit.

The good news is if you repent of this sin sickness and denial, and confess your sins, he will not only forgive you, but he will help you overcome the areas that are stumbling blocks in your life. How tragically sad to be saved, but so far outside the revealed will of God for us, as we walk with Christ.

It is about time "Pastor" Prince called himself by his correct title -- "Imposter Prince" (also Joseph Prince is not his real name, which was Xenonamandar Jegahusiee Singh), who is making over half a million dollars a year while misleading thousands.

The above statement -- the culmination of his "devotional" -- has absolutely no foundation in Scripture. The fact that he refuses to call sin "sin" and calls it "failure" indicates where he is coming from.

Does the Bible teach that when Christians sin, all they have to do is to remember to be "Christ Conscious", and that will be the end of the matter?

Actually the apostle John has given Christians clear instructions -- from God Himself -- as to how we must address our PRESENT SINS (1 John 1:5-2:4).

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

So what God is teaching us here is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Imposter Prince is teaching. So here is what this passage says:

1. We must frankly and honestly call sin "sin" which is the transgression of God's and Christ's commandments.

2. We must frankly and honestly admit to God that we do sin, and that we have sinned.

3. If we say we have no sin (1) we deceive ourselves, (2) we are liars, and (3) we make God a liar.

4. We must confess our sins to God. To confess means to (a) honestly admit that we have sinned, (b) recognize that our sins destroy our fellowship with God, and (c) turn way (or repent) of those very sins with heartfelt sorrow and genuine repentance.

5. It is only when we have confessed our sins that God will forgivc those present sins, because He is faithful and just.

6. God will also cleanse us from all unrighteousness at the same time.

The message most people hear says that sin breaks your relationship or fellowship with God. The strictest message says that you lose your salvation (“backslide”) every time you sin, until it’s confessed. Others believe your eternal salvation is still secure, but you lose fellowship, can’t get your prayers answered, or can’t be used of God if you sin. That’s not good news, since all of us sin (Rom. 3:23 and 1 John 1:8).

Christians usually cope by trying to keep every sin confessed. Let me just put this bluntly: That’s impossible!
The Bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin (Rom. 14:23). Do we always walk in faith? James 4:17 reveals that sin isn’t only doing things that are wrong, but it’s not doing what we know is right. Would any claim they are loving God and others as they know they should?

By these definitions, we all sin through the weakness of our flesh. It’s impossible to keep every sin confessed. Even if it were possible, that puts the burden of salvation on our backs. There wouldn’t be any peace or rest in our relationship with the Lord if that’s the way it worked (Rom. 5:1).

Most people, including Christians, see the forgiveness of sins as something that God can do, and continues to do, but not as something He has completed.
From that comes the false concept that we must constantly confess our sins, which makes and keeps us sin conscious.

The New Testament presents the forgiveness of sins as something that is already accomplished
and that the effect of this redemption is that we are not even to be conscious of sin (Heb. 10:1-2).
Ask yourself, what produced the forgiveness of sins and when did that happen? Jesus was the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world (John 1:29). It was through the shedding of Jesus’ blood that you received redemption, which is the forgiveness of your sins (Eph. 1:7 and Col. 1:14).`

When did Jesus die and shed His blood for our sins? About 2,000 years ago. He will never die again (Rom. 6:9-10). He dealt with the sins of the whole human race once, for all time (Heb. 9:25-28 and 10:10-14). Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins is already an accomplished work.

We don’t have to ask Jesus to forgive our sins
; He’s already done it. Paul didn’t tell the Philippian jailor to ask Jesus to forgive him; Paul told him to believe on what Jesus had already done and he would be saved (Acts 16:31). We confess the Lord Jesus, not our sins, to receive this gift of salvation (Rom. 10:9).

Does that mean everyone in the whole world is saved? Certainly not. We have to receive forgiveness by faith (Acts 26:18). The Lord has already forgiven everyone’s sins (1 John 2:2). That’s grace. But we have to put faith in what God has already accomplished by grace to be saved (Eph. 2:8).

Therefore, it’s not a person’s many sins that sends them to hell; sin has already been paid for and forgiven. It’s the singular sin of not believing on Jesus that sends a person to hell. It’s their failure to accept what Jesus did for them that puts them into that place of eternal torment.

John 16:8-9 says,
“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me.”

The singular sin the Holy Spirit reproves us of is the sin of not believing on Jesus. That’s it. That’s not to say that the Holy Spirit will not show us that things we do are wrong. But He uses them to illustrate that we don’t believe on Jesus. The Holy Spirit isn’t nailing us every time we sin; He loves us back into faith and trust in Jesus. That’s the whole issue with God.

What difference does it make in our lives if we accept forgiveness as something that has already been accomplished or not? There is a huge difference! It gives us security and peace, knowing that God isn’t mad at us and won’t be mad at us. Our sins are already forgiven—and not just the past sins we committed before we were born again. All of our sins—past, present, and even future ones—are already forgiven.

Someone will say, “How can God forgive our sins before we commit them?” Well, you better pray that He can do that, because Jesus only died for our sins once; 2,000 years ago; before you committed any sin. If He can’t forgive sins before you commit them, then you can’t be saved.

It says in Hebrews 10:10-12 and 14,
“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified” (emphasis mine). Bible commentary continued on the subject of Redemption.

We have received eternal, not momentary, redemption (Heb. 9:12). One sacrifice was made for all sin forever, and we have been perfected forever. How can we read these scriptures and come to any other conclusion than that every sin—past, present, and future—was forgiven and our redemption is eternal?

If you have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus for your sins by faith, then your spirit is perfect (Heb. 12:23)! Your spirit has been born again. A million years from now, your spirit will be identical to what it is right now, and it is identical to Jesus (1 Cor. 6:17 and 1 John 4:17). One-third of your redemption is complete.

So, am I making light of sin or saying sin doesn’t matter? No! Sin is a terrible thing, and it’s an inroad for Satan into your life (Rom. 6:16). I value the blood and the atonement of Jesus above sin. His sacrifice was infinitely greater than all the past, present, and future transgressions of the entire human race. Jesus overpaid the debt we owed.

You might say, “What about 1 John 1:9?”

First John 1:9 says,

“If we confess our sins,
[God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (brackets mine).

We don’t have to confess sin in order to be saved, to retain, or to maintain our salvation. If I believed that was so, I would kill every person who came forward for salvation. I might go to hell, but that’s the only way they would ever get to heaven. We need to confess it, not for the purpose of becoming born again, but because our flesh gets defiled. That gives Satan a legal right to function in our flesh (Rom. 6:16).

Confessing we have sinned means we are coming back into agreement with God and out of agreement with the devil. That stops Satan from dominating us through that sin and draws the forgiveness and purity, which is already in our born-again spirits, out into our flesh.

Our born-again spirits are already eternally redeemed (Heb. 9:12). The other two-thirds, your soul and body, have also been purchased by His blood, but their redemption has not yet taken place. However, God has made provision for this as well.
Romans 8:23 reads,
“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

Ephesians 1:14 says,
“Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
When redemption is complete in spirit, soul, and body, we will know Him as we are known (1 Cor. 13:12). But until then, we can experience a renewed mind through His Word. And although we are waiting for the redemption of our bodies, we can receive healing while we live in our mortal bodies. God has made provision for both the soul and the body even though their redemption has not yet been made manifest.

Unfortunately, most Christians are not taking advantage of these provisions. They have not renewed their minds, and they still don’t understand that we are also redeemed from the curse of the Law (Gal. 3:13). The average New Testament believer is still trying to get God to respond to them based on their performance. Why? Because they don’t know that the performance covenant of the Old Testament Law is over.

We are now under the New Testament ministry of grace and faith (2 Cor. 3:7-8).
The Law was given to convict people of their self-righteousness so they could see their need for a savior. Praise God, we are now no longer under the Law. First Timothy 1:9 says that the Law is not made for a righteous man. And who is righteous? Any person who is born again (2 Cor. 5:21).

I don't agree "totally" with Pastor Wommack but do agree with most of it. When I sin., I thank God for His forgiveness in Christ and thank the Holy Spirit for continually teaching and renewing my mind in the truth and how to walk out my salvation.

For as much as there are those who appose my posts and the preachers who I enjoy listening to., I'm soooo thankful to have access to so many good preachers and teachers from my home every day. Not only do I have access to different Bibles and concordances and commentaries here at the dining room table., I can go on line and hear Bible preaching and teaching along with going to church. Church is only 2 days a week and there are 5 other days to learn.

I'd say it's a shame to not take advantage of all the excellent Bible teachers we have access to these days. Personally I prefer Pastor Prince., Pastor Wommack, Pastor James Evans, Paul Ellis and a few others on line. But who ever you decide to listen to., don't allow anyone to dis-way you from getting teaching and preaching daily along with your Bible reading.

Just today I heard a message about teaching children. The Pastor said the devil has no respect or concern for babies and toddlers and children. he will begin hurting them with lies as soon as they are born. As parents we need to be more vigilant and not only be praying for them but start teaching them the truth asap. I'd say even while they are in the womb moms can begin reading and singing the Bible. Begin singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs as well. If I had it to do over that would be my game plan.

Good Bible teachers abound on the internet. Unfortunately, it seems like the ones you pick are all false teachers."Pastor Prince., Pastor Wommack, Pastor James Evans, Paul Ellis"

Why not just read your Bible? Why do you have to plug into these liars daily? Why can't you hear from God without an intermediary? That is pure Catholic doctrine. It's like you are afraid to make a move without the Master approving. Which is New Age/Hindu garbage.

If I only had one Bible, I could go the rest of my life studying it, not needing anything else, including lexicons or commentaries. I do like to have some Greek and Hebrew tools, but ultimately, my walk with God is based on 2 things:

1. Knowing the Word of God and walking in it.
2. Having the Holy Spirit to guide me into all truth!

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come." John 16:13

The more you read and hear these false teachers, the deeper you are going into walking away from God. The Holy Spirit probably was clanging alarm bells when you began to listen to these deceivers. Now, you don't even hear those bells, so thoroughly have you become indoctrinated into their lies! That is called a "seared conscience." And look what Paul starts with in the verse before!

"Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselves with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings, 2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared." 1 Tim. 4:1-2 NET

When you grab onto these internet preachers, accept them without discernment, you have walked away from the Spirit of the truth. As I have said so many times, why won't you write a devotional yourself? Why does it have to be ripped from the pages of these false teachers.

Read the Bible and pray for God to show you how to grow as a Christian, instead of reading these utterly impoverished and completely false devotionals. I challenge you to put aside these teachers, for a month or a year, and see where God leads you. I never listen to internet preachers, even good ones. I used to read a lot of theology, now, I prefer to hear from God in the Bible and in prayer. And if the voice of God tells me anything contrary to Scripture, I know it is not God. But, that has never happened to me, because God confirms his word, and does not take me on imaginary journeys into hypergrace, ignore your failures, and all the other bad doctrine which is NOT found in the Bible!

I realize God can use good preachers to preach sound doctrine. But until you, Joanie-Marie have learned what sound doctrine is, you are best just to read a plain and simple Bible, in the version of your choice, and listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. And I guarantee, the Holy Spirit will always been totally in alignment with the Word of God, no "new" (read: false) revelation needed!

Oprah is a New Ager, but this nonsense comes pretty close to New Age nonsense. Anything that is not solidly grounded in Scripture is heresy.

I often wonder when people quote their favorite televangelist so much, are they even going to church?

When's the last time they quoted something their pastor said?

Oh Angela., if only everyone was the same as you… If only everyone thought the same as you and wrote the same as you and walked the same., and liked the same preachers you liked… and ate the same food you like and wore the same style clothes you like… and saw the world and God though your eyes… If only… then the world and this chat site would be a better place….if only…

But that just is not reality because thankfully we are not all the same. We don’t all think or live the same because God created us differently for a good reason.

I and many other Christians do not come to the same conclusions about life for the believer as you have nor about the Bible as you have. For instance this verse and those below;
