My son and I were reading Torah tonight and read and talked about Kane and Abel. I asked him what he thinks about the age old question, "Am I my brother's keeper?", and explained how it transcends time, because the Bible is alive (even Torah). It is interesting what comes out of the mouth of "babes"! I wonder what comes out of the mouth of adults...

What do you think it means for us today... If anything... ?

Exactly what it meant for Cain. He was responsible for his brother's welfare and well being, and the same applies to Christians today.

Got a family?

Feed them.

1 Timothy 5:8
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
