THE ANSWER FOR A GUILTY CONSCIENCE[/h][HR][/HR]
Have you heard the voice of your conscience saying things like, “You deserve hell for the sins you committed against your wife three years ago” or “Why are you surprised that your child is not talking to you? You were never around when he needed you”?

You know, there are people who feel depressed all the time because of a sense of guilt, and they “pay” for their sins in terms of illnesses. In fact, doctors are discovering that many psychosomatic sicknesses are caused by guilt and condemnation because the conscience is saying, “You have done wrong. You must be punished. How can your sin not be punished?”

That is why you must have an answer that will satisfy your conscience. When your conscience says, “You have sinned. You must be punished for this sin or else God is not a just God,” you say, “Yes, I have sinned. But this sin and every other sin that I have committed were punished to the maximum in the body of Jesus Christ! So there remains no more punishment for me today, for how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse my conscience!”

My friend, the only way to bring peace to your conscience is to look to the cross. The cross of Jesus is the only answer that will satisfy your conscience.

So the next time your conscience condemns you because of sin, don’t try to silence it with your good works. Look to the cross and say, “Father, thank You for Jesus and the cross. Jesus was totally condemned on my behalf for this sin, so there is now absolutely no condemnation left for me.” Then, your conscience will look at the cross and say, “Ahhhh...peace.” My friend, Jesus’ finished work at the cross truly sets you free!

You are a real and faithful follower of J. Prince.
Not even the most hard core calvinists quote Calvin so regularly.

The question is, even if he is right (while most people think he is not), is it OK to be so concentrated on one man and his teaching?

This was a good word for me today. As it always is to be reminded again and again that the payment for sin and it's punishment was put on Jesus. Being daily reminded of this truth is needed because to the natural mind it sounds so impossible to put our sin and guilt and shame on someone else. Our natural mind and senses of right and wrong totally reject this truth from the Bible because we believe there just has to be a payment made! Something has to be done!

But the Bible is true as always, The chastisement of our peace was upon Him., and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

[SUP]5 [/SUP]But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

The world, the flesh and the devil rail against this truth. And because we are in this world, we hear it firsthand. But because as believers we are in this world but not of this world, we are called to see ourselves in the truth by grace through faith. As sons and daughters of God forgiven and washed clean.

So the answer for a guilty conscience and to be set free from any besetting sin is not to try to pay for it ourselves. Jesus actually paid for the very sin that is causing the guilt. Christians suffer for years even though they have begged for forgiveness they cannot believe Jesus has already forgiven them and there remains no other sacrifice for that sin. But when this supernatural grace and truth is believed and accepted by the believer each day., peace that passes our understanding comes and we walk out free.

The Bible has things to say about a guilty conscience. His blood cleanses us from all sin and a guilty conscience. Heb.10:22

[SUP]22 [/SUP]Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by [SUP][a][/SUP]that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water.
[SUP]
23 [/SUP]So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the [SUP][b][/SUP]hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.

It would seem so. I've listened to many teachers and preachers over the years and each one has helped me at the time and I'm thankful for each one. I always talked about and written about what I learned from them over the years. At this point in my life it's the teachers and preachers that remind me daily of the grace and truth that Jesus paid to give me that I'm listening to and talking about.

And it's not that I don't know my Bible because as we know., the Word is hidden in our hearts. So as I read different Bible verses many other verses come to my mind. As you notice I always comment on the days reading and use those other Bible verses that I've learned and add them to what I'm learning today. This IMO is good and has helped me grow by grace through faith like when I first got saved.

The message is the same., we are saved by grace through faith., we learn by grace through faith and we walk by grace through faith.

I don't see that preached and taught much and so I share to the best of my ability here exactly what I'm learning and being edified by. And if others don't like it., that's ok. I'm not much of a multi tasker and don't like to read 4 other books along with my Bible reading. So far., this works and I'll continue and praise the Lord for it.

Most of these verses are for those who are justifying sin and walking in sin. That is not what is being explained here. I like what a Christian brother named Watchman Nee wrote back in the 1950s about the Christian walk. I tried to read some of his books when I was a younger believer but today his words make more sense because I've lived it myself and now understand.

[FONT=&quot]“The Christian life consists of sitting with Christ, walking by him and standing in him. We begin our spiritual life by resting in the finished work of the Lord Jesus. That rest is the source of our strength or a consistent and unfaltering walk in the world. And at the end of a grueling warfare with the hosts of darkness we are found standing with him at last in triumphant possession of the field.” [/FONT]

Agree miknik., There is a lot said in 1 John 3. When we read vs.9 for instance, that needs to be understood in context or one would (and many have) gone off believing in sinless perfection- that a Christian never sins. But when it's read in context we find it's not saying that at all. First read it in the KJV. Then read it in the Amplified Bible. Then read it knowing we are sons and daughters born again.

We are no longer sinners we are sons. We sin because we still have these bodies to walk out our faith with., but we "sin less" than we did last week. We are walking out our faith. Walking out who we are IN Christ as we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us so we walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh. His love is in us but many of us have not yet learned how to walk it out each day. We are learning as we go to work out what Christ has worked in.

And as we go., we do not allow the devil to trip us up with condemnation and guilt. We resist the devil by knowing the truth and then and only then will he flee. We have an Advocate who has totally paved the way for us. And so we look to the cross and can go to the throne of grace and find grace and help in time of need.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and [SUP][a][/SUP]habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow [SUP][b][/SUP]believer in Christ).

This is a very good discussion to have with ourselves (and others) when reading these verses about when a believer sins. Many allow the full extent of the law to press them down to the ground. Instead of resisting the devil who uses the law all the time., many believers don't know they are under a new and living way. That God's seed remains in them. And only because of Jesus., and this gift of the new birth and the gift of Christ's righteousness., can they stand up against the wiles of the devil.

The question is, even if he is right (while most people think he is not), is it OK to be so concentrated on one man and his teaching?
Look what your saying trofimus at such a young age. If a person (a lurker perhaps) came here and read what joaniemarie stated would they surmise that what she said was unbiblical because she followed derick prince? I do not know joaniemarie but I do know who you are and I have read a lot of your post.

What did the Preacher say in Ecclesiastes? He said there is a season or a time and place for everything. What does joanies' words with your vast wisdom at the ripe old age of 33 have to do with her following prince? To be sure I have even spoken out on these boards that prince (in my opinion) is a false teacher.

However, here is what you don't know trofimus and it can be found at Philippians 1:18. and specfically at vs18. Let me give you some context first. Paul wrote this letter while in prison in Rome. The Philippian Church hear about Paul's improsonment and they wanted to know how things were going with him.

Now look what Paul says starting at vs15, "Some to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; (you can put joanie's name here). vs16, the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; (you can put Jude 3 here). Vs17, the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause distress in my imprisonment. Vs18, WHAT THEN? ONLY THAT IN EVERY WAY, WHETHER IN PRETENSE OR IN TRUTH, CHRIST IS PROCLAIMED, AND IN THIS I REJOICE, YES AND I WILL REJOICE."

The point being, what does it matter? This does not mean Paul is condoning preaching from false motives, but he knew the hears could be saved when Christ is preached regardless. In other words, false ministerial movtives cannot cancel the truth of the gospel as the power of God unto salvation. So trofimus, use some discernment and learn to know when to press/push or just back off and leave things alone.

I have owned and read a number of Josepph Pricne and Wadtcdhman Need booksd, I find both of them stray from the content of the written word, I prefer to stay with the word YHWH has provided. You know my dear sister Yahshua is the only leader according to His own words. I personally see all men writing about Scripture or Scriptual topics as commentary at best.

First of all, there is a difference btw Conscience and Voice of accusation.
When you do something wrong and you feel troubled in your spirit with a voice banging in your head telling you to make things right - that's conscience. That voice is the Holy Spirit.
But, when you sin and you still feel guilty even after you are forgiven by God, the accuser takes advantage and tries to bring you down. The voice keeps saying things like "You'll never be who God wants you to be, remember that awful thing you did last month, do you think you can actually be redeemed . . ." and so on. That voice is from Ol' Seven heads. The devil's aim is to especially break Christ's followers. With God dwelling in us, we have the power to resist the Devil, we just need to tap into that power through faith.
God Bless.

Agree. Unless His seed is in us., we are not growing up to be like Jesus. He who has the Son has life.. he who has not the Son of God has not life but the wrath of God abides on them. Also., 1 Thess.1:10

[SUP]9 [/SUP]For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)

Yes, over the years I've tried to read from different preachers and at that certain time in my life., I just didn't agree with what they said and didn't have a desire to listen to them at all. Sometimes my ears just couldn't even handle what they said. But later., like with Mr. Nee., I can see clearer what he said and understand why before I wasn't ready to hear it.

No human being has the total truth all figured out and that is why it's essential to know the Word of God ourselves so we can see if these things are true. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth but this takes time since we are creatures of time.

5 yrs ago I would have totally agreed with you and your opinions Shamah about J.Prince and W.Nee but today I see what they are saying and can agree. When someone told me about speaking in tongues I dismissed them as a nut 6 yrs. ago. Today I'm one of those who speaks in tongues. We live and grow up in Christ and learn not to call unclean what God has called clean.

I agree with you Josh., there is a difference., but many believers have a guilty conscience when God has cleansed them of their guilt and shame so they never have to be condemned again. Romans 8:1-2

Many believers have not learned to believe the truth above their own conscience. Our conscience is not sanctified.,it's still running on what we learned morally when we were unsaved. The old saying "let your conscience be your guide" is not applicable for the Christian. We are to now let the Holy Spirit be our guide who leads us into all truth. Even when our flesh says this can't be true.... God's word and the Holy Spirit says it is.

We can't stand on our own opinions or our own ideas. We can only stand on the truth of God and His word and the Holy Spirit convicts us of righteousness. We have already been convicted of sin when we were in the world and not born again. Here are the verses about who is convicted of what.

I never knew it was the HS job to convict me of my righteousness in Christ., but now I know and hear Him clearly in my spirit. Think about it and see that those 3 things; 1.The world.., 2. The flesh... 3. The devil... will be working overtime to convict and condemn and accuse the brethren. But never the Holy Spirit. He convicts us our our righteousness. John 16:7-14

[SUP]7 [/SUP]However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

8 [/SUP]And when He comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God) and about judgment:
[SUP]
9 [/SUP]About sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]About righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer;
[SUP]
11 [/SUP]About judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.
[SUP]
12 [/SUP]I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now.
[SUP]
13 [/SUP]But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
[SUP]
14 [/SUP]He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
